Μπανγκόκ Hostels

"At this hostel's 1/0 sauna, I met an incredibly handsome bearded guy who spoke Chinese (he was well-endowed and had a piercing). He was very outgoing, and we had some fun in the darkroom upstairs once, where he even taught me how to blow, haha. But I'm a bit slow to warm up and shy, so the last time I saw him at the front desk, I was too embarrassed to ask for his contact info. Such a pity (I miss him, haha). The hotel service and location are great, but the facilities and cleanliness are a little lacking. Considering the low price, overall it's okay (but if you don't want to be bothered, I'd recommend a hotel instead)."

"This was definitely an interesting experience! What can I say? Overall, for the price, the hostel is good. The staff are friendly, and there are many young, outgoing people who get to know each other and socialize, which is great. They also organize various joint activities. There's a common area on the ground floor where you can sit, work, eat, or chat with others. The reception can also make a variety of cocktails, coffee, and other drinks. Now, for the nuances. The hostel consists of two buildings. One building is for smokers (of 'herbs'), and the other is for non-smokers. However, people generally move between the two buildings. The smoking building has more modern, stylish showers. The only downside is that there are no hooks for clothes in the showers; you have to hang your clothes on the door. For me, this wasn't a big deal. There were hooks under the shampoo holder, but those are only suitable for a loofah or a shower caddy. Also, both buildings provide shampoo and shower gel, which is very convenient. The smoking hostel also has a small, cozy terrace on the 4th floor. I managed to sit there for a bit while one girl to my left was smoking a bong and a guy to my right was puffing on a joint. There are grinders for 'buds' on the first and fourth floors. If you're a smoker, you'll probably love this place and find companions. If you're assigned to this building but don't smoke, they'll move you without any problems, as they did in my situation. The non-smoking building has a cozier and more atmospheric vibe. On the fourth floor, there's gym equipment, so you can work out a bit, which is great. On the downside, there's very little space in the toilets. You sit down, and your legs practically touch the door. And this is coming from someone who is 165 cm tall; I can't imagine what it's like for guys who are 2 meters tall. Also, the air conditioning is turned off from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Fans continue to operate on the ground floor. The bedding is gray instead of the usual white. And blankets are given out at reception during check-in, but they're more like throws than proper duvets. I prefer down duvets, but this throw was sufficient. But let's not forget the price of the hostel, so I think it's fair. The choice is yours. Have a good stay. If you want a smoking-friendly and open experience, this is the place for you. If you want to save money, make friends, and don't mind the blanket situation or the size of the bathroom, then this is also the place for you. If you like parties, the staff organize those! I should also clarify that my experience is based on the 8-person dorm rooms; I don't know what it's like in the private 1-2 person rooms. In any case, it was an interesting experience!"

"For the price, the place was excellently located near Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai. I was able to use public transportation to and from the airport. It was also very close to the train station (one block away), and near shops, restaurants, markets, etc. The staff member who assisted me was always very kind. I definitely recommend it."

"The location of the hostel was brilliant. A short walk from Khaosan Road and right next door to a 7/11 with everything you need. Walking distance if you’re able to walk to Wat Arun, China Town, Flower Market etc. Nothing was too much of an ask for the staff. Friendly, helpful and polite. I had dinner on the rooftop which had amazing night time views with the the temples lit up. Noodle dish I had was lovely. breakfast was okay, I had the banana pancakes twice and was happy both times. Free coffee and water available 24/7 too. Clean, tidy, quiet, comfortable bed…. Would recommend"

"I stayed at Cubic Bed Pratunam and had a very pleasant experience overall. This capsule-style hotel offers surprisingly complete facilities for its concept. Everything was clean and well-maintained, and the common areas were comfortable. The staff were especially friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile, which really made the stay more enjoyable. The only thing that could be improved is the mattress quality — it felt a bit too firm for my personal preference. A softer mattress would make the sleeping experience much better. Aside from that, it’s a great place to stay: clean, well-equipped, and welcoming. I would definitely recommend it, especially for travelers looking for a modern cabin-style hotel in Pratunam."

"It's a clean, cozy hostel. The deciding factor for me was that it's a women's hostel. The room has eight beds, which is quite intimate and comfortable. The receptionist was very welcoming and, when I asked if I could heat up my food, she was happy to help, even though there's no communal kitchen on site. The location is very convenient, a 10-15-minute walk from the airport, but you'll have to walk down the street. Unfortunately, there is no photo of the number, but the street is quite safe and quiet."

"I stayed at Youyen Hostel DMK recently. The room and bathroom were reasonably clean, which was good, and they also provided shampoo and shower gel. However, there were a few things that could definitely be improved. When I arrived in the afternoon, I had to wait around 30 minutes because nobody was at the reception. There were also other guests waiting at the same time. During my stay, I noticed the reception desk was often empty, so getting help usually meant waiting for someone to come back. The breakfast was quite basic, more like a light snack than a proper breakfast. Another issue was the air conditioning, which does not run all the time and only works during certain hours. The shower in my bathroom was also broken. Overall, the hostel is decent for a short stay near DMK airport, especially if you just need a budget-friendly place, but the service and facilities could be managed better."

"The hotel is in a perfect location, just across the road from Don Mueang Airport, which makes it very convenient. The place is clean, not crowded, and everything is easy and comfortable. The only small point is that the staff were not very friendly, but overall the stay was good."

"I stayed here for a week. I kept extending my stay because it was so comfortable. The rooms are above a lovely cafe. You can access the building and your room with an electronic device. The shared bathroom was always clean and available. The washing machine and dryer are so convenient. There are plenty of food options within 1-3 blocks. You can walk through a very local market between the BTS station and the hostel. It's less than 10 minutes walk away. The neighborhood is great if you've visited Bangkok before yet you're still 20-30 minutes BTS train ride to all the touristy action."
