"I travelled alone in August 2026 and stayed for 3 nights at Alicia Tower Residence. It’s a great place to stay for solo travelers. Place is central to the shopping malls and other attractions and got the double bed room for P840. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It has got laundry, grocery shop and canteen within the residence.  You can get vegetarian and non veg food at Bollywood Tandoor which is 7 minutes walk away. Banilad Town Centre is just opposite for greater shopping experience. This picture was taken from top floor of the residence."

"There were a lot of insects. So many bags, ants, flys, mosquitoes and others animals. The room has everything you need, and the friendly staff prepared a small but tasty breakfast. The room is dark and extremely small, it is literally impossible to turn around, to fit on the bed at full height, you need to lie diagonally. The accomodation is definitely for one person."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The BEST hostel experience I’ve ever had! I honestly cannot recommend Yellow Umbrella Hostels in Cebu City enough. From the moment I arrived until the moment I checked out, every single part of my stay exceeded my expectations. The first thing that stood out was how spotlessly clean everything was. The rooms, bathrooms, common areas, everywhere was exceptionally well maintained. You can really tell that the staff takes great pride in keeping the hostel comfortable, organized, and welcoming. What truly makes this place special, though, is the people. Manager Glen deserves special recognition. He goes above and beyond to make every guest feel welcome, valued, and at home. His professionalism, kindness, and genuine care for guests create such a positive atmosphere that you can feel it throughout the entire hostel. And honestly, the rest of the staff were just as incredible. I would write names but truly every staff was amazing because every single person I met was outstanding. They were always smiling, approachable, eager to help, and genuinely seemed to enjoy making guests’ experiences unforgettable. That level of hospitality is rare and deserves to be celebrated. The atmosphere is warm, safe, and incredibly comforting. Whether you’re traveling solo or with friends, this hostel makes it easy to relax, meet amazing people, and truly enjoy your time in Cebu. The service was consistently exceptional, every request was handled quickly, every interaction was friendly, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. I’ve stayed in many accommodations while traveling, and Yellow Umbrella Hostels genuinely ranks among the very best. It’s not just a place to sleep, it’s a place that makes you feel at home. If you’re visiting Cebu City, do yourself a favor and stay here. You won’t regret it. Thank you to Glen and the entire team for making my trip so memorable. "Had a great stay at this capsule bed! It was clean, cozy, and surprisingly comfortable. The space felt private despite being compact, and everything I needed was provided. Perfect for solo travelers looking for a budget-friendly place to stay. Would definitely stay here again!"

"Great place for staying. The place is quiet and peaceful. It's a 10-15 minute walking distance to Ayala Center. The road is well lit so it's safe to walk to and from Ayala. There is wifi but need to ask the front desk password. The bed is firm and the room has good ventilation. The shower has hot water that's adjustable according to preference for a relaxing shower. They also have freebie toiletries that smell great."

"It was just okay for the price. After getting off the plane and checking in in the early morning, there was a reservation missing or something, so I had to wait over thirty minutes, and then I was let into the room without a room key. They said I'd get the room key the next morning because the person in charge wasn't there... Ugh."

"They need to do more cleaning in the wash room and CR area. CR has molds and water pressure is low. The other shower area is not working. The heater is not working and faucets need to be fixed. The room is clean- Bedsheet, Linen, and pillow cases smell good and clean, no stains. If you want to rest during the day, I don't think you can sleep well because of the noise from outside, not sure if those are tenants or staff from the hostel. The location is good because Sto. Niño Church is just a few steps away and there are jeepneys and taxis around that you can take. No free soap, shampoo etc. If you want cheap accommodation for a day or 2 then this is good for you. Overall, I will give it 3.5 ⭐. Ty"

"Probably the cheapest Guest house in Cebu. Free water dispenser and possibility to use hangers on terrace to dry clothes. On the heights in Lahug, Cebu city, the place is totally quiet, no cars nor motorbikes nor roosters. The young people taking care of the guest house are really nice."

"Mary Ann and her staffs are the best host. This trip happened during the typhoon. They helped and manage everyone by giving food and making everyone is safe inside their hostel."
