The photo that promotes this hotel on trip.com features a lake and raft houses on the lake. This is not the reality for this hotel, although it does provide tours that visit this lake, and so initial expectations were not met. However if you want my review of the actual hotel, here goes. The family run hotel provides a cool place to stay for physically fit guests and people who do not suffer too badly with vertigo. All the rooms are tree houses, reached by narrow walkways through the subforest at different levels. The rooms vary in size and height to suit everyone, from 4m to 15m up in the trees. Central to the complex is a nice outdoor pool. I loved it, but remember in humid tropical locations infrastructure does not last long, so don't get upset if a table collapsed or a handrail comes adrift, there is a guy who fixes everything. Food available all day, home cooked and reasonably priced. The hotel.is only 2km from the park gates so location, location, location. But definitely no lake!

The best place we've stayed in Thailand! The reasons: • Incredible setting, surrounded by the jungle, limestone cliffs and a turquoise river that runs through the accomodation. • Outstanding staff! ❤️ The staff was just next level here, attentive, kind, willing to help or just have a chat. We felt like part of the group here, like actual guests not just tourists. • Khao Sok activities: Within the accomodation they can find activities for you to do. • Food! The local food was delicious at their restaurant. • The treehouses are adorable, clean and comfortable and sleeping with the jungle sounds at night was definitely a highlight! Thank you everyone at Art's for making our stay so special, we will definitely come back :)

Mixed impressions. On the one hand there are a lot of things to do - especially for kids (Minigolf, two playsides, pool) on the other hand it is a strange Areal with lots of construction works and the name “rainforest” is a joke. There is literally no shadow on the whole area. Around there is rainforest (and lots of monkeys :) but on the hotel area there is only heat. And in our pool view room it was very loud - walls are like paper and the pool is used till late night. May be much better in a bungalow. And to be fair: there is music which kind of makes the windows shake, but it’s from the bars in town. You’ll have it in a lot of hotels that are central. But they try their best to be friendly and to support you. We had to move out after one night because of the loudness but came back for the playground (one is with a roof above). Last negative: breakfast is awful. Only pancakes eatable.

We have just completed a wonderful stay here. The setting, overlooking the Khao Sok rain forest and overlooking the river, is simply magical. The rooms are pretty small, but lovely, clean and air conditioned. The restaurant has a relatively limited range, but the food is delicious and great value - helpful because unless you have your own transport you are relatively cut off. But for 3 days, it was a simple, tranquil, idyllic base for our Khao Sok excursions. Most of all, the staff were a delight - so friendly, helpful and welcoming. It's a pretty intimate stay, where you are with the staff a lot through all your meals, but that suited us, and we were sorry to leave, and very grateful for the warmth and hospitality that we received during our stay.

Ning is an absolute superstar, she organised a fantastic trip for us in the National Park with an overnight stay in a water bungalow - although basic it was very comfortable with a spectacular location and delicious food. We saw elephants, flying fox bats & even otters. She then organised a lovely room for us at the Royal Bamboo Lodge which was so comfortable with beautiful exotice flowers, a great pool and we even got to meet some of the local monkeys. I left my shorts drying at the bungalow and Ning posted them to Bangkok for me and they arrived the following day! Cannot recommend this place enough if you're visiting Khao Sok & looking for a very memorable trip to the National Park. Thanks Ning 🙏

On the hotel street of Khao Sok National Park is this lovely hotel. The room is really functional. At that price it really is a gem. The staff is really very friendly. They will not hesitate to offer you excursions to visit the national park. It really is a golden address to visit the area.

Our family had a wonderful stay at Our Jungle House, we travelled with 2 kids (6 & 8) and they loved it too. Whilst there we did canoeing, a half day trek, caves and raft, a visit to the elephant sanctuary, a day on the lake and a cooking course. All the trips were brilliantly organised and we loved them all. This was our highlight of all the places visited in Thailand. The Jungle House itself really immerses you into the jungle, we had monkeys on our roof, geckos everywhere and all the sounds of the jungle all night. The restaurant and bar are really reasonable and perfect to relax in all evening after busy days. I would recommend booking trips to fill your days as there isn't too much else to do on site.

WOW! What can we say about the Riverside Cottages? Within 10 minutes of our arrival we’d already seen a Mangrove Cat Snake gracing us with its acrobatics from the restaurant/reception area balcony. We were in F11 lodge which was perfectly located for all the amenities. Reading other people’s reviews we expected excessive jungle noise in the evening, but we didn’t find this to be the case. Yes, you can hear crickets and chicadas as well as birds but nothing too bad. We also booked on to the overnight lake tour which was INCREDIBLE! A real must and the highlight for us taking a kayak out to a nearby bay and peacefully watching the gibbons and macacs give us our very own insight in to their play and survival in the jungle. Staff amazingly friendly and helpful, everything you need. Remember to take cash as no cards accepted. Frequent free shuttle in to nearby Khao Sok town where you can get a drink or access the National Park.

