Labranda Corralejo Village

Beautiful simple hotel - not too big and only on two floors which was great for us with the kids. We are a family of 6 so we’re worried about not being in rooms near to one another but they ensured we had adjoining rooms when we got there which was amazing. The children’s entertainer ila was amazing with the kids and went above and beyond learning their names etc and the children were sad when they knew they had to leave her! Great food and rooms were lovely and clean. Will definatly be back.

We stayed here may half term and had an excellent week! Lots of sun beds, lovely pool and rooms were great! Restaurant was lovely and always something to eat! Our 9 year old loved the sardines and prawns! Staff are excellent and the animation team work extremely hard! Thank you Mario and your team for a great week! Would certainly return!

We always book 4 star and above with Jet 2. I cannot understand how this hotel can have been included within this star rating. This was dirty, food was atrocious, no dietary Intolerance labelling. What was offered for gluten free was out of date. The lactose free milk was off. Food was cold. Bar snacks were very poor. Poolside- very few parasols. Broken, dirty, sparse pool tables. Broken poolside drain cover. Green round the edge of the pool. Bird poo left around the edges of the pool. Extremely noisy entertainment team. Loud music played 4 hrs a day. Guests allowed to be drunk but still served and swearing in a very loud voice. Entertainment shocking! Rooms dirty and in need of repair

I will give a detailed and unbiased as possible break down of various aspects. Cleanliness = cannot complain, you can tell they pride themselves on this and sustainability so no complaints Staff: Bar staff, Restaurants & Reception staff = all polite, always say hello etc and no problems. Entertainment staff we noticed tend to engage more with people from there native home (Italy) than other guests, which isn’t the be all and end all. But a hello, ola, ciao, etc or just a wave now and again as you walk past wouldn’t go a miss. especially when you feel you are forcing it every time you do it to them. Room: We had a leaking shower (this eventually got fixed) but the shower temperature was very and I mean VERY temperamental with constant bursts of SCOLDING water every 10-20 seconds. This meant having to have near cold showers just to protect yourself and reduce the risk of burns. Now for me this was not that much a problem as it’s a hot country so a cold shower in the morning or evening is sometimes nice anyway, but it’s something that shouldn’t even be a thing and could easily catch people out. The room itself was spacious, clean and had everything you need (including free safe and constantly cold fridge which was a nice touch). The design though = room for improvement: The shower and toilet are inside the bedroom and in a little enclosed rectangle and could be quite loud when using as it echoes quite a lot. With it being an apartment the ceiling was obviously very thin. This lead to a lot of problems with noise during the night with us constantly being kept awake or woken by rude inconsiderate neighbours who would constantly walk around (like they are in a marching band, constantly slamming cupboards etc etc) management was told of this once or twice and thankfully we left and only had to put up with this for a few days. Any longer than that and we would have had serious problems as they are just ridiculous. Any constant noise past 1am is just unacceptable in my opinion. So overall for the room I would obviously this is luck of the draw. The first week was fine bar the shower, but the second half of the second week that was our experience and that’s all we can go off which put a dampener on things. Food: The main thing is this hotel is not that large, and the first week we were there = minimal guests = no problems at all. The second week = influx of 70-80 Italians, and from there on out there was constantly things missing at breakfast despite being early and then you’d ask if anymore is coming and they would just say non left. This was slightly frustrating as they should surely have more stock if they know a huge influx is coming. Sometimes just the lack of things or certain things not being kept warm ruined it a bit. *BUT THE FOOD SERVED WAS VERY NICE* I can’t complain on the flavours of the food they served ESPECIALLY THE BARBECUE (a personal highlight, with very high quality food cooked to perfection). First time staying at this hotel, after two others in Corralejo, and i must say it was really good compared to them. the rooms were cleaned daily, and the pool i have never seen a pool cleaned to such a high standard as this one was and then the sunbeds were always put back neatly ready for the morning and sprayed with the hose to get rid of anything on them. also there wasn't the usual rush for a sunbed, we always tended to get where we wanted in the morning, there is chain across and you can't put towels on before that to save them. there was the odd few spanish/italian that put towels on and left them all day till about 2pm which i find really annoying. food cooked breakfast english sausage not just the party sausages fried egg, scrambled, there was something for everyone. dinner and tea, pasta, pizza chips etc. you would be hard pressed not to find something to eat. Staff were friendly, tables were cleared and cleaned for the next person as soon as you moved. Room not to chuffed on the glass bathroom door when you used the toilet in the night it woke everyone up. aircon didn't work at all in our room. but speaking to people this was the norm for most rooms. Faults, the music round the pool, the blonde animation team girl likes the music loud, it was horrific at times. we never went that end for that reason. they didn't speak to the English, only the Spanish/Italians. one family said their children were upset as they never won anything as they were English. and the nighttime entertainment well, i had to see it twice to understand, seeing a lass come out pretending to be pregnant was a little odd!!! and also when England had there first game they turned it so loud you couldn't hear the telly. outside it made your ears bleed. the only thing that ruined our last day was the influx of Italians, they had no respect for anyone around the pool, there kids were screaming and shouting and running around the seating area at nighttime knocking people with there drinks. there parents thought it highly amusing and did nothing, no respect whats so ever in other people staying there, food ran out by 8am and we were told that there was no more food left. when you pay for AI and it is open till a certain time, you need to make sure there is food. not everyone wants to eat at the same time. apart from that, i would stay here again. the management need to control other guests behaviour

Welcoming on arrival. quickly checked in and everything was explained to us. All the staff looked happy & enjoying tgeir work. Very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble . The Room was very clean and spacious. It was cleaned every day. Food was good and we loved the pool area and bar. Will definitely return

4 friends holidaying together, first thing you see is the broken hotel sign, no big issue but first impressions count. In a summary the hotel did what it said on the tin but was very tired. Drinks were good, food average, rooms very tired but functional. The lifeguard Claudio was a nightmare telling kids off, no inflatables can be used in the pool, but the two days he was not working you can have inflatables which annoyed a lot of guests. The staff really work hard and were really nice, Carmen, Sabrina, Sandra and Cinzini to name just a few. Animation team would engage with you if you were Italian otherwise not even a hello. Entertainment was the worst we have ever seen, to the point of feeling embarrassed for them. Outside hotel there were lots of lovely bars and restaurants and the town and port were very nice and clean. Would we return… no it needs improvement.

This was the third time we have visited the hotel,2021,2022 &2023 and each time it gets better. Once again a wonderful holiday and looked after by all the staff. Slight hiccup at the start with multiply rooms allocated but all sorted out very quickly and got in to our room at 1pm and were by the pool at 2pm It was good to see people we knew that were still working there and we were greeted as old friends Also says alot for the hotel that we met guests that we met last year and they have also come back again Plus points this visit,although the food was good it has improved this year and was lovely to eat,well done the restaurant staff from the chef and all the service staff. Animation team kept us amused with games and quiz's Room was clean and tidy and kept that way everday by the staff,thank you Reception staff always happy and said hello Only grip was the pool although we have been here before,we have never encountered a pool that was this cold anywhere we have ever been on holiday It was a source of laughter from everyone as they tried to enter and found out how cold it actually was .Please have a look at this because it stopped the animation team getting people to do things in the pool.. A return visit to Labranda Corralejo Village. I was impressed last year but this year was excellent. Reception staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The staff work tirelessly in the restaurant and bars but always have a smile . The food was lovely- the pasta was even better this year. Lots of fresh salads and choice of hot foods. Rooms and open areas are spotless. Travelled here on my own and can honestly say that I was made to feel very welcome from the second I arrived until I left. Thank you again for a wonderful holiday
