Hampton Inn Chicago McCormick Place

The free breakfast is not a full buffet but a choice of egg and then usually fried potato and beefburger patty or slices of sausage. the rest was tiny yoghurt and bread for toast, or make your own waffles. there is tea coffee and hot chocolate. There was cereal and porridge but sometimes it is made so thin that its not worth eating. There is no tea in the room, just coffee. The machine had a disposable tray but they ran out so I used the same one for 9 days for tea and coffee (i got teabags from the breakfast room). Housekeeping never supplied what you asked for first time, or even second. If you want something and ask at 2pm, you will get it if you chase a couple of times afterwards by 9-10pm. There was also alot of messing about with respect to check out time. I am a member of the loyalty programme which is meant to give you an automatic late checkout. The manager gave it to me but then when I went back to ask about extending it further for a fee, it was clear the other guy behind the counter was on a power trip and the day before started saying I shouldnt have got it and as it was the manager, he wouldnt withdraw it but he could and I should only get an hour and be charged $25/hr after that etc. He was just a mean spiteful man who saw an opportunity to cause worry and distress and he did it. I had luggage to store and it was a late flight so I had to know whether to pack to store it to check out at midday, or 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 (they were messing me about with all times) but this is why I gave a 1 star for service. It is not at all professional but childish and spiteful. I had arranged the extended checkout days before and the day before they were messing me about when I had to pack and had a schedule of things to do? The worst service in any hotel I have ever been in. Hilton is no longer a 5 star experience it seems. 1 star for service.

The location is perfect just next to the exhibition hall but the services was to consider, we had many issues the cleaning service two days they didn’t clean they just took the towels and didn’t put new ones , i guess they have some problems with management hope they will solve it

忘記了拍照，這個酒店位置還算不錯，地鐵走路5分鐘左右，去中國城15分鐘左右，距離市中心也就五公之內，房間挺大，衞生挺乾淨，早餐比較簡單，性價比比較高

The rooms were spacious and clean. Location wasnt too bad as it was near chinatown and two train stations.

Sofi at the front desk was extremely rude. The look up and down when I first walked in is how we started. Then was condescending towards me because I was confused when she asked which hotel am I staying at. Because unbeknownst to me there were 3 hotels in that same location for that front desk to check in. Thought maybe she was having a bad day, but next day at check out, she was there again with the same bad, annoyed attitude. Especially annoyed that I wanted a printed receipt vs email. At that point I didn't feel like she would even care to know that I have been having email problems, hence the request for paper copy. Overall the property itself was nice, pool was clean, breakfast was good. But it sucks that the one person who's suppose to be the face that starts your vacation has such a negative attitude and puts a little damper on it. I get it, that people have stuff going on behind closed doors. But if the same courtesy is expected to be shown to her than she have shown to us as well. Because she doesn't know what we have going on behind closed doors and this little mini getaway was something that was needed more than she will ever know

Check in went very smooth. When we got into the room it was clean. They are definitely right on the eco part. The bedding was tucked way under the mattress which always worried me. I check for bed bugs and found none. The 4 pillows on the bed were hard as rocks. You imagine if they were filled with feathers it would be soft, but they weren't. Some adults were running and playing up and down the hall around 10pm. I asked them if they could play else where since I had a 3 year old sleeping. They were respectful and i didn't have anymore issues with them. I feel that since all three of the hotels were in the same building If we paid more for a room we would have had a more comfortable room. With all this being said the room was decent for a 1 night stay.

Myself and my boyfriend came up for a comedy show and picked the place based on the walking distance to the arena. I’m just glad that even though we only picked it for convenience it turned out to be wonderful the room was very large and we felt very safe with access to our floor only if your room was there. The night was so peaceful that it didn’t take long for us to fall asleep and breakfast was good because we didn’t have time to go anywhere else so I’m very grateful for the complimentary breakfast that was offered. Before we left we were already planning our next stay in April 2024. Can wait

The staff was very friendly, the facilities - pool, breakfast area, and room were all clean and well maintained.
