"The hygiene was great, and the room was spacious. However, the shower in the bathroom was too small, and the showerhead was very inconvenient to use. Parking was abundant and easy to find, and the little courtyard was lovely. It's very close to the beach, so you can go stargazing after dark. When our check-in was delayed, a quick phone call resolved it easily."

"We booked a two-bedroom suite, which was actually two separate rooms connected, and having two bathrooms was a definite plus. The location is right in the town center, making it super convenient for dining and shopping. There's an underground parking lot, but the entrance is a bit tricky to find; you'll need to slow down and look carefully as you approach. Check-in was handled by a handsome Chinese guy, which was a nice touch 😋. On the downside, the living room floor was a bit slippery, the lighting in the room was a bit dim, and the bathroom was a little cold at night. The picture is of a nearby burger joint, which was quite good!"

"This 'Instagrammable' hotel definitely lives up to its hype! Even though there wasn't any staff present, we arrived at 8 PM and the fireplace was already lit, which was so cozy. Considering its natural setting, the cleanliness was quite good. Just a heads-up: they don't provide toothbrushes or toothpaste, so be sure to bring your own. We actually had to go to the town's supermarket to buy some."

"The hotel is right in the town center, and parking is conveniently located right outside the rooms. It's clean and tidy, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. Turn left out of the hotel and just a few steps away, you'll find a street full of restaurants. The very first place on your left serves a great dinner. If you turn right and walk to the end of the street, the breakfast at that spot is fantastic! Their smoked salmon croissant was absolutely delicious!"

"This hotel perfectly matches my vision of Apollo Bay as a quiet, cozy, and nature-filled harbor town. The room was spotless, the facilities were well-maintained, and the hot water was plentiful with a super comfy bed – truly the best comfort for a traveler after a day of exploring. I especially loved the lush greenery surrounding the hotel; waking up to the sound of birds chirping in the morning was a delight. "This was a good stopover on our Great Ocean Road trip. The room had a great view of the ocean. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't on our side, with strong winds and rough seas the day we arrived. Apollo Bay has plenty of food options, so you don't need to worry about finding a meal when driving yourself. My only complaint is that I didn't see any hotel staff during our entire stay, so the service was practically non-existent. Also, parking in the courtyard is quite limited."

TTonychachaDuring our Great Ocean Road trip, we chose to stay at the Coast Motel in Apollo Bay, and the overall experience was fantastic – highly recommended!
First off, the location is excellent, right near Apollo Bay town, making it super convenient to drive in and out. It's easy to get to the beach or nearby restaurants. The surrounding area is quiet and pleasant, creating a wonderful holiday atmosphere where you can really relax and unwind at night.
The room was clean and tidy, and the space was more generous than expected; we had no trouble spreading out our luggage. The bed was comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep, which is incredibly important after a long drive on the Great Ocean Road. All the basic amenities were provided and worked perfectly.
A huge plus was the convenient parking; we could almost park right outside our room, making luggage handling incredibly easy – very friendly for self-driving travelers.
The staff were also very friendly. Check-in was smooth, and they were always willing to help when needed, making the whole experience feel very relaxed and stress-free.
Overall, the Coast Motel offers reasonable prices and a comfortable environment, making it a perfect stopover on the Great Ocean Road. If I come back to Apollo Bay, I would definitely stay here again 👍

MMinmintravelIt was a perfect one night stay for the family. Room is really spacious, toilet is well maintained. It’s walking distance to all the cafe and restaurant along the main street. Do remember to check out Apollo Bakery for their scallop pie which was delicious.

OoliviachenzwWe are a family of 8, and we rented the entire unit, both downstairs and upstairs, for our stay. The weather was cold during our visit, but the beds were equipped with heaters, which made for a very comfortable night’s sleep.
Each floor has its own bathroom and kitchen, which was incredibly convenient for our large group. The bathrooms came with basic toiletries, although there was no toothpaste provided, so be sure to bring your own. The kitchens were well-equipped and functional, with simple seasonings like salt and pepper. We brought our own cooking oil, but everything else was perfect for preparing warm meals for dinner and breakfast.
The homestay is located in Marengo. One thing to note is that there are no supermarkets in Marengo itself, but Apollo Bay is just a few minutes' drive away. We recommend stocking up on groceries there before arriving if you plan to cook during your stay.
Parking was more than sufficient for our Kia Carnival 8-seater, so we had no trouble with that.
The area is wonderfully quiet, making it perfect for a relaxing, peaceful getaway. We had a truly pleasant stay here and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a spacious and comfortable place to stay.

SSisixiongApollo Bay is the town where our family stayed the longest on this self-driving Great Ocean Road trip. Our family of five, two adults and three children, stayed in this cabin for three nights in a row. In addition to the beautiful scenery nearby, the most important thing is that it provides bicycles, boats, fishing rods, golf clubs, etc., and you can go to nearby courses. , play at the beach, we have fun every day! The owner Amanda and a friend of hers are taking care of these cabins. They are very nice people and can provide a lot of help to guests. For those of us living in domestic cities, burning wood in the fireplace to keep warm is a very interesting experience!

GGuest UserThe location is very good. It is opposite the sea and very close to the town where we eat. We arrived by car at 8 pm and left after sleeping for one night. The family room is enough for two large and two small children. Parking is free and there is no breakfast recommendation. If you continue to drive on your own the next day, you can go to Kafe Koala for breakfast and look for koalas. Today, you were lucky enough to see 4 koalas on the tree. Although the bathroom is too small and the facilities are outdated. There is shampoo and shower gel but no toothbrush, toothpaste and slippers. The duplex cabin has stairs. The children found it very good and happy. There is a pot of cold water in the refrigerator. It’s okay not to buy bottled water. Restaurants in town open late, and supermarkets open until after 9 o'clock.

The staff were very helpful and friendly and the room of bay view is spacious with a small sitting room and all necessary utensils
People just need to bring necessary food and drink to cook for themselves as there is a bit distance from the town center
A little advice though: please provide air-conditioner for the accommodations as it’s pretty hot in summer in the room. It’s not comfortable and the guest cannot sleep well in the summer heat
