Premier Inn Durham City Centre (Walkergate)

Stayed 2 nights in a supposed twin room, which I think they upgraded us to a family room that had a bathtub :D location is 2 mins walk from the town hall with lots of resturant around & 10 mins from railway station. Very friendly staff who greets you every morning. Didn’t have breakfast included but the meal deal was pretty attractive (2 course meal + breakfast + drink for £24.99) so my friend and I decided to go for breakfast next morning (£9.90 for unlimited cooked + continental). Love the energy of the staffs :D

Stayed here for the weekend with my wife. The hotel is exactly what you'd expect from Premier Inn - great price point and comfy beds. The bar area was really nicely decorated and the staff at check-in and in the bar were helpful, friendly and polite. We took advantage of their 2 cocktails for £10 offer. Location is great, central yet quiet

Nice stay in Durham city centre. Nice clean hotel. Great breakfast nicely cooked. Kim and Robbie are a credit to the company but all staff friendly and helpful.

Just got back from a lovely stay rooms very clean and beds comfy. Staff were brilliant especially Lily who made up the single bed for us even though I said I didn't mind, nothing was a bother. Breakfast was really good and plenty choice. This is the only place I will stay in Durham.

We booked for a family party in the north. You know what you are going to get from a premier inn - but this one I would say is more. Even the decor is like some posher hotels ( had an ivy feel to it) As we booked in advance the cost for the upgrade wasn't that much more than the normal if you paid in advance and don't cancel so thought I'd go for it ! In the end we paid £7 more than my sister. Check in was great a proper northern welcome - you could do it all your self but they talked you through it and made sure knew everything we needed too. Room for was a premier plus - huge room with a king bed, coffee machine, fridge and chocolates ! Bar area was great - very trendy, and we had a few drinks before and after we went out - great selection of drinks and even my favourite wine ! Discount for parking was a bonus ! Overall great location, spotless and friendly will definitely be back.

The room, including the bathroom, was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable, and the staff was helpful with the kiosk check-in process. The location is great, with easy access to both the city centre and the train station.

A most enjoyable stay, made all the better by the friendly staff - especially Kim who would be there to greet us on our return to the hotel in the evening. It was a pleasure talking to her. Great location for bars and restaurants. Room was comfortable and spotless. I would definitely recommend this Premier Inn.

10 minutes walk to Durham castle and cathedral. Close to lots of restaurants and pubs and the riverside walk. Lovely bar and restaurant area with very reasonable prices and special offers. Clean room, comfortable bed, pretty spacious bathroom
