We travel a lot, we are very spoilt, but this is one of the most beautiful places in the world! The service is very personal, you feel at home the moment you arrive. Sitting on the terrace in the evening and looking down on the lights of Knysna is unique.

The views all around, the inside and outside areas are just beautiful and the bedrooms and communal areas designed and set up with great style - this is a place to stay to indulge in all of this and the great hospitality and thoughtful touches from Sam, Gordon and their great staff. The place to stay in Kynsna.

An absolutely stunning lodge with beautiful and considered decor. The views are beyond breath-taking. Hosts Sam and Gordon were warm and welcoming and arranged a private chef to cook a meal for our group of 6, served outside with a view across the lagoon to the mountains - bliss
Just sad we couldn't stay longer.

Alkira offers an amazing top notch experience all round. From the most exquisite views all round this beautiful place with decor out of a magazine, to fireplaces and different areas all around this place where you can just be and relax. Sam and her team looks after your every step and can never do enough, the food was incredible. This place is simply the best. It offers everything, whatever you want to celebrate or just come and relax, laugh and make memories. I will be back over and over again and will never get enough of Alkira.

What an amazing experience, spending 2 nights at the lodge leaving with not a single thing we would change. Spectacular views, service and facilities. Thank you to Sam and team, you sure know how to make people feel special.

We had an incredible evening celebrating our 14th Anniversary at Alkira. We absolutely loved the food, the ambience, the incredible views! The hospitality was out of this world and honestly the best breakfast ever! I think the only aspect that I could possibly fault is that there weren't tea / coffee making facilities in the room. Otherwise, everything was incredible and such a spoil to spend the night there. Thank you to Sam and her brilliant team!

Alkira Lodge is THE place! Most enjoyable. Precisely placed on top of a hill with a stunning 360° view on to the mountains and on to the ocean and the lagoon. Kitchen and wine cellar are just awesome and the host, Samantha is wonderful hearty. All staff members are very professional.

A piece of paradise with breathtaking views. Grand guest rooms with beautiful attention to detail. Lovely private feel and beautiful surroundings. An incredibly special wedding venue. A special thanks to DP and Sam who made our special day unforgettable.
