Le Consulat

Beautiful and spacious room with great location.

The location of Let Consulat was excellent. With a Team stop right at the steps of the hotel and loads of eateries. Everything is a short walk away including a laundromat. The actual inside of the hotel was beautiful, the decor and space was excelelnt. Our only issues was with the bathroom, there is no ventilation so the floors are full of mould. From the time we stepped foot into the room there was an overwhelming smell of sewerage. We had to close and fill the bath and sink with water and close the bathroom door, even then the smell was so so strong and made us quite nauseous. Pedro, the night staff who welcomed us was excellent. The gentleman that checked us out didn't help at all. We had our hands full with luggage and he was just chatting on his mobile with his friend. He didn't have the courtesy to open the heavy door for us. Just yelled "bye" as the door was closing behind us. Shame that the horrid smell and the last point of contact that we have with the hotel was this person.

Our flight was delayed so we couldn't get to Lisbon. We had a reservation for two nights. The hotel would not give us a refund - not even for one night.

Even on the third floor, you can hear some street noise. Otherwise, the place is great and close to all the sights.

I was very happy to stay at Le Consulat. It's the best location in Chaido. The square just outside is always full of life and, at night, musical performers. There is even a cafe kiosk and chairs. The metro is just on the other side of the square, and Bertrand bookstore a few paces beyond that. You're a short walk from Rossio, Praca do Comercio, and so much more.The hotel room was clean and spacious, with an excellent bed, a roomy bathroom, and big windows overlooking the street below where the famous tram 28 passes. The staff was courteous, cheerful, and attentive. I look forward to staying at Le Consulat again when I return to Lisbon.

Le Consulat is a very nice hotel in a great location. I was able to walk to most destinations and there were plenty of food options nearby. It was clean and all of the staff members were very friendly. The hotel is next to a neighborhood square and I could hear the people and cars late into the night. Also, the elevator broke halfway through my stay, but the staff said they were replacing it completely with a new elevator, so it shouldn't be a problem for too much longer. I wish there was a desk or small table in the room to work on a laptop. The reception staff was able to arrange for a very early (3am) ride to the airport (surcharge), which helped ensure I got there on-time. They used WhatsApp for easy communication about the details of the property. I felt safe walking around this hotel at night. Overall, I was happy with my stay and would stay there again.

Beautiful hotel with spacious, comfortable rooms overlooking a lovely old square in the heart of Lisbon. Staff were friendly and helpful. The bar on the first floor is modern and stylish, with friendly staff, creative decor, and delicious cocktails.

Room was incredibly large in a city known to have mostly tiny spaces, plus nicely decorated and furnished. Well located such that we were within walking distance of most anything we wanted to visit. The custom breakfast was an interesting touch after massive buffets everywhere else we stayed. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
