"The room was clean and decent. However, there are only stairs, no elevator. There are many snack bars nearby and it's not far from the night market, making it great value for money. I recommend it! 👍 It's also very close to all the popular influencer-recommended spots."

"The rooms themselves are somewhat clean and fresh. Its quite even though there are 18 beds in the room, there is enough space for the luggage, the lighting is too dark though after the sunset and you will need to use your phone. Downside: the cleanness is awful, the toilet seats are broken, guys piss on the toilet seats and no one controls it of course. Even though it is mentioned in each toilet that there will be fine for that. As well as not to smoke but someone still does.. and maybe it won’t be a big deal if there is at least TOILET PAPER that could be used to wipe that **** but you can barely find it! They said they are short on that, come on.. no towel, no toilet paper are provided, no decent cleanness.. come on, this place has so much potential! The volunteer guys at the reception were quite nice though, especially Brazilian guy very polite and helpful. Thanks!"

"Good day everyone, I stayed for 15 nights. It was clean, breakfast was good, and the showers were clean. The staff is excellent, always helpful with tickets, and there's a small discount for ordering a taxi to the airport 🚕. The location is convenient. You can walk to almost all the main attractions. The Arch is just a 5-minute walk from the hotel. Snow-white linen!!! Thank you so much for everything!!! I am very satisfied!!!"

As a solo traveler, I sometimes worried about the safety of my belongings since it was my first time booking a shared room, but it was all worth it. Not only that, but the place is also accessible to both night and morning markets. I would highly recommend this place—100% guaranteed! 💯"

"Returned to this hotel. My flight was at 5:45 PM, and I arrived in Vientiane from Pakse at 8 AM. So, I booked a room again to rest, store my luggage, do laundry, and shower. Since I hadn't showered for two nights on the bus, it was a huge relief when the hotel immediately washed my clothes. By the time I checked out at 2 PM, everything was dry. I called the hotel and spoke to someone at the front desk who spoke Chinese. I was able to arrange an early check-in for the morning (my flight was the night before) and a late check-out until 2 PM, for which I paid the standard fee. When I was checking in, the other staff members didn't seem to understand and kept searching for today's booking, saying they couldn't find it, and initially refused the late check-out. Luckily, a Chinese guest I had met during my previous stay was still there and helped communicate in English. They eventually allowed me to check in but still insisted on a 12 PM check-out. However, I didn't actually use the bed, so they didn't need to clean it; I just took a shower and sat in the lobby until 2 PM. This hotel offers great value for money, and the food is delicious. I would definitely stay here again if I come back to Vientiane."

"We stayed for four nights. You can get to Hola from the airport by taxi or bus. As expected from reviews, the owner was very kind and treated us to food and drinks. (Just be careful not to drink too much! 🍺⚠️) The people are so friendly! Be careful, as toilet paper is sometimes available in the bathroom and sometimes not. The shower water pressure and temperature were fine. There is a place to hang out your laundry on the second floor! The air conditioning is turned off periodically because it gets cold. They sell bus tickets to destinations like Vang Vieng and Luang Prabang, so it's easy to get around outside of Vientiane! I took a bus to Nong Khai in Thailand from the nearby bus center and crossed the Lao-Thai Friendship Bridge for a day trip to Thailand! 🇱🇦×🇹🇭"

"Very clean hotel, cleaning is done daily. The location is good for exploring the old town and temples. Chinatown is nearby.. Only downside, for me who likes to cook, despite the functionality of the shared kitchen, I felt uncomfortable and observed when I entered it. Otherwise nice meetings with other travelers."

"Not located in the city centre but convenient enough to walk to. However, you get the space in exchange, which I prefer. The bed was comfortable and its curtain provided privacy. The staff were nice warm and courteous. Wifi worked well. Water dispenser was available. I highly recommend Venn Hostel."
