Riu Helios Bay - All Inclusive

Firstly let me thank radko veronika vinci kasimir irina Anna and all the bar staff for their friendly service they are all wonderful. Then we must thank Nico for his amazing entertainment. After that food is good as is location. We love the people and have had a great time.

September is end of season 🤯😢 so not a lot to do ANYWHERE 😴😴😴 Hotel very clean, bar staff AMAZING and work very hard! NEKO FROM ENTERTAINMENT 🎉🎉👍🏻, Bedroom lovely and bed very comfortable maybe too comfortable 😍 😆,Spanish restaurant at night not to good, Asia restaurant LOVELY 🤗 shop staff very helpful, NOW FOR THE BAD BITS!! Baby pool far to cold for any baby or adult 😢😢 poorly baby's with bad colds, Big outdoor pool freezing nobody would be in there more that 2 mins, complete waste of space, and very sad for them that loves to swim or just dip, pool side was always clean, 1/2 reception girls have attitudes the size of elephants, and nobody tells you that you can have free bottle of water for your room daily, only found that out on day 8 🤦🏻‍♀️ no kettle in room, The moment a group of ppl (obvious management friends) went home last Wednesday the gas on all fizzy pop and beer was turned off every where so drinks are flat and got Gross, we had to start buying from the shop so defeats the purpose of paying all-inclusive NOW FOR THE VERY VERY BAD!!!!!!!! Someone in this hotel is selling ****** to some of the polish guests who are asking them to get it for them.. This is a very dangerous situation fully loaded ready to Use 💉hidden in the w/c and around the hotel in hidden places, Spouse found a fue and emptied them down the Loo, disabled Loo... A poor Spanish girl who's partner had taken the drug unknown to her, He was completely smacked out his head and she didn't know what to do or what was wrong with him!!! We seen a another holiday guess helping her get him to the room, he hit his partner and slammed the door on the girl who helped and got her dress stuck in the door, girl trying to get her dress out the door and the police got called they was trying to arrested her! Not the smack head.🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

Where do i start, check in?! Very friendly staff, bright and spacious and immaculately clean lobby area, wc's easily accessible and spotless. To the room, very good size, and as we were now coming to expect, very clean. Very comfy bed, large wardrobe, shower room big and gleaming. Food: a vast array even for the fussy eater. Daily cocktails very nice. But for us what made our holiday was the staff. Niko led a team of 5 through a wide variety of entertainment he deserves a lot of credit for his energy and customer service. The bar colleagues are fantastic. I am terrible at remembering names but radko leads the team and veronika is a special young lady, very thoughtful and caring and always smiling. The rest of the gang are all great too and left a special place in our hearts. Well done to everyone at the hotel for making us welcome, we had a fantastic stay....

Me and my family (husband and 2 year old son) came on 16th september and are still currently here. The room we got has been very spacious, we never had to ask for a cot, it was just provided. The rooms are very clean and the shower is great. The food provided within the all inclusive is varied of a night. They always have pizza and pasta available, but if your son is like mine and doesnt like Italian food, then not really much choice for toddlers. If you want to try and get into the speciality restaurants you need to get to the downstairs restaurant for opening which is 6.30pm and book unless you are behind people who spend 20 minutes talking to the maitre d and all tables are taken by 7pm. The pool is cold, the weather has been a bit meh, but cannot blame a hotel for weather. The hotel doesnt have sun loungers on the beach, which was disappointing. The low rating is due to the lack of chance to get into the restaurants, I spoke to reception staff who told me that it is out of their hands. The local town does shut down a lot by mid september, some bars are open and some shops open, we are a family who eat out and go out for days out whilst on holiday, within the town their isn't an awful lot for kids to do, they do have a few local parks also. The staff have always been friendly, the entertainment is ok of an evening, starting at 8.30pm for children and then adult entertainment 930pm which has been a mixed bag.

After reading recent reviews we were worried as this was our first visit to Bulgaria. We stayed 5th September for 2 weeks and couldn't fault the hotel at all. Food hot and varied. Clean room and great power shower. Just on the beach and it was gorgeous. OK, the staff may not always smile but most were lovely. The bar staff were brilliant, literally a queue was 2 people in front but rarely a queue, and they'd do any cocktails and all up to midnight. Entertainment team brilliant but a few show amateur but 100% for effort. We'd really recommend this place... And we've travelled a lot! Thank you so much for a fantastic holiday Michelle and Kev

Our rating would be about 4.5 out of 5. Having read mixed reviews online prior to the trip, I was a little nervous. But we had no need to be. The hotel was lovely - we spent a week there with our 18 month old and feel rebooted. Positives Lots of drinks choices. If you don’t fancy a cocktail from the list, you just say what mood you’re in, and they’ll make something. Coffee and hot chocolate were yummy. Loads of teas to pick from. Food was amazing. Each day wasn’t the same. We went to the Spanish and Chinese restaurant - both made for a changed of scene. The salad bar is fully stocked lots of desserts, large choice of fruit. Everything is clean and hygienic. The pool, corridors, flooring, etc. Staff are kind and helpful. On-site doctor (which we used) and they saw our daughter within minutes. The beach is on the hotels doorstep and is perfect. It’s so close that you’re 30 secs from the pool bar. So you won’t go thirsty. It’s about 18lv / £10 for 2 Sun loungers and umbrella if you didn’t want to just sit on your towel on the beach. Beach towels are free and can have more whenever you want them. Bottled water is free - just ask reception each day. There’s loads of coffee machines dotted around for boiling water (for baby’s milk). Bar after dinner was child friendly in the sense we had her in the pram dozing whilst we played cards. Views from room balcony on the beach we’re lovely! Negatives There are 4 lifts. And 2 lifts always just stayed on a floor. So if you’re in the middle flooring (ie 4th floor), at breakfast the lift would just be full from above and we would have to wait a while. Couldn’t take stairs as pram. I have no idea why they didn’t use all 4 lifts at all times, but it frustrated a lot of people. Limited area for children around 18 months old - where they couldn’t be trusted like a toddler and need handholding. The pool was a totally liability so we ended up staying by the beach. Nothing to do with the hotel (Riu’s fault for not instructing their supplier) but the coach drivers were always on their phone calls or texting. The outside could do with a lick of paint and the dining room chairs need changing. We never did the evening entertainment so can’t comment. Enjoy if you’re going!!
