This was my first time visiting Moganshan, and I booked the Shangpo B&B based on Ctrip's ratings and reviews. I was really impressed by the welcome letter, which showed the owner is cultured and thoughtful, and it immediately heightened my expectations for this 'paradise on earth'... The B&B is nestled amidst mountains and bamboo forests, with a three-story, reddish-orange Tuscan-style exterior that exudes a vintage charm. It feels incredibly exotic being surrounded by the bamboo sea and mountains. The environment here is serene and peaceful, truly a 'paradise away from the hustle and bustle' as described in the welcome letter. The room was clean and elegant, offering mountain views right from the moment you open the door. Every detail exuded a subtle luxury. My favorite part was the artwork in the common areas – several Picasso-esque paintings by Dutch artists, paired with light luxury, simple European furniture, creating a striking visual contrast between modern and vintage that sparks a unique aesthetic romance. Both the Chinese and Western meals here were incredibly delicious, fresh, and exquisitely prepared. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner could all be customized to guests' requests; it truly felt like everyone was a VIP. The service at the B&B was also outstanding. Coffee and mineral water were provided free of charge and unlimited throughout the day! The housekeeper was warm, attentive, and incredibly responsive to every request. This is, without a doubt, the best-serviced B&B I've ever stayed at. I will definitely be back!

Service: The owners were really chatty and made our two-day stay very comfortable. They even lent us fishing rods, haha (though we didn't catch anything!). Environment: Excellent! Superb. I'd love to come back for another vacation. The surrounding area is also great, very close to the creek. Cleanliness: Very clean and refreshing. Facilities: The design of both the room and the lobby is fantastic. The sofa is incredibly comfortable; it was super relaxing to curl up on it and play games. Also, a shout-out to the hot pot! It was delicious 😋

Our two-day 'retreat' with my mom and grandma has come to a perfect end! A big thank you to our butler, Xiao Liu, for the thoughtful arrangements. He upgraded our rooms and every meal was delicious. The elders in my family are always so happy when they're in a natural, mountain setting. The rooms were spacious and had everything we needed – we didn't have to prepare a thing. Plus, there were charging stations for our electric car, so all we had to do was relax. We'll definitely be back!

Our stay at naked House Valley was so fantastic that we didn't hesitate to extend our trip in Moganshan by another day, choosing naked House Castle, which is part of the same group. We stayed in a 'little rammed earth round house' at naked House Valley. The entire hotel is nestled in a valley with stunning scenery, and the different restaurants offer excellent experiences, with both the Chinese and Western restaurants serving high-quality food. Before leaving Moganshan, we even made sure to experience naked House Valley's 'naked House Taste' again.

The whole family had a wonderful weekend. The beautiful boss was sincere and considerate. She started to communicate details before the trip and was trustworthy. When we met, we were moved by her warm and bright smile, which won the hearts of the children! The entire B&B room is beautifully designed, and the slide room is the favorite of the children. The pillows and mattresses are moderately soft and comfortable. There are many types of breakfast, and the boss cooks it himself, enjoying the creative and delicious food! He taught the recipe of Lixia rice, and the parent-child activities were very interesting. He also tasted great coffee and yellow tea! Experience picking in the own bamboo forest. Convenient transportation, close to the Republic of China Style Street and Yu Village Square, just a walk away. In short, this is a B&B that the boss and his family run seriously and carefully. It is worth experiencing.

Overall, my stay was quite satisfying, and it's very suitable for a family vacation with kids. The hotel even gave us a free room upgrade during check-in, which was a great experience. The room's overall environment and hygiene were also good. The hotel's biggest advantage is its strong family-friendly nature. There are plenty of facilities for children to play with, so kids generally won't get bored. It's quite hassle-free for families with children to stay here. The entire resort environment is also nice. If you plan a two-day-one-night or three-day-two-night trip, you can pretty much just stay and play at the hotel. However, I personally felt the water park wasn't great value for money. There weren't as many actual rides as I expected, especially if you're coming specifically for the water park, you might find the content a bit sparse, and the ticket price is on the expensive side. Overall, the hotel accommodation and family-friendly experience are definite positives, and the service was good, with the free room upgrade being a nice touch. It's quite suitable for family vacations with children. If the water park had more attractions and a more friendly price, the overall experience would be even better.

I'm incredibly lazy and rarely write positive reviews, but the hotel was the biggest surprise of this trip. Each room has a unique design and nickname, which is really cool. Just looking out the window from the hotel was enough to pass half the day. It's a great place for a short trip. The housekeeper even packed breakfast and sent it to my room a little after breakfast hours, which was very thoughtful. The souvenir is adorable and I'm already using it.

I brought my kids here for the summer holidays. The room wasn't quite my style, but the service attitude was truly excellent. During my stay, the door lock wouldn't open, and I contacted Xiaoyue who immediately arranged for an engineer to fix it. I also encountered a small issue at one of the activities, and the on-site staff didn't know how to handle it. Again, Xiaoyue promptly stepped in and resolved it. These 5 stars are for Xiaoyue; she seems to be the resort's service ambassador, as she's the go-to person for most problems. Whether it was arranging a shuttle or getting items sent to the room, she handled everything perfectly. Sometimes her WeChat replies were a bit slow, and I actually considered complaining, haha, but then I saw at the front desk that Xiaoyue *was* the front desk! She was also checking guests in, so no wonder her replies were slow. After chatting for a bit, I realized how hard she works, having to attend to other guests too. Thumbs up for such great service! The room hygiene was also pretty good; it's hard to avoid some outdoor elements.

This guesthouse has so much character! The owner clearly put a lot of thought and effort into the design. The massive, floor-to-ceiling bookshelf instantly brings a sense of calm, which is especially welcome on a hot summer day. It’s the perfect spot to unwind, browse books, read, or simply have a moment of quiet reflection. Oh, and the owner even gave me a complimentary room upgrade, which was incredibly comfortable.

My trip to Moganshan was spurred by a rare good weather weekend and a spontaneous decision. I blindly booked this B&B on Trip.com simply because I liked its name, 'Moshangyin'. I'm just a hopelessly spontaneous person. My suitcase packed clothes for tomorrow, my camera, and a bottle of red wine. I specifically booked a room with a bathtub, hoping to get tipsy under a sky full of stars before drifting off to sleep. However, the reality was I ended up sharing that bottle of wine over a staff meal at the B&B. I met the lovely and fun Sister Fen, known as 'Moganshan's Queen', and the incredibly approachable and wise B&B owner, Da Ling. She cooked me delicious shredded pork noodles and helped me take many great photos. I was the only guest who got to join that meal, simply because I was the only solo guest at the whole B&B – how both sad and interesting is that? In my heart, Moshangyin in Moganshan definitely deserves a five-star review.
