The Owners' Quarters is a lovely, open-plan, studio apartment at the top of a three-story, Caribbean-style house. Welcome to Dove Cottage. This is St. John's first eco-luxury vacation rental. I re-designed the house to maximize the views and comfort while ensuring harmony with the environment. Around every corner is an incredible view and a welcoming daybed or chaise to curl up on with a book or a friend. The north part of the house has a screen porch on the top floor- attached to the master bedroom- and overlooks the outdoor living room and pool area with views of the passing boats on the Sir Francis Drake channel and Tortola and Jost Van Dyke. The south side of the house also has a huge porch, as well as a garden with hammock, and views toward Coral Bay, the Caribbean sea and St. Croix. I have lived here on and off for the past few years and have had a blast enjoying the house with my friends and family, but now it is time to share this special place with others. At Dove Cottage you are just minutes from amazing beaches and the town of Coral Bay, yet totally private and secluded to have fun and relax on your holiday. Enjoy!Although we are happy to welcome groups of adults and have had many happy customers, the home is ideal for one couple or a couple with kids due to the attached bedrooms upstairs (NOT suited for 4 adults.) Situated on the breezy mountain top of Upper Carolina, Papaya Moon Villa Estate consists of an owners apartment on the upper level and on the middle level has two beautifully renovated independent studio suites, "A Place in the Sun" and "Suite Papaya". Shared amenities include several large covered and uncovered decks, outdoor grill, pool and pool deck and a garden hot tub located on the upper level with views of Hurricane hole, the East end of St. John and the British Virgin Islands. This VERY private home is situated on a large piece of land in a tropical island setting. If you are looking for one of the most private villas on St. John, "A Place in the Sun" deserves your careful consideration. With easy access to the Northshore beaches, Coral Bay restaurants and bars, phenomenal views, and a full list of guest amenities, this special Upper Carolina property provides its guests with a vacation full of peace and tranquility. Our family glamping site with AC is new this season! Two seperate container rooms each with a queen matress, fresh linens and towels will be waiting for your arrival. One conatiner has an additional twin mattress, and the other has room for a twin air mattress for a 6th guest. A TV, recessed lighting, air conditioning and small fan are in both containers for your comfort. The family site has a large deck with 4 adirondack chairs and table connecting the two rooms.
Our Lameshur Campsite is conveniently located next to the national park for easy access to hiking trails and beaches. The closest beach being Salt Pond right down the road.
There is a outdoor kitchen and lounge area that all campers can use. It has a full size fridge, big flat top grill, and outdoor dining area and bar seats. All utensils and cookware are provided along with fresh drinking water. Coffee pot and blender are also provided. A dartboard is ready for your enjoyment along with some board games.
A single outdoor bamboo shower is stocked with shampoo and body soap. A single bathroom is located just past the kitchen/shower area. Both are in the shared spaces for the three glamping sites to use.
A twin air mattress is available to sleep a 6th guest for an extra fee.
We are located on the furthest side away from the ferry on which you will arrive. We STRONGLY suggest renting a car. You can find our exact location on maps as Lameshur Cottages and Campsites.

Pathways and terraces surround the house and wind through colorful flowering plants, wild orchids, and tropical landscaping.
A stairway leads from the house to your own snorkeling beach. A second pocket pebble beach is accessible by swimming, a secret private hideaway perfect for honeymooners or lovers. Both beaches consist of pebbles over sand. Excellent snorkeling, swimming sunbathing in protected and calm waters. Follow turtles or schools of blue tang between the sea fans and over coral heads.
Elk and brain coral, colorful queen angelfish, parrotfish, puffers, sergeant majors, and schools of other tropical fish provide a natural aquarium around the house. Another beach and more excellent snorkeling are a 5-minute walk away at Haulover Bay.
