"The location is very convenient, with Starbucks, convenience stores, and fast-food restaurants all nearby. However, communication with the receptionist was quite difficult. I stayed for four days, and when I called to request a shower gel refill and a bed sheet change, they only replaced the towels each time. The bed sheets were quite old and had several stains. The air conditioning worked well, but the remote control didn’t seem to adjust the temperature properly. The shower had hot and cold water, but the temperature was inconsistent and difficult to balance. The room lighting was also too dim. The Wi-Fi was generally fast, but it wasn’t very reliable, as there were times when the connection became unstable. Overall, I still had a good experience, and I think the hotel offers good value for the money."

"The hotel boasts an elegant and grand ambiance. The staff at reception were professional and warm. While the facilities show their age a bit, it's still well worth a stay. However, I wouldn't recommend the rooms in the Qilin Wing (rear building) as mine was right by the road with cars parked outside the window."

"I dont know if it’s mold or just dirt (black color) on ceiling and curtains. The don’t give water everyday. There’s only 1 elevator going to basement and it takes time so get ready to use the stairs if your bedroom assigned is in basement. The breakfast is simple. Hotpot but no meat available, only veggies and hotpot balls. It’s good tho. They have a lot of The location is very near everything."

"The hotel location is not too bad. It’s a 5 to 9 minute walk from the metro station in a straight line. If you walk in the opposite direction, it’s the way to the Ningxia night market. Very convenient location if you’re commuting by metro for most of your trip. The room and hallway are bright and clean. No strong, or foul, strange odours at all. Each floor has a feature entrance to the hallway. For example, the 8th floor is Maji Meow and is quite cute. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful. They are staffed by people who speak Cantonese, Mandarin, and English. The chamber maid was very friendly and helpful and accommodating to our needs since we asked for extra covers. The only negative is the room is cold and there is no way to adjust the temperature correctly. We turned the temperature up to 30 degrees Celsius, but the actual temperature on the panel ended up as 18 degrees Celsius no matter what we tried. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It didn’t help that one of the air conditioning vents are directly over the bed. The independent twin beds in the room are more suited for children as some others have said since they tend to be on the soft side and really fall in when you sit on them. However, if you don’t mind a soft bed, they’re fine for adults. We also loved there’s a whole downstairs room and area complete with a hot and cold drink machine like coffee, milk tea, soy milk and milk. There’s also a water machine with hot and cold water. They also have tea leaf eggs which are delicious, assorted snacks, and flavoured jelly. It’s well used by other guests there. We saw a variety of travellers from different places. We saw a lot of Japanese travellers there though. They also have a gaming station as well as a computer you can access the internet. Both wireless and Lightning charging stations are also available. You can spend all day in there if you like. However, they do have operating hours there (5 am to 2 am the time we stayed there). In the corner they also have a massage chair. It’s all an unexpected bonus! :-) You may also order breakfast (paid separately on your own) with the front desk and they’ll have breakfast cooked and ready for you since it looks like they have a full kitchen downstairs. All in all, we very much enjoyed our stay at the Yomi Hotel. Will definitely be one of our top choices when we visit Taipei again."

"Had a great stay at Midtown Richardson Hotel in Ximen from 29 August to 2 September 2026. The location is definitely the biggest highlight. The hotel is right in the heart of Ximending, making it extremely convenient to explore the shopping streets, restaurants, cafés and night market. Ximen MRT Station is also within easy walking distance, which made getting around Taipei very convenient. The room was comfortable and clean, and the overall stay was pleasant. The staff were friendly and helpful whenever we needed assistance. I also liked how convenient the hotel was after a long day of sightseeing — plenty of food and shopping options are just steps away. Overall, a great choice if you want to stay in the Ximending area, especially for first-time visitors to Taipei. Would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Taiwan! 🇹🇼"

"This was a pleasant stay. We were traveling with a child, and I had specifically requested a high floor in my Ctrip booking notes. To my surprise, the hotel really paid attention to it! The hotel has 30 floors in total, and they put us on the 29th floor, which was absolutely perfect with fantastic views. **Cleanliness:** The room had a separate wet and dry area, and the toilet was smart and very clean. **Transportation:** The hotel is located right above Wanhua Railway Station. You just turn a corner from the ticketing hall of Wanhua Station and you're there. It's also only a 5-minute walk to Longshan Temple MRT Station. **Local Food:** Around Longshan Temple MRT Station, there's an Oyster Vermicelli shop (diagonally opposite the 50 Lan milk tea shop) that you absolutely *must* try. The flavor is great and it's generously portioned. I dare say you won't find a better oyster vermicelli in all of Taiwan. Remember, next to the oyster vermicelli shop, there's a place selling grilled sausages – grab one of those too. Vermicelli + grilled sausage = a perfect combination! There's also a night market in Longshan Temple in the evenings."

"Some parts of this hotel needs serious upgrading and should not be used until repairs are done. I am disappointed that when I asked for a room with a window, i was thrown at the backmost part of the hotel where ventilation is so bad, molds are growing on the ceiling. The room was harshly lit, no soft light nor night light for sleeping. The lobby was nice, but no power sockets to plug your devices so you can work. Staff are helpful and friendly. Location is perfect. I wonder if this is the kind of room deal they give to those who use Trip.com."

"The room exceeded my expectations – it was really new and clean. For Taipei, this is incredible value for money. It's right next to Banqiao Station, making it super convenient for getting around, and there are tons of great food options nearby. Highly recommend it!"

"Hotel is located at the heart of ximending just beside carrefour hence it’s convenient. Staff though are not the most accommodating. You hae to wait exactly at 3pm to check in. There were old guests waiting and standing by lobby coz there were not enough chairs available. Wifi signal can sometimes be slow. Breakfast place is a bit limited too so if there’s a lot of guests, you have to wait for a bit to be seated. Otherwise, place is clean and well located."

"The biggest highlight is the great common area on the top floor, though the snacks and drinks provided are pretty standard (no offense intended, I completely understand given the cost). Downstairs, there's a Family Mart convenience store where you can find pretty much anything you need. Just be aware that you'll need to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste. It's a bit far from the airport and there aren't many food options right nearby, but you won't go hungry – you just have to walk a bit to Jinzhou Street where there are plenty of choices."
