"Specifically came to Suzhou's Dongshan for the white jade loquats this weekend, but opted not to stay at Dongshan Hotel this time. Instead, we drove an hour back to the city to stay at Wu Palace. It was my first time here, and our room was on the first floor. The lobby is on the third floor, so we had to take the elevator down to the first floor, then navigate a bit to find our room. With two elderly people, it was a little inconvenient. However, my family unanimously agreed that the hotel's ambiance is quite unique, and decided that next time we visit Suzhou, we'll definitely choose Wu Palace again (they specifically told me to book a room on the 3rd floor)😁. It's loquat season now, and the two loquat trees in the courtyard are perfectly in theme. Amidst the white walls and black tiles, loquats hang from the branches. I woke up early to snap a few photos📸 of the loquat trees. Being under the trees, everything felt so fresh🤤."

"I chose this place last minute, and I really liked the description and the good reviews. I booked one night thinking I'd extend my stay, but it was so popular I couldn't! So, I immediately booked it for a third night instead. It really lives up to being designer-decorated, with huge windows offering amazing views. Even though I don't usually like taking pictures, I couldn't resist snapping a few here. The decor and facilities are very new and clean, and they thoughtfully provided disposable bathtub and toilet covers. The big projector was a hit with my child. I loved that the hotel wasn't too big; it felt quiet, comfortable, and cozy. I didn't realize until I arrived that the location is excellent – everything is close by. They even provide electric scooters, which I absolutely loved. A big thank you to the lovely female and male staff who even helped me with my luggage!"

"This hotel boasts an excellent location, right above a commercial street with a subway station conveniently located just outside. There's a charming pedestrian bridge next to the subway, perfect for photos and adding to the overall ambiance. The hotel is also incredibly close to a major shopping mall; cross the bridge, and you're at Vientiane World – truly a superb spot! Service: The staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive, genuinely caring for every guest and resolving issues remarkably quickly. Ambiance: The Japanese-inspired decor creates a fantastic atmosphere. The rooms are spotlessly clean, wonderfully comfortable, and tidy. Staying here was a truly delightful experience. "We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Andu! A beautiful hotel in a very central location. Through a small entrance you reach the second floor, where you find a peaceful oasis of calm. Beautiful, quiet rooms with a very comfortable bed, a great shower and a fridge stocked with water and soft drinks. The breakfast was also well taken care of. What really made the difference was the service: extremely friendly and helpful staff, including assistance with arranging transport. Highly recommended!"

"Great location and comfortable stay. The space is clean and modern. The best experience is the comfort of the bed and pillows which provides a very good rest. The height of our room makes the space much bigger. The room design is great. We wondered about the need for separation of the toilet and shower though which made it a little inconvenient. Apart from that, the stay is great, quiet and restful, while just a few steps away from shopping and food."

"This stay was absolutely fantastic! The moment I walked into the room, I noticed a subtle, pleasant scent, and the bedding was as soft as my own at home. The shower had great water pressure, which was really comfortable. The front desk staff were very efficient. I genuinely recommend this place! "Despite its 'State Guesthouse' reputation, this 5-star hotel, costing over 800 yuan a night, utterly failed to impress me. Here are my grievances: 1. During my three-day, two-night stay, there were no welcome fruits upon arrival, nor any parting gift upon departure. Before I left, no one even bothered to ask if I enjoyed my stay; they just took back the room card. The upgrade from an 'Yingjie King Room' to a first-floor garden room was something I had to request myself (which later proved to be a mistake). I arrived at 4 PM on a weekday and asked about the garden room upgrade. The front desk said the room wasn't ready. I said, 'No problem, I'll just leave my bags here and pick up the room card after dinner.' How can a 5-star hotel not have a clean room ready at 4 PM on a weekday? 2. When I finally entered the garden room that evening, there was a noticeable odor, so I immediately opened the door to air it out. Then I discovered small flying insects. I strongly advise caution for anyone considering a first-floor room. 3. Housekeeping doesn't seem to vacuum or sweep. One morning, while doing my makeup, I accidentally dropped the cap of my eyebrow pencil. I was in a hurry to leave, assuming the cleaner would pick it up, so I didn't worry about it. When I returned in the afternoon, the trash had been emptied, but my pencil cap wasn't on the counter. I had to bend down to look for it, and it was right under the sink, next to the wastebasket (see picture). The cap isn't short; was the cleaner just completely oblivious? 4. The hotel seems to be undergoing renovations. I noticed at least three areas where the ground was quite dirty. What annoyed me most was the lack of separation for pedestrians and vehicles. Cars were parked on both sides of the road, forcing me to constantly watch out for moving vehicles while walking."

"I absolutely loved the ambiance, from the building's exterior downstairs all the way to the elevator lobby and even inside the elevator itself – the decor was fantastic! The room also had a very retro feel, exactly like the pictures. My budget was a bit tight this trip, but next time I'm in Suzhou, I'll definitely stay here again. I'd love to try a different room or even one of their suites. The front desk staff, particularly Xiao Wang, provided excellent service, and the cleaning staff were super too! Yesterday, we were shooting wedding photos until past midnight and didn't finish, so of course, I couldn't wake up this morning. Then I still got up, put on makeup, and went to Humble Administrator's Garden for lunch. I ended up coming back late, past the 2 PM check-out time. I arrived back at the room around 1:50 PM, but the door wouldn't open. I happened to run into one of the cleaning staff and asked what was wrong. They explained that my room card had expired, which was why it wouldn't open, and then helped me get the door open. I quickly packed my luggage and ended up checking out around 2:10 PM. It was truly amazing, amazing, amazing! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻"

"This hotel exceeded our expectations. The location is just as convenient – steps from the metro station. The property is a little older, but still very clean and comfortable. For the price per night, it's great value. The service was the standout. Front desk staff helped us book a Didi when we were struggling with the app. On checkout, they gave us three small packs of local snacks as a parting gift, which was such a warm touch. One small note: The breakfast buffet leans heavily local, with fewer international options compared to other Hamptons we have stayed at in China. Still tasty, but if you prefer a wider spread, this might feel a bit limited. Overall, a wonderful stay."