Need to hire a driver or rent a car to get here...not much around the place so if you go there, you might just stay at the hotel or go on a little adventure around the surrounding area, but don't expect many food options around the area. Would stay here again.

Very liked. I can't judge by location, on the car kilometer there, kilometer here does not play a big role. Parking is. Staff responsive. Original design of houses. Clean, comfortable, thoughtful. Water in abundance. Very important is the shower. In the previous place, it didn't even cause the desire to come in, but here it was clean. There was one minus - the bats, then how they were eating for quite a long time at sunset. But as dark, it became quiet. And, well, not very successful location of the air conditioner. I had to sleep with open doors, but from the livelihood from the street on the doors of the special net. Dinner and breakfast at the restaurant near the hotel. Not a special gurman, I prefer home food. There was no special delight in the food, but everything was edible and relatively delicious. I will conclude: even though, like a small minus, if we are still in these regions we will still stay in this hotel.

We’ve had a wonderful 4 days staying in this beautiful rainforest. The staff are brilliant and have organised all our trips for us which are just brilliant and a lovely experience, from cycling and visiting local villages in the jungle and seeing how they live and work, seeing how rubber is made coffee beans all the herbs and spices grown in the gardens to produce all the amazing food. The elephant sanctuary - a small local place that has orphaned just two special elephants and we had the privilege of one to one with them..bamboo rafting such a calming experience, to the most amazing day on the lakes. We also did both cooking experiences, visited an organic farm and participated in cooking all our own food and the processes involved and did the jungle dinner night - this was also lots of fun & we met some amazing people doing this, but all the trips were small groups so really good. Lekky - front of house was ever so helpful and personable. We had a problem with our first lodge so he went out of his way to ensure we were happy and moved our room on the 1st day, he was also the person to organise the trips ensuring great communication throughout all our trips. The breakfast is good, plenty of choice and highly recommend trying their cocktails. The views from the lodges and communal areas are lovely and so tranquil. The lodges are super clean and the beds are lovely and comfortable. Just a couple of suggestions would personally be: Some seating area in the lodges as only outside seating provided, but plenty of lovely space to relax in the communal areas. The bathrooms could do with a little spruce up all the taps are very loose!! But it is the jungle. Maybe a hand towel in the bathroom could be handy especially for us woman! But overall a fantastic experience and we have created the best memories here. Thank you.

We were really happy with our choice to stay at the Nung House!! The staff is really friendly and helpful! (We had a covid incident, brought it from a full moon party and had the breakout at Khao sok. The staff, good speaking English, was so great and helped us a lot to manage the difficult Situation). The Restaurant is really good aswell, probably one of the best we found in Khao sok. To mention is the great lake and especially the wet cave tour they offer at the Nung House. One of my favourite adventures in Thailand so far. The rooms are nice and clean for asian Standart. A lot of animals, like Geckos, Bats and so on are around and good to watch, while you have a nice view the beautiful garden. The river is not to far and the entrance to the national park you can reach in like 10 min. Really good place to stay for the cheap prices and a big thank you, it was a pleasure.

We stayed 2 nights at the Khao Sok Country Resort which turned out a smart and convenient decision. We toured Khao Sok National Park which was literally a 1 minute car ride from this Resort which provided for easy and quick access from our lodge. Our room itself was only 500 THB per night which we only spent time there for the evening and sleep. The wifi was good, the shower warm, and air con very efficient. Plus we found the bed incredibly comfortable. Overall, this was a high value and high efficient stay which we're gladly do again.

- a beautiful garden full of palm trees - quiet, peaceful surroundings - a very helpful owner and his wife -- fridge, hair dryer, kettle, towels, soap and shampoo in the room - probably there is a „price fixing” on the island and tour operators communicate with each other, so the tours cost similarly everywhere. you can order a trip here, the owners will be happy and will organize everything so that you are satisfied (I bought a two-day trip to the lake here and I don't regret it for a moment)

Very rustic and nicely maintained tree house resort by the riverside. Owners were very kind and helpful in setting up tours and activities. The husband has a real love for nature and his excitement is contagious. We booked a day tour which was excellent but operated by someone else, and a trip to the nearby elephant sanctuary, which was owned by the family. Very entertaining trip with an extra sidetour to some coffee fields atop a nearby mountain.

The bathrooms could do with a little spruce up all the taps are very loose!! But it is the jungle. Maybe a hand towel in the bathroom could be handy especially for us woman! But overall a fantastic experience and we have created the best memories here. Thank you.

