"We came to Nanping to attend a friend's wedding. The groom arranged for us to stay in this hotel and told me that it was the best star hotel in Nanping. My first impression when I entered the hotel lobby was that it was not only grand but elegant, the waiters were friendly and the room was clean and hygienic. I checked in at 20:00 in the evening and found that the fruit plate provided by the hotel in the room was very fresh. After getting up in the morning, I went to the wellness center for a swim. The water quality was quite good...the water temperature was suitable. The hotel's free breakfast has many varieties, and the taste is very good...Thanks to my friend for the careful arrangement...I plan to stay in this hotel next time I take my family to Nanping."

"This hotel is great! It is newly opened in 26 years. The green plants in the corner, the warm floor lamps, the paintings on the wall, the details are all attentive, not like the same chain hotel, too relaxing. The experience of staying in is also very good. The light and shadow, fragrance and small ornaments in the room are very stylish, like living in a carefully arranged home, quiet and healing, the fatigue of the journey will be gone. The front desk butler Xiao Zeng Nini Fangfang service is very warm and meticulous. Every corner of the hotel is good for filming, and it is not deliberately stacked with net red elements. It is the kind of comfortable and textured silence wind, and it is also very safe to live. AAcedesHaving stayed in so many B&Bs, this one really stood out. The location of the homestay is excellent, and the surrounding scenery is breathtaking. You can see the beautiful scenery of mountains and water just by opening the window. The room facilities are complete, and the use of smart home makes life more convenient. Moreover, the public area of the homestay is decorated in great style. It is very pleasant to drink tea and chat with the owner here while waiting for midnight snack. Next time I come to Wuyi Mountain, this will definitely be my first choice!

Staff would proactively ask if we needed a shuttle or anything else when they saw us. The travel photos turned out great, and they even sent fresh, delicious fruit the next day. The breakfast had a wide variety, and the taste was decent. Overall, the hotel was the most satisfying part of our Wuyishan trip. It's definitely worth staying again.

There's a tea set with complimentary Wuyi rock tea, and the King Koil mattress helps you shed all your fatigue. The Song-style courtyard in the common area creates a fairy-tale mist, and the free Hanfu for photoshoots turns out amazing pictures – the butler, Xiaoxiong, is great at taking photos. The hotel facilities are comprehensive, with a beautiful restaurant, tea room, mahjong/chess room, and a gym. It's very convenient to rent a car upon arrival in Wuyishan and self-drive to explore the area. The hotel is also very close to the scenic area, conveniently located in the Sangu Resort. They offer free parking with complimentary EV charging, and the butler even helps with swiping the card to activate it – so thoughtful! This is a stay you won't forget!

It has a beautiful courtyard, and the service, cleanliness, environment, and facilities were all excellent – everything was comfortable. The owner even made tea for us downstairs, and it was very convenient to ask for tourist information. She patiently answered all our questions and even helped us book discounted tickets for the Impression Dahongpao show. Very warm and thoughtful! Highly recommend booking here!

AAnonymous UserWe received a warm welcome from the staff. Check in was straightforward and prompt. The lobby area was spacious and pleasantly furnished. The staff gave us a room upgrade and we had a spacious and well appointed room that made us feel very at home. When we arrived, it was close to lunch time and the staff checked in on us on meal requests, we took the lunch and it was a good spread of local specialties. Breakfast was freshly made and gave us a good impression of how a well prepared local breakfast would be like, also the meal was well balanced with dairy, vegetables etc. The room package also included a afternoon tea in the garden with a water feature, a tea bath and a evening Chinese tea appreciation session where we chatted with the staff. We really enjoyed our stay there.

