Four of us stayed at the River Kwai Resotel resort over the Christmas holiday. Our rooms were bungalow-style with a shared porch. The rooms were clean and well-maintained. The shower was very large and the amenities were adequate. They replenished the coffee/tea daily in addition to the waters. Even though other bungalows are very near, they do a great job of landscaping to block the views between them. Breakfast was ample. The restaurant is quite good, especially with its Thai offerings. They have 2 nice swimming pools. The one near reception is a smaller size while the one to the west of the main area is quite large. We enjoyed many swims. There are bikes available for use on grounds. They have some lounge chairs below at their dock. You can arrive by boat or car. The drive in is quite long and through a very rural area. It's quite amazing when you reach the end of the road and see this entire resort unfold. We spent some time and a little money at the neighboring Mon village. Walking up to the caves at the small, national park was also fun. Lots of up & down walking at the resort, too, as it's built into a steep, river valley hillside. Other than the bats at the cave, we didn't see much wildlife. There are a nice assortment of birds attracted to this resort area, however, and the morning serenade is lovely. They do have a small snack hut but the prices reflect that you are quite some distance from any competition. We all enjoyed our stay and do plan to return another time.

To be honest, we arrived with very mixed feelings as we have noted a number of negative reviews. However, we were totally positively surprised as we liked it very much. The Onsen River view villa was very nice with a stunning view on the river and the ”hot tub” for relaxation in the afternoon enjoying the view on the river and jungle. Also the Restaurant was very nice and much to our surprise with very acceptable and normal prices and not as it was stated in some reviews overprized, not at all. And the breakfast was fanstastic too, lots of choices. Overall the setting of this hotel, the natural environment and the hotel as such really made this an unforgettable experience.

I was very surprised from the pier to the hotel. I stayed for two days and the whole environment and atmosphere were very good. I was particularly impressed by several service staff. Except for the male waiter at dinner time who was not so surprised, the service in the lobby was particularly good. Staff There used to be a very enthusiastic male waiter during breakfast! Another small incident occurred. We bought a package that included lunch and dinner, but when we entered the restaurant, we were directly handed the menu to order, and we were charged extra! On the second night, we went to the restaurant earlier and found out that there was another buffet that was originally included in the price! But we didn’t understand the language, so I wanted to forget it! But a waitress tied a ponytail and took the initiative to come over and care about the dining situation. I told her it was okay, but then she saw my expression and continued to care, so I told her what happened! She was very proactive in helping with it after that! The hotel is also deeply sorry! So I was very satisfied with the whole trip! Will visit again!

The room is clean, the food is delicious, the breakfast is very good. The dinner menu is quite a bit. Soft bed, comfortable sleep There is a tub in the room, a semi-outdoor bathroom, and the service staff is very good. But the large swimming pool is a selling point and cannot be used because the pool is green. Maybe with a big pool maintenance is quite difficult Customers should be informed before checking in that if it rains a lot lately, they may not be able to use the pool. And many central areas lack maintenance such as swimming pools, golf courses, and bathrooms in various places. Quite dilapidated

Wow, what a great place. We decided to have a few days here before heading to Bangkok. The tents are great well looked after. All the staff are kind and friendly. Special mention to our guide for the 3 days here Lam, very good guide and always helpful

The attractions that we are impressed with and have been able to experience the atmosphere. Is Mida Hotel is a luxury beach hotel available. The interior of the room is decorated in a simple modern style that looks comfortable and the bathroom is clean and has all the amenities. There is a pool to play. And there are food arranged in a buffet style. There are both local food to food in a 5 star hotel I had the opportunity to travel because my sister was an employee in Mida Company. Me and my family are very impressed with that place. Good service, good conversation and natural Phil.

Gorgeous hotel by the river with swimming pool overlooking the River Kwai. Very friendly and kind staff, accommodating us for breakfast when little or a lot of guests onsite. Lots of animals around too, we counted 5 dogs, 8 puppies, a few cats and kittens plus 3 peacocks! Would definitely come back as such a beautiful resort in nature, 15 minutes away from a climbing crag called Turtles Home. Thank you for having us!
