My last day at HalfMoon Resort Montego Bay. This was one of the best trips I've taken! I have nothing bad to say about this place. The grounds are impeccable, the food is 5 star, and the service is top notch! Every person I've met here has been like family would treat you. They remember your name, your room, what you like, everything. I stayed in the Eclipse room. They are brand new and gorgeous! The best pillows! Room service was always amazing and prompt. The drinks here are definitely the best, they use premium alcohol and make delicious drinks. The Delmare restaurant is 5 star, met both of the head chefs and they put out the best food. The ocean is like bath water and they have little bay areas that were built to keep the waves down. Best water I've experienced in my travels. I wish I could remember everyone's names but I'm bad at that. Tony was one of a few that took care of me on the beach. Got me anything I wanted and was genuinely a wonderful lady. I really have nothing bad to say about anyone. Shout out to every housekeeper, butler, wait staff, bell staff and the staff that checks you in. If your thinking of booking this resort...you won't be disappointed!!

This was my first time visting Halfmoon and I have to say this was a wonderful experience. The property was beautiful. And the staff was absolutely wonderful. Suzan our Chef for the week was absolutely superb. The food was delicious and so authentic. Franklyn and our Housekeeper for the week was fabulous. Andrea our on-site event manager was terrific and the overall management team made this whole experience wonderful. Halfmoon is the place to relax, have a wedding and hang out with family. For my photographer’s the sunset is beautiful.

Beautiful grounds. Incredible beach. Wonderful property and friendly people. But all that means nothing when things go wrong, and the staff won’t be honest about it. We called a couple days after a hurricane, and got such a glowing report, we flew into town for wedding and kept our reservation. They told us they had back up generators and the rooms had air. That was not true when we arrived. Long story short the various staff and managers kept failing to tell us the truth, and strung us along for several hours, when we could have tried to find other accommodations. They couldn’t even get us into rooms because they couldn’t make electronic keys. This is a stunning resort, but I think it’s fair to judge you by how well you handle your worst days, and for those travelers who agree, this isn’t the place for you.

We took a family trip. We had 3 families in a 7 bedroom garden villa. It was amazing. When we first got there we struggled with the heat in the main area of the villas. We are a/c people! No worries! We closed all the exterior doors and in the day we opened all the bedroom doors and the rest of the trip was cool all over! The villa staff was absolutely amazing. We had Suzan our chef, Cecil our butler and Suzette our housekeeper. They were the sweetest , most wonderful people that took care of us all week! The villa is old traditional Jamaican style. The beds were comfortable and rooms big. They are currently remodeling/ updating the villas so I cannot even imagine how awesome they will be with done. If you want to spend good quality together time stay in a villa! I have stayed at Round Hill twice and loved it. When comparing the two I have to say Half moon hands down has the most beautiful beaches and is way bigger. It's bigger but not crowded! I am picky about the beaches at resorts and half moon is hard to beat! It reminds me a lot of Caneel bay beaches. As far as children are concerned this is an awesome place! They have all sorts of kids activities. They have the motorized snorkeling, boats, tubing, paddle boards, floats all right on the beach. The food was wonderful, we mostly ate dinner at the villa. It was so easy and delicious. Don't question this resort! It's so wonderful and our family definitely would love to return!

Absolutely Amazing! We started our vacation at Round Hill which was horrifying and infested with bugs, so I had to switch hotels in the middle of my fiancés birthday trip. I called late Friday night which was our 2nd day at Round Hill and told Javette at HalfMoon about the horrific experience, and that I had stayed with them before and asked if she had space for us. She gladly accommodated, and gave us a complimentary upgrade and early morning arrival! When we got to the front desk area, we were greeted with amazing rum punches, and Nadia advised “Welcome Home”. Nadia and her colleagues are absolutely amazing. I literally felt like I was home, yet on this massive resort. Our butlers Kim and Shauna were fabulous! The oceanfront room was clean and very nice, the patio area was clean and bug free! We could sit and enjoy the patio without bugs so they must treat the area. The food and drinks all over the resort are remarkable. Delmare was excellent and North Point was great. The service is impeccable. The spa is absolutely amazing and ALL the ladies at the spa are phenomenal. They helped to turn my fiancés birthday into a romantic success in hours notice coming from Round Hill. Get a couples massage in the bungalow and a private bath after! Amazing!!! Thank you HalfMoon, we will be back soon!!

Our stay at the Half Moon Resort was excellent! First, the breakfast was really good. The authentic Jamaican cuisine was better than it is in the states. (I recommend the ackee and saltfish). The service and cleanliness was top notch. I particularly liked the fact that every staff member, whether a groundskeeper, butler, chef, bartender, etc., said good morning, and hello in the evening. Another great perk was that if an employee was driving a golf cart and saw you walking they would ask you if you wanted a ride to your destination. The rum punch gave you a punch! It wasn't too strong or too weak. It was just right. We had a remarkable butler named (Keith), an amazing chef named (Chef Carmen), and a housekeeper named (Tiffany). They were the absolute best staff you could ask for. The rooms were well air-conditioned, and we slept like babies. I would definitely recommend Half Moon to anyone wanting to visit Montego Bay.

Amazing resort. Barely lifted a finger. Everyone makes you feel so welcomed. I will 100% go back next year. Seagrape is the best breakfast spot, it has a buffet with unlimited options. For dinner, any of the bars or restaurants are great choices. The golf course was a fun layout (greens weren’t in the greatest shape but were punched not too long ago) caddies (especially Clyve) were amazing and made it a great experience

Resort is well organized and spread out over a large acreage. Rooms are well maintained and spacious. The pools and beach front are excellent places to relax and wind down. However, the service levels do not meet expectations, have to wait 45 mins for bell desk, dining areas are very very slow. For a room costing above $750/night , expectations were not met.
