"This 2-day stay was even better than the first! The hotel is well-located for exploring Berlin, and the rooms vary by budget. I chose a standard room, which was perfectly fine and comfortable. A major plus is that they really respect your requests – I asked for a double bed and a view of the Ku'damm, and they delivered! The hotel staff are generally very competent, pleasant, and professional. The hotel lobby and surrounding areas are also very beautiful and well-decorated. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. "Very smart hotel in an amazing location making the whole of Berlin easily accessible by U-Bahn or indeed on foot. Public areas including the lobby are furnished to very high standard. Facilities including the well appointed gym and large thermal suite were very good, especially for a city hotel. For me the only drawbacks were the service levels , there was no greeting when you arrived back despite their often being a doorman around reception , breakfast although in its offering was good was a rather chaotic affair you have to find your own table and then get your own hot drinks which resulted in long lines at the coffee machines , other properties of this standard don’t usually operate in this way. Overall a good option and would definitely stay again however."

"Nothing to complain about, the welcome was super, and the staff were very pleasant and attentive. Everything was exactly as pictured online. The room was very clean, and housekeeping came by every morning. The hotel is pretty well located; in 5 minutes you can walk to the S-bahn station, and in 20 minutes you're already in the city center. I also had dinner one evening at the Portofino restaurant, and it was just as enjoyable: welcoming staff, excellent service, fast and efficient, and to top it all off, it was delicious! I had a great stay at this hotel, I recommend it!"

"The room itself was comfortable and spacious, but the bathroom doors squeaked so loudly they acted as an alarm clock for everyone. We initially booked without breakfast, wanting to decide later. The reception said it wouldn't be an issue. The next morning, we decided to have breakfast, but were turned away because we hadn't provided a credit card. Despite asking the night before, we were not informed that we needed to do so. So, my wife and child waited at the counter while I went back to the room for my Visa card. The payment terminal didn't accept it. I stayed downstairs with the child, and my wife went up to get cash... Then, after finding a table, we were finally allowed to eat for €19 per person (child free). Upon request, the table was cleared of the previous guest's mess and dishes. Even though it was a busy period, which I completely understand, there was no staff visible apart from the access control. The food was good, but the area was extremely untidy. Only after some time did staff appear, the situation calmed down, and things were tidied up and refilled. The pool area was nice, but the communication was contradictory: signs in the room said to take room towels with you, but then there were towels available in the pool area that you were explicitly told not to take back to the room. So, on the first evening, we used the room towels, which I only managed to get exchanged by speaking to the cleaning lady in the hallway the next morning. She herself was impeccable. However, communication and organization left much to be desired. I'm still not clear on how a simple towel exchange is actually supposed to work. I could have ordered an interim cleaning via a QR code. Smoking is only allowed outside the building, and there's exactly one bench where you won't get wet if it rains. I'm still debating whether that's non-smoker-friendly or smoker-unfriendly. A 0.3 L beer from the foyer fridge costs €5, and it seemed to be refilled rather sporadically. All in all: the hotel has its advantages and comfort, but the 4-star rating set expectations that unfortunately weren't really met. The child loved the pool, and that's my personal highlight."

"An excellent hotel for the price. If you plan to explore the area on foot, this is the ideal choice. It is close to the train station, conveniently located, and features nice rooms. For Europe, the price is very affordable. You can book with confidence—I highly recommend it for a comfortable stay. You just need to go by walk. A lot of great places you can see just go walk around the hotel."

"My experience at this hotel was truly memorable. It was a truly wonderful hotel with a quiet space, a special lounge, a great location, and attention to detail in the renovation. To be honest, I was prepared for it to be a renovated prison, but it was a truly wonderful hotel. The breakfast also had the same items as those served in the bakery, and I went to buy some on my last day. I would like to stay here again."

"Let's start with the positives: The location is excellent, right next to the U2 subway station and very close to the U6. If you have the Berlin WelcomeCard, getting around by subway and bus is super convenient and saves you a lot of walking. There's a Rewe supermarket across the street with a great selection of food, and their salad bar and hot food counter are both excellent. Now for the negatives: The staff were arrogant and rude. I waited in line to check in for almost 20 minutes when a white man just walked up and stood next to the queue, not bothering to line up. After the person in front of me finished, I walked up to the front desk with him. He said the balding male staff member at the desk had called him over. I told the male receptionist that everyone was queuing and should be served in order, but he insisted he had called that specific white man. At this point, another front desk was free, so I didn't argue and moved to that one. This is where it got even more interesting. When I tried to pay the deposit in cash, the female receptionist said they don't accept cash. Isn't it illegal in any country to refuse legal tender? And who says everyone has a credit card? I didn't want any trouble, so I pulled out my credit card, but for some reason, it wouldn't go through. Finally, this female receptionist said her colleague could accept cash, and indeed, the colleague came over and took the money. But if I hadn't asked, they wouldn't have even given me a receipt. For a hotel costing over 2,000 euros a night, they don't provide bottled water unless you're a Hilton Silver member or higher. The coffee is also terrible instant coffee, the worst among the four hotels I stayed at on this Europe trip. The facilities are old but reasonably well-maintained. In short, besides the location, there are no redeeming qualities."

"This is definitely my top hotel recommendation in Berlin. The train station is right downstairs, making it super convenient to get around to all the attractions. The Natural History Museum is just a minute's walk away. Plus, there are three different supermarkets nearby – Rewe, dm, and Bio – catering to all your shopping needs. The room facilities are complete and brand new, the air conditioning works great, and the breakfast spread is fantastic. Most importantly, the hotel staff are incredibly friendly and enthusiastic, which made my trip to Berlin an absolutely wonderful experience!"