We have just completed a wonderful stay here. The setting, overlooking the Khao Sok rain forest and overlooking the river, is simply magical. The rooms are pretty small, but lovely, clean and air conditioned. The restaurant has a relatively limited range, but the food is delicious and great value - helpful because unless you have your own transport you are relatively cut off. But for 3 days, it was a simple, tranquil, idyllic base for our Khao Sok excursions. Most of all, the staff were a delight - so friendly, helpful and welcoming. It's a pretty intimate stay, where you are with the staff a lot through all your meals, but that suited us, and we were sorry to leave, and very grateful for the warmth and hospitality that we received during our stay.

We’ve had a wonderful 4 days staying in this beautiful rainforest. The staff are brilliant and have organised all our trips for us which are just brilliant and a lovely experience, from cycling and visiting local villages in the jungle and seeing how they live and work, seeing how rubber is made coffee beans all the herbs and spices grown in the gardens to produce all the amazing food. The elephant sanctuary - a small local place that has orphaned just two special elephants and we had the privilege of one to one with them..bamboo rafting such a calming experience, to the most amazing day on the lakes. We also did both cooking experiences, visited an organic farm and participated in cooking all our own food and the processes involved and did the jungle dinner night - this was also lots of fun & we met some amazing people doing this, but all the trips were small groups so really good. Lekky - front of house was ever so helpful and personable. We had a problem with our first lodge so he went out of his way to ensure we were happy and moved our room on the 1st day, he was also the person to organise the trips ensuring great communication throughout all our trips. The breakfast is good, plenty of choice and highly recommend trying their cocktails. The views from the lodges and communal areas are lovely and so tranquil. The lodges are super clean and the beds are lovely and comfortable. The best place we've stayed in Thailand! The reasons: • Incredible setting, surrounded by the jungle, limestone cliffs and a turquoise river that runs through the accomodation. • Outstanding staff! ❤️ The staff was just next level here, attentive, kind, willing to help or just have a chat. We felt like part of the group here, like actual guests not just tourists. • Khao Sok activities: Within the accomodation they can find activities for you to do. • Food! The local food was delicious at their restaurant. • The treehouses are adorable, clean and comfortable and sleeping with the jungle sounds at night was definitely a highlight! Thank you everyone at Art's for making our stay so special, we will definitely come back :)

Very rustic and nicely maintained tree house resort by the riverside. Owners were very kind and helpful in setting up tours and activities. The husband has a real love for nature and his excitement is contagious. We booked a day tour which was excellent but operated by someone else, and a trip to the nearby elephant sanctuary, which was owned by the family. Very entertaining trip with an extra sidetour to some coffee fields atop a nearby mountain.

- a beautiful garden full of palm trees - quiet, peaceful surroundings - a very helpful owner and his wife -- fridge, hair dryer, kettle, towels, soap and shampoo in the room - probably there is a „price fixing” on the island and tour operators communicate with each other, so the tours cost similarly everywhere. you can order a trip here, the owners will be happy and will organize everything so that you are satisfied (I bought a two-day trip to the lake here and I don't regret it for a moment)

Our family had a wonderful stay at Our Jungle House, we travelled with 2 kids (6 & 8) and they loved it too. Whilst there we did canoeing, a half day trek, caves and raft, a visit to the elephant sanctuary, a day on the lake and a cooking course. All the trips were brilliantly organised and we loved them all. This was our highlight of all the places visited in Thailand. The Jungle House itself really immerses you into the jungle, we had monkeys on our roof, geckos everywhere and all the sounds of the jungle all night. The restaurant and bar are really reasonable and perfect to relax in all evening after busy days. I would recommend booking trips to fill your days as there isn't too much else to do on site.

We were really happy with our choice to stay at the Nung House!! The staff is really friendly and helpful! (We had a covid incident, brought it from a full moon party and had the breakout at Khao sok. The staff, good speaking English, was so great and helped us a lot to manage the difficult Situation). The Restaurant is really good aswell, probably one of the best we found in Khao sok. To mention is the great lake and especially the wet cave tour they offer at the Nung House. One of my favourite adventures in Thailand so far. The rooms are nice and clean for asian Standart. A lot of animals, like Geckos, Bats and so on are around and good to watch, while you have a nice view the beautiful garden. The river is not to far and the entrance to the national park you can reach in like 10 min. Really good place to stay for the cheap prices and a big thank you, it was a pleasure.

Mixed impressions. On the one hand there are a lot of things to do - especially for kids (Minigolf, two playsides, pool) on the other hand it is a strange Areal with lots of construction works and the name “rainforest” is a joke. There is literally no shadow on the whole area. Around there is rainforest (and lots of monkeys :) but on the hotel area there is only heat. And in our pool view room it was very loud - walls are like paper and the pool is used till late night. May be much better in a bungalow. And to be fair: there is music which kind of makes the windows shake, but it’s from the bars in town. You’ll have it in a lot of hotels that are central. But they try their best to be friendly and to support you. We had to move out after one night because of the loudness but came back for the playground (one is with a roof above). Last negative: breakfast is awful. Only pancakes eatable.
