First, the hotel picked me up at the ferry dock by their own boat, which really helped me relax after a tiring journey. When I arrived, everything felt very new furniture and very big room—especially the bathroom—and the whole place was very clean. One thing I really appreciated was how quiet it was, so I could sleep very well. The owner is also very kind and helped arrange the trips I wanted to go on. I originally booked for just 2–3 nights, but ended up staying for a full 7 days.

We really loved this beautiful, authentic hotel. The manager was wonderful and assisted us with everything we needed. He arranged a transfer to the Abu Simbel Temple. Since we had a very early departure, he kindly provided us with a takeaway breakfast and also prepared it for us an hour earlier on the day of our flight. We are very grateful for this. About the hotel: This is a historic building that belonged to a Nubian family. In the 1960s, it was converted into a hotel. The restaurant in the lounge area offers a wonderful view of the Nile. Across the street is a path lined with souvenir shops. We also had a delicious dinner at the hotel restaurant. The most important thing is the quiet room. You can relax and sleep wonderfully. We initially stayed in a very cozy and lovely two-story room (bed on the second floor, bath downstairs), but it was very hot and stuffy at night, and the air conditioner vibrated loudly when running, making it difficult to sleep, so we had to turn it off that night. We then moved to another room, which consisted of two areas—a lobby and a bedroom. It was very spacious and cool. In the area, you can rent a kayak or boat, buy a boat ticket, cruise down the Nile, visit a crocodile farm, or go camel riding. Overall, we really enjoyed it. It was one of the few places where it was truly cozy, peaceful, and quiet. We want to come back again.

Very friendly and responsible front desk! Because the driver temporarily increased the price, the front desk has always cared about our safety, and even negotiated with the driver for a long time. Finally, we sent a car to pick us up to the hotel. The scenery is beautiful. There is a market nearby. It is a collection of eating, drinking and playing. There is no problem in staying for two or three days. Wash the soul. The front desk can also help to book boats, sailing boats and cars, the price is very affordable! The only thing to note is that there is a group of dogs next to the hotel. People who are afraid of dogs recommend staying in a river view room, because they will stay in the main hotel, there is a very cute kitten! If you live in a common room, you must often pass by the road in the dog stronghold, which is a very test of courage.

I heard that the more prosperous part of Aswan is the east bank of the Nile, but this is a small hotel in a Nubian village on the west bank of the Nile. If you have a chartered car, you can stay in the village to experience the Nubian culture (there is a section of road under construction into the village, it is not easy to walk and it is very dark at night). You can see the sunrise over the Nile when you go out in the morning. It is very quiet and the small village is also very beautiful. The service is particularly good. The breakfast (some bread, yogurt and boxed juice) will be packed for the morning meeting. There is an independent bathroom, but the light is dim, so I lowered my expectations. It is normal and good conditions in Egypt. At least it is clean, the bath water is hot, and it is not a problem to sleep in clothes for a night.

If you choose this Guest House you'll live among Nubian houses on the west side of Elephantine Island. You commute to Assuan by ferry (about 10 minutes' walk away from Labib guest house, 15 EGP per ride), but your host, Mohammed, will send a boat to meet you when you initially arrive and even arrange a taxi transfer from the airport ( the latter for a fee). What I liked best about the house was the deck, where you have breakfast or can watch the sunset. You sit under a reef roof in the open and have a view of the Nile and the desert hills opposite you. Very calming and quiet! The room I was in was clean with basic furniture and amenities. Mohammed was very helpful and arranged for me to go to Abu Simbel in a minibus and to Luxor in a taxi at short notice. He has good connections to the tourist industry and is very helpful. His wife is equally friendly and welcoming. If you have time, I recommend a boat ride across the Nile and a short walk up to the ruins of the Coptic monastery and a subsequent visit of the Botanical Garden situated on a nearby island. I also enjoyed visiting the open-air weaving workshop near Labib Guesthouse. The Mövenpick Resort on Elephantine Island, about 20 minutes' walk away, on the other hand, shows you a completely different world with carefully manicured lawns, flowers and staff in uniform!

The hotel we booked to pick us up from Cairo to Aswan was charged $55. It took about 40 minutes to drive. I felt cheated. In fact, you can call a taxi directly from the airport. It is not as chaotic as it is said on the Internet. The breakfast in the hotel is not bad. The fried egg is very delicious. There is a waiter who is Nubian. He is very nice to me. He will take the initiative to help me carry things and remind me to pay attention to the steps. It is the most sincere and friendly service I feel in my trip to Egypt. Unfortunately, I forgot to ask his name. When I left, I wanted to find him to tip but couldn't find him.

Hot shower and the best view but 100% of the credit for our amazing time goes, to helma the manager and his staff especially khalid who was there for everything we needed , Helmy went above and beyond driving us to the sights for less than.a taxi , but the most amazing was. Feluka boats to take you to ancient temples and delicious waterside cafes and historic islands this hotel might look nothing.but if you want the true Nubian experience of aswanth8s 8s the place for you ,basic breakfast of bread honey eggs and cheese with tomatoes for the price amazing ,, Linda and ivy uk x

The most important thing in this hotel is not food, though it is perfect, and not even a stunning view from the windows - sincere location and readiness of Ahmed Shauki - the manager and host of the hotel, to help its guests in everything - that 's what makes Villa Misk the best!

This small hotel is located in a small village. We went there in February. It was dry and cold. The air conditioner can only cool. The wind from the door is very strong. The panoramic room has a balcony on one side, which is even colder. Sara at the front desk is more professional. You can ask her if you need anything, but she starts work at 10 am. The one in charge of the bar is very unreliable. The kettle for hot water we were served was not washed. The kettle that had milk in it made the water all mushy. The food hygiene is completely unreliable. He also forced us to sell two bottles of water. We didn't order them, but he gave them to us directly, so we thought they were for breakfast. Finally, he showed us the price list and asked us for money. I said you didn't tell us, and he said you didn't ask. The first stop in Aswan has a very bad impression!

The facilities are old, but I decided to stay there because I had to get up at 4am to take part in the Abu Simbel Temple tour. The doorman called a taxi for me to get to the airport for a surprisingly cheap price, so that was a relief.
