"We had very high expectations because the website and service we were given over the phone. We arrived but front doors were locked. We waited 10 minutes and the guy eventually turned up and let us in. We booked their best room with lovely en-suite and were shown to the room....it wasn't en-suite...you had to come out of your bedroom door and enter a door on the right which was your private bathroom but right opposite our bedroom door is his office, so there was NO chance of me walking between rooms in a towel with him sitting in his office right opposite. Was VERY annoyed as this had been advertised as an en-suite hence why we booked it. We asked for a different room and were shown to another, it was ok, very very dusty and not cleaned properly, shower room (with no bath) was small enough to wash a hamster in....not happy. At breakfast, we all had to sit around a huge table with other guests, this is lovely if you liked that sort of thing, but we had come away from a nice romantic weekend for my birthday and didn't get the choice of sitting on our own as a couple if we wanted to. The breakfast was nice but you could only have what he was serving. Grilled breakfast, toast, cereal, fruit. One elderly gentleman on our table asked if he could have a boiled egg instead and was told no. He asked again and got them. Not very good customer service. The guy couldn't be found again when we wanted to check out....another wait.......Sorry, but I definitely wouldn't stay here again...."
