The hotel is very well situated by the bank of River Chobe. Loved the setup! Impressed by the seamless check-in by Malebogo upon arrival. We had a suite and an inter-leading double room facing the lake. The rooms were spacious and clean. Wifi in rooms worked perfectly. Appreciated the daily turndown service. Restaurant and kitchen: Restaurant is also well located with a nice view on the river. The kitchen tries to cater a variety of food products. However, there were few loopholes which they need to improve especially on the quality of food. The viennoiseries we were served for breakfast were not well baked, the rice on dinner buffet was not well cooked, some vegetables were still raw, roasted chicken and beef were kept next to each other on the same board and the same knife was being used for both. This was actually unacceptable! Otherwise all other food products were nice. Enjoyed the full body deep tissue massage, relaxation massage, pedicure and foot massage. The sunset boat cruise and game drive were amazing. We discovered Kasane’s rich and wild flora and fauna! Moreover, the guided tour to Victoria Falls was undeniably the cherry on top of the cake! It was the most appreciated tour to wrap up our holiday! All staff were friendly, professional and helpful. The hotel needs to improve on the quality of food and food service. We definitely recommend this hotel to others. Thank you!

Everything exceptional. Excellent base for visiting Chobe and all associated activities. We only expected to stay to sleep, we ended up doing everything at the Lodge, from dinners to activities! They have safari jeeps, trucks and boats! Therefore, they offer a personalized, quality experience at very competitive prices when compared to agencies. The food is also exceptional, not only at the hotel, but also served at the activities. The genuine friendliness of all the staff certainly also extends to the owners, who do everything they can to make you feel good. Our stay here was very touch and go. Some staff were amazing and polite and others so very rude. One lady rolled her eyes at us when we asked to have lunch and someone on reception told us they would send maintenance to look at our broken toilet the following day (it needed seeing to immediately) The pool was filthy (I'm assuming it's because we went in off season) and a huge clump of hair had been left in the shower drain so that it took ages to drain properly during and after a shower. And most worryingly of all, the water from the taps runs a light brown. The only good things i can say about this place is that its got a great location and is very close to the national park so is convenient. The food was surprising good and our safari guide- Peace was wonderful. He was incredibly knowledgeable, kind and just amazing. We felt truly blessed to have got to spend time with him. He knew so much about the animals and plants and was delighted to share it. You could honestly tell he took pleasure and pride in his job and the beauty around the park. This place is okay for a one night stop off but I wouldn't recommend for a longer stay.

This lodge was amazing! My room was gorgeous, with beautiful modern touches. The sunsets on the river were stunning, and the wildlife around the lodge were so fun to see (monkeys, warthogs, birds, etc). The food was so good, and most of all, the staff were just amazing. So kind, so helpful, so friendly! I truly loved my stay there, and went on safaris every morning and late afternoon, and that was always well organized too. In the early morning there was hot coffee, tea and muffins to have and take on the safari, which was such a nice touch! I saw so much wonderful wildlife in Chobe National Park each time, and I can honestly say that I hated to leave!

After a night camping at Chobe National Park, what we wished are clean room, hot shower and good food. Travelodge can satisfy all these needs! The raised platform at the back is very nice to sit down and enjoy. Also, we would like to say a great THANK YOU to Peter!! We urgently need some medication in late night. He reached out to a pharmacist nearby, successfully asked them to keep the medication for us, and helped us called taxi to send us to and from the pharmacy early in the next morning. Without him, we possibly need to shorten our trip, and thankfully, he went extra miles 🙇🏿‍♀️ really impressive customer service.

This lodge was amazing! My room was gorgeous, with beautiful modern touches. The sunsets on the river were stunning, and the wildlife around the lodge were so fun to see (monkeys, warthogs, birds, etc). The food was so good, and most of all, the staff were just amazing. So kind, so helpful, so friendly! I truly loved my stay there, and went on safaris every morning and late afternoon, and that was always well organized too. In the early morning there was hot coffee, tea and muffins to have and take on the safari, which was such a nice touch! I saw so much wonderful wildlife in Chobe National Park each time, and I can honestly say that I hated to leave!

The hotel is very well situated by the bank of River Chobe. Loved the setup! Impressed by the seamless check-in by Malebogo upon arrival. We had a suite and an inter-leading double room facing the lake. The rooms were spacious and clean. Wifi in rooms worked perfectly. Appreciated the daily turndown service. Restaurant and kitchen: Restaurant is also well located with a nice view on the river. The kitchen tries to cater a variety of food products. However, there were few loopholes which they need to improve especially on the quality of food. The viennoiseries we were served for breakfast were not well baked, the rice on dinner buffet was not well cooked, some vegetables were still raw, roasted chicken and beef were kept next to each other on the same board and the same knife was being used for both. This was actually unacceptable! Otherwise all other food products were nice. Enjoyed the full body deep tissue massage, relaxation massage, pedicure and foot massage. The sunset boat cruise and game drive were amazing. We discovered Kasane’s rich and wild flora and fauna! Moreover, the guided tour to Victoria Falls was undeniably the cherry on top of the cake! It was the most appreciated tour to wrap up our holiday! All staff were friendly, professional and helpful. The hotel needs to improve on the quality of food and food service. We definitely recommend this hotel to others. Thank you!

Our stay here was very touch and go. Some staff were amazing and polite and others so very rude. One lady rolled her eyes at us when we asked to have lunch and someone on reception told us they would send maintenance to look at our broken toilet the following day (it needed seeing to immediately) The pool was filthy (I'm assuming it's because we went in off season) and a huge clump of hair had been left in the shower drain so that it took ages to drain properly during and after a shower. And most worryingly of all, the water from the taps runs a light brown. The only good things i can say about this place is that its got a great location and is very close to the national park so is convenient. The food was surprising good and our safari guide- Peace was wonderful. He was incredibly knowledgeable, kind and just amazing. We felt truly blessed to have got to spend time with him. He knew so much about the animals and plants and was delighted to share it. You could honestly tell he took pleasure and pride in his job and the beauty around the park. This place is okay for a one night stop off but I wouldn't recommend for a longer stay.

Everything exceptional. Excellent base for visiting Chobe and all associated activities. We only expected to stay to sleep, we ended up doing everything at the Lodge, from dinners to activities! They have safari jeeps, trucks and boats! Therefore, they offer a personalized, quality experience at very competitive prices when compared to agencies. The food is also exceptional, not only at the hotel, but also served at the activities. The genuine friendliness of all the staff certainly also extends to the owners, who do everything they can to make you feel good. If you're thinking of visiting Chobe Park, don't hesitate: book at River View Lodge - all you have to do is enjoy your vacation, without any other worries!
