Beautiful hotel facing the lagoon. Check in was not a smooth process due to a room mix up. The service from the staff was outstanding. The room I checked into was very nice, spacious, clean with a beautiful view of the lagoon. The food was delicious. The hotel is a bit far from the city center/waterfront.
Overall experience was outstanding.
I look forward to visiting this place again in summer.

We had an incredible stay at the Amanzi Island Boutique Hotel, beautifully situated in the lagoon of Knysna. The combination of the hotel's tranquil atmosphere, amenities, and fun recreational activities made our stay truly memorable. For those looking to stay active, the hotel offers complimentary access to kayaks, SUP boards, and bicycles. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making our experience even better. We wholeheartedly recommend Amanzi Island Boutique Hotel for a peaceful and delightful getaway.

Spent the most wonderful 2 nights here. Would thoroughly recommend. The location is superb, the food delicious and the staff are all outstanding. Would definitely return again. Visited the local nature reserve which was wonderful, followed by a tasty lunch at Lindy's cafe.

Our stay was nothing short of amazing, the team there ohhh l can write a book. I have never met such kind, sweet, amazing hosts.The beautiful lady at the reception, the gentleman who showed us to our room such a gentleman helped with our bags too.The team in the dining area amazing , amazing humans. Words cannot really describe how beautiful that team is.Will l be going back again,DEFINITELY.The rooms super clean , bedding crisp and smells super nice. They have some nice , luxurious smelling diffusers. Everything about that place is nothing short of stunning..

I have recently bought an apartment in Knysna and my son and I flew down to manage the moving in process. We stayed at the Amanzi Boutique hotel so that we would be comfortable and warm throughout what would be a chilly and wet week. Also I chose the Amanzi because they have a restaurant which I knew would be wonderful for evening meals after a busy day of moving furniture and so on. The rooms are very comfortable - mine was on one side of the property with a sea and lagoon view. My son's room was on the other side with a view of the gardens and the island itself. Rooms are well appointed, warm and comfortable. I made maximum use of the electric blanket as we had some very cold evenings and lots of rain. The breakfasts are excellent, lots of choice and all freshly made. Suppers were also very good - fresh, varied etc. Service levels were excellent - we were both so well looked after. You do need to get used to all of the steps and stairs on the property and these are all well signposted with lots of handrails - I can see that they pay attention to safety. The location is lovely - beautiful views and very accessible to all amenities. Although moving can be stressful I felt like I had had a real holiday nonetheless and we were both still working remotely in our respective businesses. Excellent wifi!

I will recommend this beautiful place any time. The rooms, the food and game drive was just perfect, typical Free State hospitality and you will be surprised with the location.

Out of the entire garden route, leisure island stole our heart and it is still on our mind The decision to choose leisure isle and amanzi made the place look much more beautiful with great moments. Staffs are hospitable. Fortune, mariet and team was absolutely wonderful and caring people. Food was good and very well priced. Rooms are top notch. A walk in the island made us even longing to go their repeat. Looking forward to see you guys soon.

Really nice stay. Boutique hotel in a great location with incredible views. Rooms were nice and the food was good. Seems like the best hotel option if you’re staying Knysna.