EElizabeth Frances RoseThis place makes me wish there was an option for six stars. I study Asian art for a living, and I travelled to Jianyang to visit the home of Jian ware, classic tea bowls of the Song dynasty (960 to 1279 CE), distinguished by their black and brown glazes. Over the last few decades, firing Jian ware in the Song tradition has been revived in the area. I chose Nanping Colourful Village Homestay because it was in Jianyang, affordable, and accepted international guests. What I found was a luxury resort with all the warmth and personal attention of a homestay. I asked the front desk about an excavated Song kiln site in a nearby village, and the receptionist brought me the manager, who arranged for someone to take me the next day. My driver was Ms. Huang, an employee of the resort whose job involves buying and selling contemporary pieces. She knew everything about Jian ware! The kiln site isn’t run as a tourist site, so I was only able to view it because Ms. Huang arranged for it to be opened for me. I had told them I was vegetarian, so for lunch they took me to lunch at a vegetarian buffet. Then we visited the town’s Jian ware museum, where they have exhibits on the history of tea and Jian ware, historical pieces, and the work of contemporary Jianyang potters. To my delight, Mr. Gao, the potter-in-residence at the resort, uses a Song-style wood-fired dragon kiln, built right on the grounds! His pieces that range from beautiful but quite affordable to exquisite and appropriately expensive. They include both iridescent silvery oil spot and orange-to-black hare’s fur pieces. I am still thrilled that I was able to purchase wood-fired pieces on my limited budget. For dinner, the resort’s restaurant prepared vegetarian versions of Fujian cuisine for me. The food was all delicious, featuring classic Fujianese mountain ingredients like local bamboo and mushrooms. Then we visited Mr. Gao’s dragon kiln, and later his studio, where he experiments with different local clays and glaze recipes. The rich colours and iridescence of Jian ware are the result of the iron-rich local material fired at high temperature, and the results are as unpredictable as they are beautiful. The next day, they drove me to Mr. Chen’s family tea plantation in the mountains, where they grow famous northern Fujian teas. These fine teas were all wonderful, smooth and rich with a touch of smoke, and sometimes fruity in flavour. We strolled through mountainsides of tea bushes and visited groves of centuries-old tea trees. This is a perfect place for an immersive experience in China that is also very comfortable and convenient. I often find tourist experiences in China claustrophobic due to the press of people, but the resort was spacious and airy, and they took me to places where there was no one else but us and the occasional local going about their business. Everyone was very patient with my limited Chinese language skills. They were also happy to work with translator apps on our phones, so if you don’t speak any Chinese, you will be fine. This would be a great place to come as a family. There are gardens and rides for kids right next to the resort. You can learn how to whip Song-style tea and carve your name into the base of your own Jian ware cup. Not far away is a historical theme park with a collection of real architecture from the Ming (1368 to 1644 CE) and Qing (1636 to 1912 CE) dynasties. The employees wear period dress and there are performances and activities. Nearby there are hiking trails, historical sites, and lovely villages to visit. It’s also very close to Wuyi Mountain National Park, so it would be a perfect place to stay if the mountains are your destination. If you ask, they could arrange for you to visit famous sites or take you to breathtaking places that only locals know, whatever you want. They can also arrange transport to and from the train station or airport.

The room was very spacious, clean, and odorless, and the air conditioning was quiet, ensuring a very comfortable sleep. The breakfast was also rich and satisfying! Miss Cao at the front desk was incredibly friendly and even upgraded our room. The room was spacious, bright, and clean, making our family stay very comfortable. The hotel's surroundings are beautiful, and the breakfast spread was excellent. The bathroom facilities were complete; it would have been absolutely perfect if the shower pressure was a bit stronger. Overall, the stay was fantastic!

Brewing a pot during leisure time helps shed the fatigue of travel and allows for an immersive experience of the local tea culture – it was truly delightful. The staff provided incredibly attentive service. They proactively helped plan my travel itinerary, clearly outlining the order of attractions and transportation methods. They also accurately recommended authentic local restaurants frequented by locals, helping me avoid tourist traps and enjoy delicious, affordable meals, completely solving any dining dilemmas during my trip. The Da Hong Pao tea sold at the hotel is of superior quality. After trying it, I immediately bought some. It's perfect for personal consumption or as a gift, with guaranteed authenticity, so there's no need to bother searching for specialty stores. The room was clean, tidy, and well-equipped. The hotel's location is close to both the scenic area and the old street, making getting around very convenient. The entire experience was excellent, with thoughtful service and a rich tea culture atmosphere. This is definitely my top choice for a trip to Wuyishan, and I will stay here again next time. I highly recommend it to all tea lovers and travelers!

AAnaP92The general manager gave us a very warm welcome in excellent English and upgraded our room size to have a more comfortable stay. The restaurant manager, Wang Fang, was also exceptionally welcoming. She helped us with getting everything that we needed and took great care of us during our meals. The cook prepared excellent fresh noodles and suggested what ingredients we should try. The people that are working in this hotel were the highlight of our stay. Thank you for the great experience.
