"Excellent location and a really cool looking building at a great price. Lovely room with a beautiful view. The staff were amazing and really friendly. I booked the room for Saturday night and stayed for the full Sunday in Doncaster to walk around and explore. Unfortunately I had a mishap, getting slightly lost. I ended up wetting myself. I went into reception to explain and ask if I could dry myself up. The ladies on reception and the lady behind the bar were so helpful, I honestly can’t say a big enough Thankyou."

"We got married at The Crown Hotel on 06/06/2026, and what can we say? From our very first meeting with Tori, she and the events team were incredibly helpful. No matter what we needed, they always responded quickly to our questions and went above and beyond to support us throughout the planning process. We then met with Tony, who made sure we felt prepared and knew exactly what to expect on the day. He listened carefully to our vision and did everything he could to ensure we had the best day possible. Sophia, along with the other waitresses and bar staff, were absolutely fantastic. From helping me with my dress to taking photos for us and our guests, they went far beyond what was expected of them and played such a special part in our day. The food was exceptional, and the chef catered brilliantly for dietary requirements, something that was communicated clearly from the very beginning. The entire day ran so smoothly and was organised perfectly. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better venue or team to celebrate such an important occasion. We already can’t wait to return for our anniversary. Thank you so much, The Crown. You will always hold a very special place in our hearts. 💕"

"I visited the Subway at Doncaster Lakeside today and had a very disappointing experience. Firstly, we were overcharged for our order. When we politely questioned this, the staff member was extremely rude and dismissive, stating there was nothing he could do and showing no interest in resolving the issue. There was no attempt to check the bill, apologise, or offer any kind of solution — it felt like he simply did not care. The level of customer service was honestly the worst I have ever experienced. His attitude and language were unprofessional, and it is difficult to understand how someone with such poor communication skills is in a customer-facing role. There were also concerning health and safety issues. A young girl, who appeared to be related to the staff member, was riding a scooter around inside the store. This is completely inappropriate and poses a risk not only to customers but also to the child herself. On top of this, the service was very slow, which only added to the frustration. Overall, this was a very poor experience. I would never return to this location and strongly believe it needs to be looked into."
