Checking In was quick, lovely service at the front desk. Arriving in the room & was quite well presented, very comfortable beds. The room was serviced & cleaned daily, new towels & new sheets & ALL DAILY - was a big tick for my partner & I. Only small issue was I have OCD, so when the room was cleaned daily, I had noticed a fair few stray black hairs on the bedding & floors, cleaning myself up with the towels were a few black hairs on myself asking cleaning myself dry with the towels. But other than that, the stay was lovely!

Excellent hotel! The standard room is not very large, but everything is there. The bed is comfortable, the bed linen is perfectly clean. Nice bathroom. The cleanliness is perfect! The breakfast is good - you definitely won't go hungry :) There is a tram stop nearby. Beach - 5 minutes walk.

After booking a room for 1 night initially, we made a booking for an additional night both via Expedia. The recent reviews on here had me worried as they were much more positive when I made and paid for the booking. Parking - currently free but the hotel provide no detailed instructions on booking etc so I can see why people get frustrated. Thankfully a review on here gave us some tips to make our arrival smooth. I would recommend parking in tower 1 on levels 3, 3M or 4. These floors provide direct lift access to the hotel. Look for gold lifts - these indicate your attached to the hotel. Check in - the girl checking us on (Sara I think) was nice but the hotels booking system didn’t link that there were 2 separate bookings for the same person. The hotel didn’t offer us the lower standard room for the 2 nights so that we didn’t have to move. We opted to pay an additional $60 to stay in the better room for the 2 nights. Pool - is as nice as the photos although some of the cabana cushions are filthy. It is mildly heated and there were no towels, only the ones provided in your room. After house keeping we had 2 taken and only 1 replaced which made it hard to use the pool again. Food - we used Uber eats one night and ate at Harvest Buffet in the ****** on the other. The Harvest Buffet was good. We didn’t eat breakfasts at the hotel. Room - the lounge needs to go, there is no room for it and an additional luggage rack would be more practical as storage is lacking. The room would benefit from a spare pillow and blanket like nearly every other hotel we have stayed in. There are no robes or slippers provided. Gym - the gym was ok however the cable machine was broken, there were no kettlebells or spin bike. Access is via the ****** and in to another lift. Check out - we didn’t bother returning to reception, at 8am we were woken by a drill in the adjoining room/wall to us. Very unpleasant when you have an 11am check out. If we were told about the short maintenance work we wouldn’t have minded but we expect more of a hotel that is part of the Star. Would we stay again? No, it’s not the level we have come to expect as guests of the Star in Sydney.

This hotel is in a great location and allows you to fully enjoy the atmosphere of the Gold Coast. It is also easily accessible from the Cypress Avenue tram station. There is a coin laundry so you can wash your clothes. The only amenities were two soaps and a small shampoo, so if you're staying for multiple nights, it might be a good idea to prepare a toothbrush, comb, shampoo, etc.

So, we booked 18 nights in this 3.5 star resort and the from the photos it looked very reasonable for the price. However, this has been the worst place we have ever stayed in. 1. Room was not serviced for our entire stay, even though the resort policy is longer stays are serviced every 7th day. We have been responsible for laundering the sheets and towels ans buying our own toilet paper. 2. The room wasn't clean to start with, dust on most surfaces including the ceiling and curtains 3. Room in serious state of disrepair and looks like it hasn't seen a paint brush since it was built. 4. We booked a garden view room. Not much of a garden to view and only meters from the drive and carpark. The main contents of the garden are cigarette butts from the filthy pig living in the room above 5. We tried sitting on the patio for breakfast, however this was interrupted by ash and cigarette butts raining down from above. 6. The room has no personality, prison cells we've seen in movies look more appealing. 7. Mattress on the bed is stuffed and should have been replaced years ago. I definitely will never recommend this place as it seems the owners are more interested in collecting the money than making sure what they're offering is worth it

The room and views were amazing. Property very clean, spacious and overall lovely property. The only problem was a howling wind that rattled the sliding door that kept us awake all night. We put a pillow up against the glass door, we opened the glass door slightly, but nothing stopped the noise. We advised on check out and we were told ”sorry” that's it. No offer of a $50 discount- nothing. $1000 for 2 nights accommodation with one night without sleep....

As an ex local, I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Clean, modern, easy check in and good buffet breakfast. Comfortable bed and pillows. I’d definitely recommend and stay again. Been to the bistro many times but not recently, the food was good. Easy app ordering.

I love the villa style accommodation, it suits our family’s needs. To have the kitchen facilities it helps if you just want to eat in for dinner and make breakfast daily. The kids loved the pool and the playground.

Only issue was car park. Site advised there was car parking on site however didn’t say it was $10 per night and needed to be booked extra.

Whilst it’s not the most up market place on the Gold Coast it’s the best value for couple’s, solo, or families. It’s the perfect location between Rainbow Bay and Greenmount Beach. Staff are the friendliest and most helpful I’ve met world wide. Luckily it’s no longer being knocked down for luxury apartment complex so I’ll be able to enjoy many more years there.
