"This is my second time in Quanzhou, and I chose to stay in the old town at Atour Light. The location is peaceful yet central, and I could easily hail a 'Xiaobai car' (a local taxi). It was also very convenient to walk to places like Hua Lane, Dongxi Street, and Guanyue Temple. The hotel isn't particularly tall, but the room space was excellent, quiet, and comfortable. Check-in was quick, and the room was clean and tidy. The showerhead was a bit worn, but thankfully it still worked. Perhaps a bit more effort could be put into facility maintenance, especially since the hotel is still quite new. The room's air conditioning could go down to 16 degrees Celsius, which was fantastic for the scorching summer heat – it truly beats many other hotels. The powerful AC ensured I slept wonderfully during my two-night, three-day stay. Atour's bedding truly lives up to its reputation. The front desk staff, both the young men and women, were incredibly warm and energetic. They greeted me proactively and helped me store and heat my food – thank you so much for your help! Also, the laundry and drying service was a lifesaver for a traveler like me. Thank you for returning my clean clothes every morning after I woke up! The hotel lobby was generally clean and spacious, and any requests made to the front desk via the room phone were followed up on very quickly. I can honestly say this was an unexpectedly perfect stay, and I would gladly choose Atour Light again next time I'm in Quanzhou. Even though I encountered a few minor issues during my stay, the duty manager quickly responded and arranged a late check-out for me. I'm very grateful to her! Before I even checked in, I received a call from the front desk, who proactively arranged my room and provided me with taxi pickup locations. This was incredibly thoughtful. I've stayed at many hotels where they don't even manage to do this in advance. Clearly, communication is key. A few small suggestions: 1. The gym had no power or air conditioning, which made it unusable when I wanted to exercise. 2. The room's mirror only had overhead lighting, no front mirror light or makeup mirror, which was inconvenient for applying makeup. 3. The chair provided in the room was significantly higher than the desk, so it wasn't a great fit. 4. During check-in, there was no discussion about breakfast or its charges; perhaps there's room for improvement in upselling. Our little one, who's just under two and a half, looked forward to playing in the pool every single day and would spend the entire afternoon there. When we arrived at the B&B's parking lot, a staff member immediately came to help us with our luggage, which was a huge relief, especially dragging bags in Quanzhou's heat. Upon check-in, they even provided a baby toothbrush and slippers, which thrilled our little one! I had a scooter accident, and when I came back, they thoughtfully applied iodine to my wound – I was so touched! Every time we left, they'd ask if we needed extra bottles of water. "Five-star recommendation for Quanzhou Lushih Homestay, the most delightful stay of my Quanzhou trip! The location is absolutely perfect, tucked away in a small alley off West Street. It's a two or three-minute walk directly to the East and West Pagodas of Kaiyuan Temple, and stepping out, you're surrounded by authentic local snacks. It's a rare find—peaceful amidst the hustle and bustle; closing the courtyard gate completely shields you from the street noise. Converted from a standalone Southern Fujian courtyard, the design is gentle yet refined. Lush greenery fills the small courtyard with an amazing atmosphere. The rooftop terrace is a hidden gem for photos, offering a 270-degree direct view of the twin pagodas. You can watch the sunset in the evening and capture stunning shots of the ancient city lights at night. The room was impeccably clean, the latex mattress was soft and comfortable for a good night's sleep. Smart toilet, hot water, and toiletries were all well-equipped, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring an undisturbed night's rest. The butler service was meticulous and heartwarming. Upon check-in, we received a hand-drawn guide to the ancient city's hidden gems, along with recommendations for local secret eateries, and any requests were met with super-fast responses. The common areas are elegantly decorated, with a tea corner, a small intangible cultural heritage exhibition hall, and you can even experience writing wax-sealed letters to your future self—thoughtful details are everywhere. It's a godsend for self-driving tourists, as it comes with an underground parking lot, directly solving the parking problem in the old city. Breakfast features local old-brand mianxian hu (vermicelli paste) with vinegar-marinated pork, and traditional pastries are complimentary for afternoon tea. The value for money is exceptional, suitable for couples, girlfriends, and families alike. I will definitely stay at Lushih again on my next visit to Quanzhou!"

"Cleanliness: The room cleanliness was excellent. I'm a bit of a clean freak, but apart from some glue marks and traces on the walls, everything else was fine. No dust or hair at all. I can honestly say it's the cleanest room I've stayed in during my many trips to Quanzhou. I've been to Quanzhou many times and stayed in numerous places, but your cleanliness is truly impeccable – at least within the guest rooms. However, the corridor from the elevator to the room had an indescribable odor (2nd floor, it was slightly better when I moved to the 3rd floor). It smelled like a stale, stuffy scent combined with an air freshener, creating a strange, hard-to-describe smell, possibly due to lack of ventilation for too long. I'd recommend prioritizing ventilation. But this was the first time I was assigned a room that hadn't been fully cleaned – there was still one pillow on the bed without a pillowcase, and I wasn't informed. Only after I asked did the staff member tell me they were short on pillowcases that day. I could have waited, so I found it a bit puzzling. Facilities: The room lighting wasn't great. The curtain control switch was a bit odd; I couldn't see the curtain's status when I pressed the switch. I love bright rooms, but no matter how I pressed the buttons, I couldn't just close the sheer curtain. In the end, I had to close both. On the 2nd floor, the window view was entirely a concrete wall, and on the 3rd floor, it was someone's balcony. Next time, it would be better to have the sheer curtain drawn, as seeing a concrete wall immediately upon entering isn't a good impression. I know residential buildings are close in Quanzhou, but this could definitely be optimized. Soundproofing was poor, truly. At 2 AM, just as I was getting sleepy and about to go to bed, I heard the sound of a faucet turning on next door, and it wasn't quiet. It felt like it was right next to my head. The door was heavy, making me think the soundproofing would be good, but it wasn't. I could clearly hear when the neighbors left and what they were saying. Sleeping earplugs: These would be great to have in the room. There was plenty of very hot water, and the toilet worked well. These are excellent advantages of the room. The bed was firm, which I really liked. The projector focus could be adjusted a bit more as it was a little blurry. Having a subscription to TV channels was great; I enjoyed watching shows. Environment: It's very close to Zhongshan Middle Road, and the location is the best I've stayed in so far. I feel it's even better than Lushu. I really like Huaxiang, so no complaints there. Service: I'd like to commend the staff member; her attitude was excellent. The afternoon tea drinks were also delicious, and the scones were warm, fragrant, and very tasty. Thumbs up. The scones actually helped to offset my annoyance about discovering the missing pillowcase. I stayed up late, hoping to sleep in a bit later, but the soundproofing was truly bad. Regarding the front desk staff, I only saw them during check-in and check-out; I didn't encounter them at other times. Overall, it could be optimized further, but everything else was okay."

"As always, I love Orange Hotels! The lobby is spacious and bright, with free-flow coffee and its aroma filling the entire space. They also offer fresh orange and lemon water, as well as sweet, fresh oranges to try. The breakfast is quite extensive, featuring both local Quanzhou specialties and a good mix of Chinese and Western flavors. The bedding is very comfortable, allowing for a quick sleep. Every corner is spotlessly clean, and I appreciate the smart flush toilet and curtains. I'm very satisfied with the shower water pressure, which is something I always pay attention to. There's also a gym with two treadmills and a separate laundry area. The front desk staff are incredibly helpful and friendly; you can ask them anything you need to know. Plus, the famous Si Dan Ginger Duck is right across the street, and it's absolutely delicious!"
