"This hotel truly felt like our Cape Town home for the week. It's very small, only 9 rooms, and as a consequence the guys who work there do become friends for the stay. It's a breakfast only place, no lunches or dinners but there's a restaurant literally next door called Pedlars which isn't fine dining but you can order a wide range of menu items and they'll bring it to you, whether you're by the ( very nice but big enough) pool or your room. That's what they did whilst we waited for our room to be got ready as we'd arrived very early from London. The rooms are gorgeous, not stupidly uber lux but sooo comfortable with everything you need and are super spacious all with a patio or balcony overlooking the pool. There's an honesty bar in the hotel which has everything you might want including some very nice wines. While we were there they organised for us to spend half a day at the Last Word Long Beach, which as the name suggests is a similarly gorgeous place overlooking the best surfing beach in the Cape. Last Word Constantia is definitely our favourite hotel on the planet, we definitely want to go and stay at their other hotels in SA. "

"A friend had recommended a different guesthouse in Constantia, which wasn't available on our dates, so we booked White Lodge and I'm so glad we did. Parking was included and secure. Friendly check in, where we were offered cold drinks. Large clean room, with one of biggest beds I've ever slept in, tea, rooibos, coffee, cookies and water in room. Bathroom clean, with lots of toiletries and a good shower. Pool area is lovely with lots of loungers. We used the reasonably priced honesty bar for our sundowners and the lounge area for a takeaway, as we'd been travelling all day and didn't fancy going out to a restaurant. Breakfast was perfect, a small buffet with fruit, yogurt, cereals, muffins and bread, and then cooked to order items. Staff were all lovely and welcoming. This was the perfect choice for our first night in South Africa and I hope that we can return another time."

"We were looking for somewhere new to stay in Cape Town and came across the Glen Avon Lodge. On arrival we had a lovely welcome from Ashley who accompanied us to our room on the first floor overlooking the garden and pool. The room was more than we expected and we were very happy with it as we were with our stay overall. We didn't eat in the restaurant as we had invites from other friends, but we did enjoy the excellent breakfast in the morning on the terrace and again we were well looked after by Ashley and Tobias. Checkout was fast and efficient and we had a good chat with the manager, Lisa, who was also very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back later this month."

"Η φίλη μου κι εγώ είχαμε κλείσει ένα τελευταίο ταξίδι στο Κέιπ Τάουν και κατά κάποιον τρόπο βρήκαμε αυτό το κοσμηματοπωλείο, όπως είχε γίνει η ακύρωση εκείνη τη μέρα - τι απίστευτη τυχερή κίνηση! Βρήκαμε το πιο φιλικό προσωπικό και τη διαχείριση, με τεράστιο χώρο, συμπεριλαμβανομένων απίστευτων θέατων που βλέπει την Groot Constantia. " πρόσβαση στην πισίνα μας, το braai και το jacuzzi - συν δύο υπνοδωμάτια και μπάνιο- ήταν πέρα από τις πιο άγριες προσδοκίες μας. Η τοποθεσία είναι απλά ακατανίκητη (όπως ένας Νότιος Αφρικανός που ζούσε εδώ και πολλά χρόνια στο Κέιπ Τάουν - η Κωνσταντία είναι το μέρος που πρέπει να είναι). Είναι κοντά σε όλες τις καλύτερες οινοποιητικές εκμεταλλεύσεις (η Κωνσταντία Γκλεν είναι η καλύτερη!) συν πολλά εστιατόρια και είναι ακόμα και ένα γρήγορο ταξίδι στη θάλασσα. Σας ανέφερα ότι μπορείτε να δείτε τη θάλασσα από το υπνοδωμάτιο; Αυτό είναι το πόσο καλή είναι η θέα. Αγαπούσα τη διαμονή μας και θα γύριζα ευτυχισμένη."
