The room is spacious and bright, tidy and hygienic, with a wide view. The bathroom has shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and towels. There is no toothbrush, toothpaste and slippers. The hotel has a paid parking lot, and breakfast is available for an additional fee.

I want to take a moment to applied this wonderful and almost hidden property here in Irvine California. My family and I have stayed at Hotel Irvine for the past five years during Fourth of July to keep our pets calm and relax. That is a lovely property (see my T.A. Review for our experience there as well...) and we were sad when we heard they were closed due to the health crisis that we hope will pass. When we arrived, we were greeted with authentic and happy staff members to check us in. This is always a great sign of a soon to be successful visit. We took care of the paperwork which took about one We arrived in the evening and we were greeted with big smiles from a very welcoming staff. Very wonderful first impression and it only took one or two minutes at the most to complete the paperwork and we were invited to our room. The room is clean and has the amenities for cooking with a stove, microwave, refrigerator, as well as dishes that made it seem like home right away. The bathroom was extremely clean and even we were treated with designer soap and shampoo that we never had it any other properties which might not seem like much, but it really is a nice touch to show that this organization invests in their guest’s stay. It is a unique time to travel in the world but my family and I just simply don’t really wear masks or anything like that because we are healthy and we stay out of public places for the most part. No one at the staff was pushing us to live or act a certain way, but they all had masks on and we’re very pleasant about what we have to do in this time. Just to clarify, we are not against wearing masks… We were just excited to leave our home and the fireworks behind and just walked in the building without them on because there were no signs to say otherwise. We were not met with any attitude to do anything different or so. We were just greeted with a warm welcome and the staff was pleasant at all hours of the day and night when we needed anything. There is an on-site laundry facility as well as generous snacks that one can pay for in a room that is adjacent to the wonderful gym that is accessible 24 hours a day and the staff will allow one or two members in the gym at a time. When a person finishes working out or training, they will close the gym until they clean it and make it welcoming for the next guest. This is a great touch and I used this wonderful gym that was more than accommodating. The reason why I am leaving this review is I’m still on the property and every time we go to walk our dogs outside, we meet a new staff member or just simply walked by someone we haven’t seen, and they are always smiling and checking on us and making us feel welcome. Any property can have the finest amenities and greatest location, all of these things are great… But this property has great people that take care of their guests and this is the best experience my family and I have invested in in our 10 years in California. We stayed at Staybridge Suites in Irvine for 3 weeks when we moved into the area and it was everything we hoped for and more. The spacious rooms, full in-room kitchen, laundry room, pool, and other amenities all made our extended stay comfortable and pleasant. But the best part of our stay was the amazing staff that went above and beyond to solve any issue and make our stay even better. Jorge, Fara, Sandra, and all the other staff members - thank you for your hospitality and professionalism.

My wife and I often stay at Marriot properties throughout the United States. We are retired and do a lot of travel in the US and abroad. The customer service at each Marriott Hotel location has been very good, however at the Marriott Bayview, Newport Beach the service we received upon arrival and all throughout our one-week stay were exceptional. Let me explain. When we arrived at the Hotel, my wife and I was greeted by Josiah Escamilla, the Manager. To say he was very professional, very polite, and very accommodating is an understatement. Josiah was excellent in the attention he gave us, his professional demeanor, and most of all the unbelievable hospitality that Josiah showed us was just…incredible. Never before have we ever been treated with such hospitality in such a professional and courteous manner. Josiah made our stay just an absolute delight. Josiah made certain that whenever we called for room service or for extra towels, blankets, etc., we got what we needed in record time. Josiah was very knowledgeable about events and activities in the hotel and the various amenities the hotel had to offer e.g., restaurant, in-room dining service, gym, outside walking trail, etc. He and his staff made our stay very enjoyable. When we left the hotel, my wife thought that she had lost her purse, we called Josiah to inform him of the loss and within just 15 minutes Josiah called us back to let us know that he had gone back to our room and found my wife’s purse. He then secured the purse in the Hotel safe and insisted that he be the one to give it to my wife when she returned the following day to pick it up. Josiah also was able to correct an error in our Lifetime Gold Elite membership points, which upon our checkout had not been added to our account. He called us to inform us that he made the correction and as a result, the points we earned during our stay, were added to our existing points balance. He and his staff must be acknowledged for the tremendous work they put in to make our visit so comfortable and so enjoyable. We really appreciate the unbelievably high level of service we received throughout our stay. This kind of exceptional service we enjoyed, thanks to Josiah and the rest of his staff, Christine, Maryam, Mariana, Stephanie, Anthony, Tommy, and Josef is why we will continue to stay at Marriott Hotels and particularly the Bayview Marriott, Newport Beach. A good experience. Family of 3 with 2 queen beds is fine. The bed was comfortable and the location and service were OK. Bring your own slippers and toothbrushes like online reviews. Stopped at $ 35 a night, and arrived at the supermarket parking lot not far. If you don't need to clean the room, you can get 5 knives per night.

