Hotel Ansitz Plantiz

The garden is amazing. The hotel offers tons of opportunities starting with yoga, and bike rental up to oldtimer rides. It is very well located, 15 min walk from the beautiful Botanical garden. I appreciate the friendly staff and welcoming a**osphere.

I booked and fully paid for 2 rooms months in advance. We arrived at 12 and were told check-in is at 2….I have stayed before but no welcome back or kind greeting. We went out and returned at 5pm to be shown our suites….1 suite was like a smokers den! Upon walking in the receptionist said “yes it’s so bad but we had a guest who smoked in here for 7 days”!!!!!! We asked to have a different room but were told no rooms of the same category were available. They offered to give us the room our friend had (as a single traveller it was a large room) and basically downgrade us both. I spoke with the owner and asked why someone was allowed to smoke for a week, he said “what should I do, call the police”….! Eventually they moved us to a standard room. The receptionist lied repeatedly telling me that her colleague was wrong and the regular room was not a downgrade from the 2 room suite with private sauna on the terrace . The 2nd night they moved us again, this time to an upgraded suite No apology was offered at anytime. No gesture of even a glass of wine was offered at anytime Upon checkout no refund was offered for either the downgrade, the inconvenience or the bad experience. I explaIned I had not been provided with what I had paid for and a downgrade 1 night, an upgrade 1 night did not work. The owner begrudgingly gave us €100 discount on a room that cost €1800…… he did however acknowledge that the first night was a downgraded room, thereby confirming his receptionist had lied It is a very nice looking hotel but the owners, the receptionists and the wait staff are awful. No one smiles, no one is helpful. For the price you pay you get a 17yr old doing spa trea**ents, they have no experienced cocktail bar staff (they make cocktails using a recipe book, we tried several, only 1 tasted decent), there is no turndown service, 1 single carafe of water in your room and you get 1 towel each. The dinner and breakfast buffet isn’t refreshed so you need to be early! As a repeat guest you get 2 mouldy satsumas in your room…..without even a welcome back card The owner and his less than charming receptionist, insisted that they enforced no smoking. We found the no smoking sign in all the rooms we had, hidden in a cupboard…..together with a handy box of matches. They enforced it so badly that the housekeeper insisted on bringing an ashtray into the room for us even though we said no!!! All in all a dreadful experience. No apologies at anytime and a general sense that all they care about is getting as much money as possible out of guests. Avoid this hotel unless it changes ownership. Many wonderful hotels in the area. Stay at Maiena, Hotel Therme Meran or Weinegg if in the area….

So, don’t know where to start. We had high expectations for this hotel. Unfortunately, didn’t’ go as hoped. Really, REALLY rude people at the reception. At the arrival we were just parked at the garden to wait for the room. We didn’t check in early. Later my wife went to the reception to ask for fitness offers they have. She was told to go to the hotel website and book from there. Not much help as the person at the reception barely got up to “help”… As we were checking out, I asked if I could borrow the luggage wagon to bring our luggage down from the room. “Lady” at the reception had one word answer, NO, in a were rude and unfriendly voice and tone. Later found out that these wagons are not to be used without “a driver” from the hotel. Please note that this was a normal wagon that you see in lots of hotels. No hi tech… This hotel could have so much potential if the management would treat the customers as, well, customers.

I would have never expected this kind of service from an Hotel in Merano. Everything was simply perfect. We were upgraded by the owner to a romantic suite and believe me when I say that the room was at the level of Four seasons or Ritz Carlton suites. Breakfast was incredible every morning. Internet super fast. There are and open air infinity pool and an indoor pool. We hang out at the pool one full day and it was very relaxing. There is a small gym and spa. 2 floor parking garage (you will never run out of spots) I met the owner (her) and she was exquisite. I believe she is also a painter and you can admire her work all accross the property. There is soooo much. I really suggest you visit this Hotel if you ever come to Merano.

Un hotel che si spaccia per 5 stelle ma purtroppo li darei un 3/4 stelle.La titolare è e sua figlia sono maleducate e sgarbate. Abbiamo prenotato una junior suite e ci siamo trovati con una camera vecchia con la doccia rotta,divano sporchissimo,senza macchina del caffè e bollitore,cuscino vecchio puzzolente,ragnatele negli angoli etc. Abbiamo dovuto cercare un ristorante dove passare il capodanno perché loro ci hanno assegnato un tavolo in una stanzetta piccola e buia con 5 tavoli e non ha voluto cambiare il tavolo.Una vergogna per i veri 5 stelle. spero si capisca bene dalle foto.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo meraviglioso hotel a cavallo di fine anno per una vacanza sugli sci. Già all'arrivo si respira un'a**osfera di relax totale. Basta lasciare la macchina negli spazi riservati al check-in e il personale si occuperà di scaricare le valigie, portarle in camera e parcheggiare l'auto in garage. Il personale dell'hotel è sempre disponibile a soddisfare qualsiasi richiesta. Ristorante di ottimo livello, ambiente caldo e familiare. Molto simpatica e coinvolgente la serata a tema per il cenone di Capodanno. Ottima la SPA e la piscina esterna riscaldata, sarebbe solo preferibile che la temperatura di quella interna fosse leggermente più alta. Nel complesso un hotel di alto livello dove ci si sente veramente coccolati.

Prenotato soggiorno per una notte, pagato anticipato, comunicato con anticipo indisponibilità per grave problema familiare, non ottenuto alcun rimborso né possibilità di spostare prenotazione per altra data!

Ein 5 Sterne-Hotel mit sehr gutem Essen und schöner Parkanlage, aber zu wenig Sitzplätze im Aussenbereich um dort bei schönem Wetter das Abendessen zu genießen. Die Möbel in unserem Doppelzimmer waren sehr abgewohnt - altes Badezimmer mit schmaler Dusche. Hallenbad in die Jahre gekommen.
