"The hotel's location couldn't be more convenient, right by the Shinkansen exit. Downstairs, there are several restaurants, including yakiniku, ramen, and BBQ. I highly recommend Fuku no Ken – their grilled skewers are absolutely delicious, as is their oden, and it's all very affordable. The twin beds in the double room are very spacious, and you can push them together. The floor-to-ceiling window offers a direct view of Mount Fuji, and we had clear skies every day of our stay, which was beautiful. The room details are also very refined, and there's even a special jewelry stand. The breakfast selection isn't huge, and there aren't many hot dishes. We mostly relied on miso soup and ochazuke (rice with hot tea/broth). However, salads and fruits were plentiful. When we checked out, I forgot my passport at the hotel. Not long after, the hotel proactively called me. I was already on the Shinkansen, but I quickly rushed off before the train departed to retrieve it. It was a close call, but the hotel's service was truly efficient and timely."

"Standard Toyoko inn. It isn't good location wise, since it is located north from the station and the bulk of Mishima is south. There's no way you can walk through the station, you have to pay 150 yen cash or take a 20-minute detour around the station. However, there's a great and cheap sushi restaurant in the northern part of the station, so make sure to go there if you choose this hotel. Check out was at 10 a.m. instead of usual 11 a.m. and we had several stressful minutes when called by staff at 10.15. They demanded we pay extra for 'late check-out'. Didn't have to pay after all, perhaps they decided they didn't want to argue with stupid foreigners... Breakfast wasn't good, too few options."

"Natural hot spring ”Fugaku-no-yu” [Free for hotel guests]: The hot spring is excellent. The location is great, right next to Mishima Station, and you can even photograph Mount Fuji from the station. The only minor drawback is that the lobby is a bit small, with only three small tables for tea. During breakfast hours, there's no place to sit."

"A business hotel with the basic necessities for short stays. Most guests are business travellers, guests on vacation may have to manage their expectation. The 2 lady front desk staffs were very helpful when we enquired about Hakone travel pass. Even with language barrier, they were trying their best to communicate using google translation. Breakfast was delicious, especially the curry rice, only ¥550 per hotel guest. If you spend most of the time out to visit place of interests and just need a place to shower and rest, this can be an option to consider."

"The smallest room I have ever stayed in in Japan. The key is that the bed is too small... The front desk is also very small. At first, I doubted whether it was the front desk. But the service is good."

"The environment on the first floor feels more like a coffee shop. There's a self-service water bar that's pretty much always available, and coffee too. Breakfast in the morning is a buffet, with limited variety, but enough to fill you up. The miso soup is rich with ingredients, including green leafy vegetables. It offers great value for money."

"Retro hotel, bathroom is a public bathhouse, girls can lock the door, the appointment time will put hot water first. Tatami room, the bed is very warm. Breakfast fish is grilled and an appointment time is required. Overall great."
