Been staying here a few times during the pandemic. Now that we're looking for a long-time stay, we had asked for a quotation (multiple times) to the appointed personnel: the gentleman from Sales and some ladies from FO, who both only giving a false hope and not doing their job to at least give a rough quotation. They also don't have synchronized answer regarding the health protocols and requirements we need to bring to the hotel. I must say that the security, housekeeping and waitress from the restaurant are doing terrific job; such an unfortunate that those who sits behind the desk are not being empathetic and accommodating at all. P.S. The hotel needs to be more strict with the wearing the mask policy outside the room since we've witnessed there are plenty of guest who's just mask-free every time they're out. Put more a mandatory sign to wear a mask throughout the property please. Not only in the lobby.

This hotel is very recommended for those who choose a super comfortable 3 star hotel and a jet-king king. Make a photo” just cool too. The Gazebo Garden Restaurant is an interesting and exotic place with an open terrace with a very delicious gourmet menu. There is also the Shinta Garden for regular dinner. There is also Joglo Rama, suitable for company parties, Family memorial, and other events. Oh yes, if dinner here you can get a package with the Ramayana Ballet show held at Amphi-Theater Puraa tour every night. You can check it directly at @ramayanaballetpurawisata. So happy to back to this lovely city. Zest Hotel is always being my top priority when visit this special city. The location is very strategic, nearby city, Malioboro, Lempuyangan station etc. Zest Hotel will be your perfect accommodation choice during stay in this city. I was greet by Chacha, Rindi, and Aditya that assist during check in time. They were awesome, understand and know how to make the customer feels like home. Putra also give very quick service when i asking to deliver something to my room. The restaurant was good as always, Eka greet me with warm smile. Well, this is not my first stay at this hotel. And definitely so happy to stay again. The room was good, clean, and tidy. The Room Attendant have great hospitality. On this occasion was so special, since i went with my wife. The service was beyond my imagination, since they give us a memorable surprise in the room. Well we are not asking any special arrangement during reservation, but they did it. So touchfull ;-) Thank you Zest for always being my second home in Jogja and make our vacation more and more than happy ^_^

If you are to visit the Borobudur site, this is one of the best places to stay as it's literally 100m away from the main gate (Regular visit). If you are planning on the Sunrise or Sunset tour, they provide free transportation to the gate (This gate is located around 1.5Kms away from the guest house). Staff was simply amazing. I have to especially mention Himatul who was really helpful in providing vital information related to the site/tour in general. Additionally, she has accompanied us during the visit which kept our minds at ease. As per the room, it had, 1 King size bed, 1 single bed which was more than enough for us. The room had air conditioning and an attached bathroom. They have provided a decent free breakfast with a satisfactory portion of Nasi Goreng with Guava juice(I loved it!) + they have free wifi. + rooms are air conditioned. + they have attached bathrooms + there's a common area to have your food - They don't have their own restaurant, but there are many places to buy local food including street food. + There's a supermarket/mart nearby. + Staff was super friendly and helpful. + Very close to the Borobudur site (100m to the main gate). + Free transportation for Sunset/Sunrise tours.

It's quite cheap for a family type room. It's only 300 thousand a day, including breakfast for 3 people. Unfortunately, breakfast is delivered to the room and there is no menu choice. The room and bathroom are quite clean. But the pool water is not clean and there is no warm water to rinse.

I used it alone. Booked Sunrise tour of Borobudur at Reception. Sunrise Tour is an ITAS holder, but was it around Rp400,000 for pick-up by car and breakfast in Borobudur? The room was cleaned cleanly and there was no complaint, but the adjustment of the hot water of the shower could only be adjusted to very hot or cold, so I had a hard time… There was a pool in front of the room and it was good to be able to swim casually anytime. If you order a room service menu at the poolside, you can bring it. I would also like to use it if I go to Borobudur.

The most awesome resort in Magelang, best view and best service from the staff, feeling like your own home. The resort is located in the village only 3 km from borobudur temple. The road is extremely steep, as you can only park your vehicle at the parking lot, and using their car to bring you to the villa. We are staying at first at Villa Diponegoro with amazing architecture inside, huge villa, and amazing view. However, the pool's water is cloudy after some treatment, so they upgraded us to Merbabu Villa with 3 rooms. And this villa even more amazing. The view is extraordinary, we can see the Borobudur temple very clear and the sunrise as well. The pool is very deep, so be careful with your children. The regulation is not strict, so you don't need to pay for extra pax. The food is tasty with low price. And the most calming and happiest are the really helpful staffs. They provide us with 2 private staffs that can help all of our needs, even to buy traditional food downtown. Maybe I have to say that this resort is much much better than Plataran and Aman Djiwo with comparable price or even slightly lower price. My suggestion is to choose Vila Merbabu or Villa Kayangan for best view. Villa Menoreh also offer a good view. But for guests who like indoor more, you chan choose Diponegoro Villa as it has the most amazing craftmenship for the architecture and also larger indoor area. Surely will come back again to this Villa with my whole family.

How good it is to go to an Indonesian hotel that has a star rating that matches its facilities. So many times in the last few weeks we have stayed at hotels that SAY they are five-star but are nowhere close to that. Sarasvati Hotel is listed as 3-star, and 3-star it is. It is spectacularly well located within walking distance of Borobudur Temple, there are lots of restaurants within easy walking distance, and there is a convenience store across the street. The rooms are clean but dated, and set around a quiet courtyard. It would be good to have a desk and chair, and easy access to a powerpoint in the room. I was able to use a table in the dining area for this though. Breakfast was a very pleasant surprise. As a boutique property, I expected there may be little on offer, and certainly not buffet-style. I was wrong. There was tea & coffee, juices, fresh fruit, rice, noodles, a chicken dish, a vegetable dish, a few local goodies, and bread for toasting (butter and 2 jams). There was also an egg chef for made-to-order eggs. My only criticism would be that used dishes were not cleared from the table promptly (or without having to ask). The staff was friendly, and courteous, and provided some good information about the changes to viewing at the Borobudur Temple. The gardens and pool were terrific. Rooms are on two levels, so try for the ground floor level if you do not want to climb stairs.

Breakfast service should be adjusted to the number of guests. During the holiday season, you should increase the number of chefs and the number of meals.
