"Hotel very new and modern . Good secure inside bicycle storage cage . Elevator to room . Our reception was very friendly.. Hotel is a bit sterile with need for more ambiance but that will come as the hotel matures . Biggest complaint that we were put in room 423 an enormous room which is a handicapped room . No instructions in the light controls , and we accidentally set an alarm off for assistance without knowing we had done it nor any idea of the method to turn it off . Very stressful . The dinner menu at on-site restaurant was limited but had several good choices at reasonable price point . Breakfast was good with multiple hot and cold food choices ."

"Our one-night stay was very enjoyable. We received a friendly welcome at reception, with rooms all ready. We had driven directly from London (UK) to Paderborn and the hotel's free, off-road car park was a welcome site, and located just metres from the entrance. No searching for car parking! The hotel's public areas were well decorated, clean and spacious and our rooms were comfortable with all the usual facilities. We didn't have dinner at the hotel. Our time in Paderborn was limited, so wanted to explore the city centre and dine there. Personally, I had not visited Paderborn for many, many years and was pleasantly surprised that it it hadn't changed too much. The hotel is a 15-minute cab ride from the hotel - couldn't face anymore driving - and it cost a reasonable 17 euros (for a party of three). Breakfast was great. Varied with a choice of hot and cold food and drink. All-in-all, the Waldhotel Nachtigall offers friendly and welcoming accommodation, as well as great value for money. We hope to return to Paderborn and, upon doing so, would have no hesitation in choosing this hotel."
