El servicio es realmente bueno, personal muy amable y atento a los clientes, la oferta no es muy amplia y los precios, para la mayoría de los que frecuentan el área de la piscina, son demasiado elevados, una limonada en 240 $ el mismo precio que un mojito o una sangría, un pomo de agua de 500 ml 120 $, un sandwich de queso blanco en 450 $ 30 pesos más que un pollo frito, una cerveza importada en 200 $, mi modesto criterio que algo está mal, claro para el que tiene una fuente de ingreso alta la opción es buena, con la excepción del sol y el calor, para la gran mayoría de los Santaclareños imposible. Para pasar el día y consumiendo lo mínimo indispensable tiene que disponer de al menos 1500 $ por persona, con menos no se lo recomiendo.

The hotel and the room were beautiful and relaxing. The staff and waiters were friendly, prompt, professional, and attentive. Yanet and Yaumara made the experience much more enjoyable with all their efforts. The food had large portions and was great. It was a good atmosphere to dine. The pool had music playing and was a great size for many guests. The room was perfect for a romantic setting for any couple in separate houses. Would definitely go back again.

The road to the hotel was surprisingly good, and very picturesque when driving over the dam. The hotel looks a bit tired, but the room was fine and the bathroom very good. We had a view over the pool and lake, which was wonderful at sunrise. There was an interconnecting door with the next room which had absolutely no sound-proofing, so we could hear everything they said and the TV blaring into the early hours. There was entertainment outside until about 10.30pm which was very loud, but the guests seemed to enjoy it. The food was uninspiring but edible. We took the half-day boat trip to a pretty waterfall and it it had been warmer, we would have swum in the natural pool at the bottom. We were then taken to a lakeside restaurant and served a lovely lunch which included slow-cooked pork: it was the best pork I ate in the fortnight I was in Cuba. Apparently there is also a full-day boat trip to two waterfalls, so we plan to go back and do that one too - I recommend putting on your swimming costume under your clothes, as there is nowhere to change when you reach the waterfall. If you decide to walk up the side of the waterfall, be really careful as the rocks are slippery; I did fall over and came back with a couple of bruises as well as a slightly dented camera.

We were here for New Year’s Eve 2022 and the best thing about the hotel was the party on the roof terrace with live music and lots of locals there to say farewell to 2022. The hotel is in a beautiful building with gorgeous painted tiles, several courtyards and a lovely pool with plenty of sun loungers. Food however was not very good and we found the staff a little aloof. Views from the roof terrace are spectacular and if you decide to stay in Cienfuegos this may be the best choice. We were underwhelmed by Cienfuegos itself though.
