Charles Bass House Bed & Breakfast ★★★

📍 1505 N Main St, South Boston

"Read all the previous guests' reviews. Many of the wonderful attributes of this B&B have already been described so I will endeavor not to be too repetitive. John has created an exemplary B&B within his meticulously restored and maintained Victorian home. Although John was not at home when I arrived, I was greeted by Jazz music softly playing throughout the common areas. I felt very much at home enjoying the sunroom and the refreshments offered. My two-room suite with a private bath was well appointed and meticulously clean. The bed was extremely comfortable with crisply ironed sheets. I look forward to staying there again!"

"Wow! Just wow! The accommodations were fantastic surpassed only by the owner, John’s hospitality! He was caring and conscientious, not to mention the amazing breakfasts! 😃 If you’re in South Boston or anywhere nearby, do yourself a favor and book with John. You will not be disappointed!!"

Oak Grove Bed and Breakfast ★★★
"This is a lovely place in every way! The beautiful house is part of a family farm of 400 acres. It is private and quiet and has a great walking area through a towering patch of bamboo that leads to an old family cemetery. My bedroom was in a grand library and had its own bathroom. The bed was comfortable and I slept with the windows open and woke up hearing birds singing. The breakfasts were delicious and the proprietor was thoughtful in asking about food preferences. She is a wealth of knowledge about local history and landmarks. This BnB has also been recognized for “f Green” initiatives and boasts a charging station. This is one of my favorite BnB’s I’ve been to yet."
