The room was quite spacious. There were three of us, and they provided an extra bed. When I booked on Trip.com, I saw that the beds were listed as 1.3 meters, but they all turned out to be quite large – the double beds were mostly 1.8 meters, and the single beds were about 1 meter. This hotel is located on a hill, and we stayed on the second floor, which didn't have an elevator, but the staff helped with our luggage. Breakfast is available at the hotel. The staff confirmed our breakfast time the night before, and we could choose between local Sri Lankan breakfast and English breakfast. One of the local dishes was extremely spicy; I took one bite and started coughing non-stop. A young man saw this and immediately brought me a glass of water – the service was absolutely fantastic. The milk tea was delicious, sweet with a slight bitterness, a bit like Hong Kong's Yuanyang. Very good!

Stunning hotel with a perfect view of the lake and Tooth Relic Temple. The staff are very welcoming and check-in experience was smooth. The room was very spacious and clean with good room service food. Recommend to sit by the infinity pool to try local arrack drink and freshly baked pizza while enjoying the good view.

This was a really great hotel – excellent location and service. The views of Kandy Lake and the Temple of the Tooth Relic from our room were amazing! The restaurant served delicious food, and breakfast had generous portions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The service was excellent; they were very attentive and quickly noticed our requests. Thank you for being so kind and friendly to my daughter.

Convenient location. Pleasant interior. Hot water, private balcony with plants, kettle, refrigerator, air conditioning. Breakfast included, along with a welcome drink. Early in the morning, we saw monkeys running across the balcony roof.

Thank you for the upgrade to the room with a balcony, and I absolutely love the huge bathroom. Thank you for the friendly service staff who answered my every query. Waking up to the quiet of Kandy Lake before the rest of the city wakes was a really peaceful feeling and I really enjoyed just standing on tje balcony soaking in the sights. Loving the wide breakfast spread too, ranging from local fare to continental selection. I was spoilt for choice and my tummy really loved the chicken curry & daal. Thank you.

Hotel Suisse carries a colonial charm that takes you back in time. The food is good, offering a fair range of choices. However, the dining experience was slightly marred by some worn napkins. The air conditioning in our room was a bit loud, but it didn't keep us from having a comfortable stay. I might look into other hotels in the area next time to experience something different.

The hotel overlooks Kandy, and every room has a balcony with a view. The restaurant boasts excellent views and reasonable prices. If you'd like to have dinner, you don't need to book a room with dinner included. It's recommended to order directly from the restaurant, as the included dinner is a four-course Western meal, which is too much to finish. Ordering directly offers more choices and prevents you from overeating.

Everything is good, the hosts are attentive and responsive, the location is good, the kinds are chic, breakfast is not bad, the room is also in good condition, for a couple of days the most, I recommend 👍

The best location close to the temple and to the show. The staff was very nice and help us with everything. The room is beautiful that let us feel the vibe of Sri Lanka. Recommend.

hotel has a history that makes staying here worth the price and experience, walking into the lobby, one is transported back in time to a space of 1800s as they have preserved the hotel in it's origin condition. the high ceilings with hanging lights, wide red carpeted stairs and antique birdcage elevators adds bring out the beauty and charm of old. we booked a city view room and was upgraded to a pool view room, where it's less quite and the rooms more exquisite. hotel breakfast restaurant overlooks Kandy lake, giving the morning meal another layer of admiration as we dine in wood furnitured environment. location is superb, Kandy Lake and Buddha Tooth Temple just across the street and the Big Buddha Temple less than 25mins stroll away. lots of good food places around for one to explore and eat. rooms are old but charming that way, the wooden floors creak and is uneven but that's the fun of staying in a hotel with almost 200years of history. staff are charming and friendly, always ready to help. a prestigious hotel in Kandy, highly recommended for anyone who visits this beautiful city on a mountain top.
