"Nice small place, with nice people trying their best. You have to ask and then go with what they have. A bit pricy, but fine surroundings, and great to have a look to Etna from your room, we had one of the suites and found it nice although either cold or warm, and as said you had to ask even for a kettle and some cups, and then bring you own coffee Nice small town nearby (1-2 KM walk) with some nice restaurants."

"Stayed here for a destination wedding that was about 10 minutes away, VERY clean older B&B. Loved the pictures and antiques. There is no lift and quite a few stairs so carrying bags up was a little bit hard. In a very safe and pituresque neighborhood. Would recommend stay here if you have a car as there are no close taxis or Ubers (they come from Taromina and will charge you). Not sure sure what towns or activities are around (town very quiet) and we only stayed the two nights."

Breakfast itself was a highlight—beautifully prepared with fresh local ingredients and something new each day. Our room was very clean and spacious, with both a balcony and a private back terrace, perfect for relaxing. Nino is a professional, welcoming host and a great communicator. He made us feel completely at home and entertained us with amazing stories from his global experiences. A special mention to Christina, who greeted us daily with a warm, charming smile and was always attentive. She truly went above and beyond—a credit to the holiday experience and someone who makes a real difference to your stay. Highly recommended—thank you Nino and Christina for a truly memorable stay!"

"We stayed at Donna Carmela for one night and had a very pleasant experience overall. The hotel is set in a peaceful and quiet surrounding, which adds to its charm and makes it ideal for a relaxing short stay. From the moment we arrived, the staff were courteous, attentive, and highly professional, making us feel genuinely welcome. Our room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, providing everything we needed for a restful night. The only minor drawback was the proximity to the railway line, as trains passing by could occasionally be heard. However, this did not significantly affect our rest, and we still managed to sleep well through the night. Breakfast was enjoyable, offering a mix of buffet items alongside freshly prepared dishes from the menu. We tried the omelette and the poached eggs, both of which were excellent and clearly made with care. Despite the slight noise from nearby trains, our stay was comfortable and enjoyable thanks to the excellent service, quality food, and relaxing atmosphere. We would happily recommend Donna Carmela for a short and pleasant getaway."

"The hotel left an outstanding impression on us. As a family, we travel frequently, but we have rarely experienced such a high level of hospitality. The son of the family (Andrea) seemed to be available for guests almost 24 hours a day—he recommended restaurants to us in the evening, drove us into town, and even offered to pick us up later that night. The entire team was exceptionally friendly and incredibly attentive. In our view, it is hard to imagine better care for guests. The property itself is new and very well maintained. It is clear that the concept of the hotel is designed to keep the number of guests small (a maximum of 24), allowing them to provide truly personalized, 100% attentive service. "Μέναμε εδώ μόνο 2 νύχτες (δεν είναι λυπηρό), στην εκδήλωση στην περιοχή. Υπέροχο θέρετρο με πράσινο, μακριά από σύγχυση, που αποτελείται από δεκάδες ανεξάρτητα διαμερίσματα, τα οποία έχουν προσεκτικά μεταφερθεί σε κάθε λεπτομέρεια, πολύ ευρύχωρο και άνετο. Υπήρχε η εξοπλισμένη γωνία μαγειρικής, με τα προϊόντα πρωινού, τον κλιματισμό και το ταξίδι με ένα μερικούς μήνες παιδιού, που μας πρόσφερε επίσης ένα άνετο κρεβάτι κατασκήνωσης."

"Disappointing cold and unwelcoming. On arrival I wondered what on earth I had done. Pulling up the run down streets, filled with rubbish, and the b and b had its shutters all shut- never saw the open. We went off and explored Taormina which was stunning and arrived back in the evening. The rooms are spacious and very clean but cold and unwelcoming. The old metal beds are rock hard and uncomfy. The TV tiny, and without the nice touch of other b and bs with streaming services available. The area had some nice bars and restaurants but wouldn’t recommend it as a place to stay, even though we could easily visit lots of areas from there- there are much nicer places to stay."

The host (Nino) is especially helpful with nothing too much trouble. His breakfasts are varied, incorporating local produce and Sicilian authenticity. A magnificent way to start the day on the outside rooftop veranda overlooking the Mediterranean coast. Close to restaurants, across the road from the water with views to Etna. The accommodation is clean, spacious and bright with local sculptures and an array of interesting art. A winner not to be overlooked."

"What an incredible place! A true oasis nestled in a lemon grove with stunning views of Mount Etna, surrounded by vibrant flowers and lush greenery. "We have been in this apartment for 9 days, quite recent structure and nice small but beautiful apartments, things to improve are for those who want to eat and dine often in the apartment until there is 1 oven, there is no microwave, There is no freezer.. there are induction plane with 2 fires, refrigerator, and stove, beautiful pool with space to take the sun equipped with free parasol beds for everyone.. For those who choose breakfast included is a buffet there is a little of everything time from 8 to 10 advice to find everything go soon.. Mrs. Marcella is fantastic available at every request and kind We all in sum have been good ...we just have made a lunch in the apartment.. The rest out between lunch beaches and various pizza restaurants at night Parking outside the stall on the road is usually just in front if not in the surroundings.. "
