"This is a more than realistic assessment, at least during my family's stay at this hotel. Upon arrival, everything seemed better than it actually was. Firstly, there are so many children with camps here this year; they're like locusts everywhere: screaming in the pool, taking up all the free sun loungers by the sea, and running wild in the restaurant, grabbing all the food and tables, and running through the hallways at night. On our last day, we were sitting at reception waiting for the transfer, and young people were running around the lobby, throwing a ball, and being very loud, but apparently, children are the flowers of life. The very fact that large groups with children are staying here is alarming; okay, one group of about 20 people is fine, but three or four groups at a time is clearly too much. Secondly, the Russian language isn't so good here (only one elderly woman speaks Russian). Everyone else is young, and no one understands Russian. To be on the safe side, you should only come here if you have a good knowledge of English or German. We chose a room with a sea view. It has two separate rooms with a kitchenette. It's excellent and has everything you need for a comfortable stay: a balcony with a stunning sea view, and a table and chairs on the balcony. One room also has a kitchenette with a stove, dishwasher, and dishes, a pull-out sofa bed, and a TV. The second room has a large bed, a table, a mirror, a smaller TV, and a clothes dryer. The bathroom has a washing machine, toilet, and shower. Soap, shampoo, and hair conditioner (their conditioner is excellent) were replenished only once over the seven days, and it's a good thing we brought our own extra bar of soap, as we ran out, apparently because we wash our hands too often. Towels are changed daily, and bed linens are changed every five days. Cleaning is poor (a common occurrence in Bulgaria): one day they'll wash the floors, the next they'll just sweep them. The furniture (TV stand, desk, dressers, balcony table) hasn't been dusted at all for a week. Meals - we chose breakfast and dinner. Breakfast is just like breakfast, with plenty of everything: pancakes, fried and boiled eggs, omelettes, fresh vegetables (tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers), sausages, bacon, tea, and coffee. Complimentary water and draft drinks (water, cola, Fanta, Sprite, cherry drink) were available for breakfast. For those who prefer cereal, there's milk, yogurt, cereal, dried fruit, and seeds. The dinners were generally good, too: two soups to choose from, side dishes, vegetables, and meat/fish, but we felt there wasn't enough meat or fish to choose from. Every evening there were different fruits (peaches, nectarines, apricots, melon, bananas, watermelon, and pineapple) and two kinds of ice cream for the kids. For dessert, there were various cakes cut into small pieces. The only free drink was water; everything else had to be purchased. The internet router only worked at reception and near the large pool. Elsewhere, the internet was either very weak or didn't work at all. Spa - Lilia gives a very good Ayurvedic massage with healing pouches and..."

Since the management of the Grand Hotel - Pomorie has not responded to any of our emails or our request for a refund promised upon our departure. Indeed, we had booked and paid for our stay from October 13th to October 24th, 2025, but due to a sudden rise in my blood pressure, I was rushed to the hospital where an abnormal rise was found due to the sulfur contained in the hotel's thermal pool We presented the doctor's note noting the rise in pressure and accepted by the hotel. We then had to pack on the 19th Oct, book flight back home. On the day of our departure, the Desk Manager asked for my IBAN account number, just to lull me into a false sense of security, wasn't it? "Αυτό το ξενοδοχείο είναι αρκετά αξιόλογο κοντά στην παραλία. Το πάρκινγκ είναι πολύ δύσκολο, υπάρχει μόνο δωρεάν χώρος στάθμευσης σε περισσότερα από 100 μέτρα. Μπορείτε να παρκάρετε δίπλα στο ξενοδοχείο για την EU 7.50 ανά ημέρα. Το δωμάτιο είναι πολύ όμορφο και καθαρό, έτσι θα μπορούσε να είναι ένα μεγάλο ξενοδοχείο αν είχαν άλλο προσωπικό. Στο ρεστοράν μιλούν αγγλικά, πουθενά αλλού. Αυτό δεν είναι ο λόγος για τα 2 αστέρια, ο λόγος είναι ότι είναι τρομερά άβολα. Είσαι σαν να είσαι χαρούμενος που κάθεσαι στο ξενοδοχείο τους!"

"Great hotel but in the wrong place. We were informed some facilities would not be available as the season was coming to an end.We had a excellent welcome by reception staff given a good good pack as we had arrived late.We were shown to our room within 10 mins of arriving. The room was excellent spotless clean,large comfortable bed and excellent bathroom. The next morning we were surprised but pleased to see we had been upgraded to pool view. The next two days were very enjoyable, weather inclement but good food and excellent company of other guests. Then it all went downhill!!! On the Friday we found out there was a weekend convention taking place. From Friday evening meal to Sunday lunch the Hotel was taken over by a swarm of locusts and a battle for a table commenced. We decided to go out of the Hotel to eat on the Saturday but found nothing was opened. After the convention ended dining facilities got back to normality but the quality and variety of food on offer definitely deteriorated and the Hotel lost its sparkle. Thanks to follow guests we were able to enjoy our last few days but was glad the holiday had come to an end. We grudgingly give this beautiful hotel a3 star rating mainly due the fabulous housekeeping and reception staff. Sorry but wrong hotel in wrong place at wrong time of year."

"We were this hotel one night with my husband and child and I have to say it was the worst hotel I have ever been! Hotel staff was very unfriendly and you have to pay extra if you want to use beach infront of the hotel. Furthermore, after we went home we noticed that there was bedbucks in our clothes so the painfulnes of the trip didn't end to the hotel. Don't go this hotel!!!!"
