"First off, the service was fast, convenient, and very welcoming. The environment was great, with no unpleasant odors, even in the bathroom – I was extremely satisfied. The location is absolutely amazing! It's just a 3-4 minute walk to the South Gate entrance of Hetou Old Street. You can stroll down the street to the east, take a boat ride back, and then exit through the South Gate again, making the return to the hotel quick and easy. The sleeping conditions were excellent, and they even provided free bottled water. The service was top-notch. Highly trustworthy and recommended."

"This hotel is located in the Aegean Sea Shopping Park in Tangshan's city center and shares an underground parking lot with the mall, so there's plenty of parking available. There's a dedicated elevator for the hotel in the underground parking, which means no waiting in crowded lines. The shopping center itself has numerous restaurants, making lunch and dinner incredibly convenient. The hotel rooms are quite clean, and the mattress comfort is also good. While the breakfast on the 7th floor can't compare to what you'd find in a luxury hotel, it's definitely among the best in its price range. They offer common Chinese and Western breakfast items like fried eggs, bread and toast, sausages, wontons, and tofu pudding, and everything tastes good. If you're traveling for leisure or business in the area, this hotel is definitely worth considering."

"## Ambiance: The biggest plus is its proximity to Tangshan Feast. No need to queue, and parking is close by and free. ## Service: Thumbs up for the service! Quick response times, friendly, and always ready to answer any questions. ## Welcome Fruit: I could eat and drink it all, and even take some to go. Didn't need to buy any water or fruit for my two days in Tangshan! ## Facilities: Some facilities could use improvement. Many switch panels in the room were broken (the lights wouldn't turn off even after pressing the touch button). My room had a bathtub, and the electric curtain track wasn't designed well, letting in a lot of light very early in the morning. Plus, the sides of the bathtub are mirrors, which made the light even more intense (see picture 6). There were quite a few issues with the room's facilities, but the excellent service made up for it."

"I was in Tangshan for a business trip and decided to bring my parents to Hetou Old Street to celebrate my mom's birthday. The last time I stayed here, Iris Yao Jiajing was my DM, and she made my stay so wonderful that I chose InterContinental again for my parents' visit. This time, we encountered a few minor issues with the room facilities, which is understandable given the hotel's age. However, every single problem was promptly and effectively resolved by Manager Yao Jiajing. She also proactively checked the room availability and upgraded my parents' room for free, which was a lovely surprise. When she learned it was my mother's birthday, she thoughtfully arranged a tea break with a cake for us. Throughout our stay, she also checked in to see if we needed anything else. I am incredibly grateful for Manager Yao's professionalism and attentiveness; she has truly left me with a positive impression of this hotel, and her service made our family trip exceptionally smooth."

"The hotel is great; although it's been operating for many years, it doesn't look old at all. The facilities are very complete, making it an excellent holiday hotel. We booked a lake-view room this time, offering views of the Ferris wheel, and the deer park downstairs where kids can play 'fishing for ducks'. It's very close to Hetou Old Street, about a 3-minute electric cart ride away, or even walkable. What I want to praise the most is the hot spring water park. The kids went wild on the water slides, while the elderly could relax in the nearby hot spring pools and then enjoy a steam bath – very comfortable! The overall service at the hotel is very good, and the staff are enthusiastic. However, the booking process is not very flexible; once booked, it cannot be canceled or modified. I wanted to upgrade the first night to a package including tickets to Old Street and the Dongzheng performance, but was told it wasn't possible. Even if upgraded, they wouldn't provide an extra child's ticket or allow me to purchase one. My initial attempt to coordinate with Ctrip was unsuccessful. Eventually, as I couldn't secure tickets for the May Day Dongzheng performance, I asked Ctrip customer service for help again. Thanks to my 'Black Diamond' status, Ctrip said they treated me as a VIP to get it sorted (I still love Ctrip in my heart). In the end, it wasn't an upgrade to the package; it was more like buying two tickets for 300 yuan, including two Dongzheng performance tickets, as the child ticket in the package wasn't utilized. Later, I stayed at Yanji Caotang, which directly gave us three extra Dongzheng performance tickets, making me prefer Caotang in comparison. If the hotel's booking department could have handled this situation flexibly earlier, this hotel would have been perfect for me. As it stands, my impression is that hotels in Hebei are generally inflexible; I've encountered similar situations in Xiong'an, Langfang, and Tangshan."

"The overall experience of this stay far exceeded expectations and must be praised. The hotel is strategically located, with many restaurants and convenience stores around, and there is no need to go far for food and shopping. "Staying at the Zeqian Hotel (Hetou Old Street Branch) is super convenient! After exploring Hetou Old Street, you can just walk back to the hotel while enjoying the night views and then relax. The room layout here is quite novel and spotless. I particularly loved the artistic design on the wall above the bed. The chairs were comfy, perfect for chatting or using your phone. "Due to unforeseen circumstances, we ended up deciding to visit Tangshan during the Qingming Festival. After browsing hotels on Trip.com, the Manhattan caught my eye. However, given that it was a holiday, the price increase lowered its overall appeal for me. If it were typically 400-500 yuan a night, I would give it a five-star rating. Let's talk about the positives. I booked through Trip.com and specified my preferences (hoping for a non-corner, quiet room). The online response was that they would see what they could do upon arrival. Ultimately, I was given a relatively quiet room on the 17th floor (out of what I think are 22 floors). It was a king-size bed room, and the overall environment was nice and clean. However, the air conditioning wasn't working, and coupled with the dry climate, after discussing it with staff, they provided an electric fan, which made the nights a bit more bearable. The breakfast was plentiful; if I had traveled during a non-holiday period, the breakfast score would be even higher. One male staff member left a particularly deep impression on me. He spoke softly, had a kind expression, handled things calmly, and was very keen to introduce the hotel's features. It's a shame I don't remember his name…"
