"Driving from Mangshi, the mountain roads were a bit challenging, but the night was absolutely worth it. Next time, I'll definitely stay an extra day. The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming, and the two Lisu women helping out were also wonderful.
The room was clean and tidy. The shower and toilet in our room were both very smart, and the room temperature was comfortable.
That evening, we had beef hot pot. The owner prepared lots of wild vegetables and homemade rose wine for us. The whole grains and rice noodles for breakfast the next day were also delicious. Baihualing Mountain was recently closed, and the classic 5km hiking route was no longer available. The owner even helped us arrange a guide to take us into the mountains, where we saw many plants and animals we wouldn't normally have the chance to see, and even picked some termite mushrooms.
If there is a paradise on earth, this must be it. I hope the owner and her three cats and one dog are happy and continue living this idyllic life. I also hope we have the chance to come back again!"
