"Radha's Cottage is a lovely retreat, very well located at the end of the road in Matheran. It's a simple place, furnished largely with period furniture. The food is outstanding - the best I've had in 6 weeks of traveling in India. For those who are unfamiliar with Matheran as I was, a couple pieces of information: - The "toy train" runs very infrequently. Be sure to get a schedule if you plan to take it from the parking. - It's a 4.5km walk from the train station near the parking to Radha's. Don't believe the stationmaster if he tells you it's a 20 minute walk, it's an hour's walk. - It's still another 1.5km from the train station in the village to Radha's. If you've got a bag it's probably a good idea to get some help from a porter. - Sometimes the electricity goes out. When we stayed, these outages were brief, just a minute or 2. - Sometimes the water in the bathroom is dark brown. This surprised us one morning. It's dirt, and cleared during the course of the day."

"Ο άντρας μου κι εγώ χρειαζόμασταν να φύγουμε από την πόλη και να ακούσουμε θόρυβο και να ξανασυνδεθούμε με τη φύση. Περιτυλιγμένα σε ένα ήσυχο μέρος του δάσους της Μαθέραν, ακούτε μόνο τα όμορφα φωνή των τσιρών πουλιών και των γιγαντιαίων σκίουρων. Όσο για την ιδιοκτησία, η μεγάλη κυρία του δάσους στέκεται με ένα όμορφο μακρύ μπαλκόνι, ένα μαγευτικό εξωτερικό και εσωτερικό χώρο φαγητού (τα κεριά στο εσωτερικό ήταν ιδιαίτερα ιδιαίτερα στο τραπεζαρία), ένα σαλόνι με παιχνίδια, Και πολλά μονοπάτια για να περπατήσετε κοντά για να επισκεφθείτε πολλά σημεία. Αυτή είναι μια διακοπή που χρειαζόμασταν και θα την αγαπούσαμε πάντα. Δεν μπορώ να περιμένω να ξαναεπισκεφθούμε σύντομα. Αγαπούσα το δωμάτιό μας στο μπαλκόνι - το δωμάτιο Petit! Ευχαριστώ όλους που μας έκαναν τόσο ξεχωριστούς."