I have nerve damage to both feet which makes it very hard to get around. I checked in on Nov. 4th, 2019 after a very long day of flights. Kayln welcomed me and was so very nice and helpful getting me a room on the 1st floor. Then, I was limping to an ice machine with Frank Vasquez saw me. He offered to go get the ice for me. On Tue, I called the front desk to ask where the nearest ice machine is. Kayln answered and said that Frank probably would help me. A few minutes later, Frank brought me ice again. The service here is OUTSTANDING everytime I visit. Also, Alex is the best bartender I've encountered in my travels.

Staying in Orange County for a week and booked the Residence Inn Tustin because of relatively good experience with other residence inn before. The building looks very similar to the other residence inn and the lobby looks nicely done, clean and welcoming. The staff were friendly and helpful and managed to upgrade us into a two-bedroom unit due to my platinum status. However, the rest of the facility does need some refresh. The elevator is ok but since this is a pet-friendly hotel, throughout the week the elevator does get quite dirty and it does take a bit time for the staff to clean it up. The close buttons for one of the elevators don’t work as well so it also takes time for the doors to close. There are multiple issues with the room that we stayed in. The bedroom doors don’t close properly, and the sofa in the living feels as if it’s ready to fall apart. Cleanliness is also difficult to praise as we noticed stains on beds, ants in the shower, and leftover in the fridge. From a facility perspective I don’t expect great quality from the residence inn brand but this particular one seems to be on the worse end of the spectrum. However, the cleaning staff really needs to pay attention and clean the units well. We loved visiting the area and think we will be back again but we will unlikely return to this property simply because cleanliness is probably one of the worse ones that I’ve seen and experienced.

This was the second time we stayed here. Though we checked in late, the front desk staff was still very accommodating and friendly, the rooms were clean and smelled really fresh when we got inside. The TV remote was even wrapped for sanitation. We checked out after 3 days of stay, half way towards LA we find out that my sister left her phone at the room. We immediately called the hotel and spoke with their front desk. They safe kept my sisters phone and when we came back they hand it to us. We really appreciate there honesty. Kudos to all their staff! I highly recommend this hotel when in Lake forest or nearby areas. Enrique

Checked in and asked for a late check out the following day due to late afternoon wedding and we were told they don't do late check outs ever. Entered room and found ants in bathroom along shower and on counter top also hole in wall under sink. Advised person at front desk and he said he would make a note and have it taken care of the following day because he was the only one there. I asked for a different room and he said they were booked. He looked in the room behind the front desk for ant spray so I use it but said there was none. I then told him something needed to be done and to call his manager to get it resolved. Went back to my room and explained this to my wife. At this point we were quite upset. We then decided to leave and get food and when we returned I again asked what was going to be done and was told nothing until the following day. We went back unto our room #211 and tried to relax. After about an hour we decided to go out for drinks and on the way out told the clerk we were very upset and something needed to be done to resolve this but we were leaving for a while and made it clear to stay out of our room until we returned and again he said he couldn't leave the front desk anyway because he was alone. We left and made it to the first traffic light and decided to turn around and go back get a refund and find a different place to stay. We were gone about 5-8 minutes in all. My wife stayed outside while I went in. When I went inside to the front desk nobody was there so I called out for help thinking he was in the room behind the desk but there was no answer. I then went to our second floor room and found the clerk at the door getting ready to enter. He was quite shocked and said he wasn't going to go in then I called him a liar and pointed out the fact he didn't even have any ant spray. He then said I told him he could go in. At this point I was enraged because we made it clear to stay out until we returned. I had even put a sugar packet on the door so I would know if it was opened. He then started walk away very fast and tell me to pack and leave without a refund. When I started to follow him he turned and stopped and we bumped into each other, then he asked I was going to hit him. I assured him I wouldn't . This was all recorded by their cameras. He then called the police and told them I assaulted him and to come evict us and locked himself in the front desk room. My wife in the lobby when the police arrived and he came out. He then changed his story and said it was a misunderstanding. We explained what happened to the police and ended up staying the night. When we returned home I was able to get a hold of the general manager and he refused to any thing about the situation and said the employee was only trying to help us. More lies.

Great service from walking in the front door to checkout. Stayed 10 nights and Javier and Alexander on the front desk were brilliant - nothing was too much bother for the dream team ! Room was quiet and comfortable and the hotel is in a good location for shops, restaurants and bars. I'll definitely use again if I'm ever back in Orange County.
