Finally, a word of caution: this temporary job at a state-owned enterprise in Guizi sounds easy, but they'll push their own work onto you and make you do tons of odd jobs. Refusing is futile and will only result in being targeted and harassed. Wages are only paid every few months, and the job is in the mountains, so you can't leave. I spent a few months in this ”jailbroken” situation, and finally couldn't take it anymore. I left with my night shift colleagues and returned to the area near my old rented place. The last 14 nights I spent here were quite pleasant, marking the end of my three years of study in Luoding. It holds many memories for me. I stayed until I received my graduation certificate. Although I won't be coming back, I still wish this place continued success and the hotel booming with business.
