I really dont know how to start this review as I cant just simply echo the words of everyone else - even though its all true. Yes, KJBVs are a truly stunning and luxurious experience, way, way beyond our expectations. But what no-one writes about is the way you begin to ”feel” the place. The peace. The quiet. The solitude....oh my... day by day it seeps into your very being until you reach this zen like state and feel total contentment. Visit for a couple of days and have the WOW experience. Stay for a week or two and you will be a different person at the end of it. It gets deep under the skin. The natural beauty of the place is breathtaking - one moment you're in Thailand, the next the Caribbean, then the Maldives, then Thailand once again. A fusion moment at every step, and each step is like walking through a film set. We met Ken, the owner, and some of his family, and he proudly showed us the new forward steps he was taking as an eco resort. we were impressed. The management team seemed to gel with both the staff and the guests and it certainly seemed like they were one big family, and more than happy to make YOU happy. Thank you all, especially David and his remarkable team of smiles. So. If you enjoy quiet conversations, glorious, glorious sunsets, long, blissful beach strolls, and feel your very soul refreshed, then just GO. I'm so glad we did.

The photos meet: Pool, room, beach.We also knew about the distance of the plant, only: the bungalows have come in the years, everywhere in the plant is waste around and it is extremely smooth and negligent. The requirements of the bedrooms are shamish, it grows out green stuff. When we saw the kitchen, we didn't want to eat there anymore. Eating rests were on the table between the kitchen and the toilet. The theke in the breakfast break was frozen, dirty purcells next to the table where fruit is cut, no, thank you. We took 20 minutes walk to dinner, in the Yoon's kitchen it seemed hygienic and it was more circulating.The reception in the entrance area is not used, instead a full-packed table is in the dining room for the Reception. The staff turns the way between the bungalows, that was then. With the only English-language staff (the manager?) we searched the conversation, he did not understand “our problem”. Sorry, because the location on the long beach is good, near the airport and as a starting point to the islands. The facility is certainly not a resort, everything needs a thorough review, not just beauty repairs. Where the good reviews come from the booking portals, I am a mystery !

The Chalalai is mainly air travellers who spend a night before or after a further flight. The check-in was easy. The hotel has no lift, so you have to bring your baggage to the 1st or 2nd floor. The large room with a pre-screen (fridge, small closet plus dressing board) and a large bathroom were very clean. The double bed was sufficiently large and had a high and a little harder mattress that allowed a good sleep. The noise of the passage was tolerable in the simply glassed windows. The breakfast consists of freshly prepared egg food, white toast, packed margarine and marmelade, as well as orange juice and instant coffee plus tea. Price-performance ratio is OK.

Really nice place. Highly recommend. The host and all the workers are very friendly and helpful. They printed boarding passes for us. The hotel is well equipped, food there is very tasty and absolutely loved the architecture of the building. Lovely place for animal lovers, as they have three dogs, few cats and a lot of fish too. The place is close to the airport, they can organise taxi for 200 baht, which is cheaper than grab or getting a taxi from the street. There is table tennis there, small gym and they even have badminton rackets. Nice variety of beer and ale. We ate brownie made by the owner and it was one of the best brownies I’ve ever eaten! 5*!!!

The Ocean beach resort must be one of the greatest places on earth to relax. The friendly staff, the great food and perfect location makes for a lovely stay. When the tide hits the swimming is perfect and if you want to take a trip with the canoe there are plenty to rent/borrow. We had the ”family” villa which was perfect for our family of four. Luckily we had booked our shuttle from Phuket and a boat with 12go; because our plane from Singapore was two hours late, so we missed the public ferry and they organized our own long tail. Tiger also travels to the island from Phuket by speedboat. Once arrived we had a bungalow in the small, family complex directly on the sea. A dream! The bungalow was very well equipped (fridge, minibar, hair dryer, soap, shower gel, mosquito repellent, water shoes...). There were enough folding deck chairs, so we made ourselves comfortable on the terrace. The beach section is small. And when you come here, you know about the tides. So no reason for negative reviews! During low tide you can use the pool, go for a relaxing massage, read, play, tour the island, rent a scooter... Breakfast can be chosen from a menu. Egg dishes, yoghurt, fruit, toast, soup... The á la carte dinner is cooked by ”Mama” in the small kitchen. Very tasty and beautifully prepared. Alternatives can only be reached by scooter. We didn't think it was necessary. The staff is very nice and supports all projects! And then there are 4 dogs. The two Goldies are really cute! Not only do they get into the water, grab rocks instead of sticks and swing along on the surfboard, but they also chase the monkeys away! After 5 days we drove to Koh Lanta. It was too ”big” for us there, so we went to Koh Ngai 😉

The bungalow was very well equipped (fridge, minibar, hair dryer, soap, shower gel, mosquito repellent, water shoes...). So no reason for negative reviews! During low tide you can use the pool, go for a relaxing massage, read, play, tour the island, rent a scooter... Breakfast can be chosen from a menu. Egg dishes, yoghurt, fruit, toast, soup... The á la carte dinner is cooked by ”Mama” in the small kitchen. Very tasty and beautifully prepared. Alternatives can only be reached by scooter. We didn't think it was necessary. The staff is very nice and supports all projects! And then there are 4 dogs. The two Goldies are really cute! Not only do they get into the water, grab rocks instead of sticks and swing along on the surfboard, but they also chase the monkeys away! After 5 days we drove to Koh Lanta. The Ocean beach resort must be one of the greatest places on earth to relax. The friendly staff, the great food and perfect location makes for a lovely stay. When the tide hits the swimming is perfect and if you want to take a trip with the canoe there are plenty to rent/borrow. We had the ”family” villa which was perfect for our family of four. There are a lot of stairs but no problems for us. Everyone in the staff did everything to makes us feel at home during our 3 nights stay. We'll be ack!

Everything was perfect ! The people from the hotel were so so nice ! Always smiling, very helpful, they even lend us tuba and glasses to see in the water !
