We had booked a suite and a superior double room for two nights. The rooms were exactly as we expected. ( and as they were advertised). Very comfortable waterbed in the suite, forthcoming and professional staff at the reception as well as in the restaurant. Well equipped gym that can be used free of charge as a hotel guest. The breakfast was also very good. Overall a very pleasant experience- highly recommended.

I’ve stayed at this hotel years ago, and since then it has gone through a renovation. Stayed here for three nights while visiting family in Maribor. The front desk staff are great - the night of my arrival, the receptionist was waiting for me! Rooms are basic but have everything that you need. Note, the shower pressure which is usually something I complain about in hotels was fantastic! Lots of power ports, etc, but the room did not have a desk if you would like to work from the room. Breakfast was awesome and had more than enough variety for most. I’m an extremely light sleeper so I found some noise did carry through the hotel, but I find that in most places. The only complaint I would have is that the cost of parking was slightly high for Maribor.

Our family of 5 had a wonderful time during our stay at Fani & Rozi Bed and Breakfast. Situated at one of the most scenic places in Maribor - old town district Lent - and overlooking the beautiful Drava river, the place is boasting a wealth of charm and character while also offering all necessary amenities for the modern traveller. The rooms have been recently renovated and effectively combine modern and traditional styles making them an extremely pleasant place to stay. Our children loved the fact that the place was so near to the river which is full of floating white swans and ducks. All Maribor's main attractions can be conveniently reached on foot and the hosts were extremely helpful in offering 'insider tips' for our explorations of the town. Finally, I'd definitely recommend Fani&Rozi B&B for all travellers who are (like myself) bored of mainstream tourist options and look for more genuine travel experiences. To this end, don't forget to ask the hosts about the history of the beautiful building!

The location of the hostel is perfect and we got a place in the tiny parking lot because it was January. Breakfast was excellent, the staff was kind and helpful, the room is sufficiently comfortable. The only shortcoming was the strong smell coming from the falafel buffet in the street below. It was everywhere, even in our room. I assume they don't have any filtration equipment at all.

There were some issues, one partially, but reasonably resolved, the 2nd was not. I decided it was best to leave one day early. I contacted the Manager and he told me that his head office had agreed to refund my unused day. I have 2 emails where he stated clearly that his would happen. He was dishonest and this did not happen. If there are no issues, you will probably find the facility reasonably comfortable, but if there is issues my experience is that the Manager will flat out lie to you.
One other issue is that when you contact a property through Expedia, they typically will not respond. If that had happened, I could have cancelled the booking for something that met my needs and avoided writing a poor review.

Note, the shower pressure which is usually something I complain about in hotels was fantastic! Lots of power ports, etc, but the room did not have a desk if you would like to work from the room. Breakfast was awesome and had more than enough variety for most. I’m an extremely light sleeper so I found some noise did carry through the hotel, but I find that in most places. The only complaint I would have is that the cost of parking was slightly high for Maribor.

It is right in the old town. If you drive, don't follow the GPS or the phone, it will get you around but not on the right street. Tried both. Just follow the instruction from the hotel and the blue signs pointing to the hotel, everywhere. You need to go through the lift up barricades, typical for European cities. Parking onsite, 13 euors. Hotel is very nice, but has two wings one for the hotel and one for the Hostel. It is very clean, the room looks small because the bed is big, thanks God. Washroom is good, good shower with lots of pressure and volume. Staff is excellent, breakfast is good, typical. See my pictures. I fully recommend this hotel.

There were some issues, one partially, but reasonably resolved, the 2nd was not. I decided it was best to leave one day early. I contacted the Manager and he told me that his head office had agreed to refund my unused day. I have 2 emails where he stated clearly that his would happen. He was dishonest and this did not happen. If there are no issues, you will probably find the facility reasonably comfortable, but if there is issues my experience is that the Manager will flat out lie to you.
One other issue is that when you contact a property through Expedia, they typically will not respond. If that had happened, I could have cancelled the booking for something that met my needs and avoided writing a poor review.

The front desk staff are great - the night of my arrival, the receptionist was waiting for me! Rooms are basic but have everything that you need. Our family of 5 had a wonderful time during our stay at Fani & Rozi Bed and Breakfast. Situated at one of the most scenic places in Maribor - old town district Lent - and overlooking the beautiful Drava river, the place is boasting a wealth of charm and character while also offering all necessary amenities for the modern traveller. The rooms have been recently renovated and effectively combine modern and traditional styles making them an extremely pleasant place to stay. Our children loved the fact that the place was so near to the river which is full of floating white swans and ducks. All Maribor's main attractions can be conveniently reached on foot and the hosts were extremely helpful in offering 'insider tips' for our explorations of the town. Finally, I'd definitely recommend Fani&Rozi B&B for all travellers who are (like myself) bored of mainstream tourist options and look for more genuine travel experiences. To this end, don't forget to ask the hosts about the history of the beautiful building!
