For dinner, the seafood buffet is highly recommended too. Especially with the relaxing seaside atmosphere at night. A standout dish is the restaurant’s roti bawang served with dhal curry, which many guests rave about. 🌿 Environment & Atmosphere The resort has been fully renovated, some with stunning sea views. The surroundings are peaceful, ideal for unwinding—whether it’s a morning walk along the beach or watching the sunset in the evening. "The homestay was beautiful, and the moment we opened the balcony, we were greeted with a stunning sea view. We arrived in the afternoon, and the tide was low at that time. We saw some tourists walking along the beach, so we joined them for a stroll. On the next day, just before checking out, we noticed that the tide had come in, and we even saw fishing boats heading out to sea. We were very satisfied with our stay."

"This is family and kids friendly hotel, everything is good and fine. But for breakfast for 3days stays is the same menu I'm expecting other kind of fried noodle or nasi goreng variation on different days. English breakfast also the same menu. The most enjoyable thing is the kids pool because that is the only kids activities can do other than going to the kids gym. But overall the hotel is clean and really quiet. So peaceful. And hotel management can plan on more beach activities like jet ski or surfing activities. The beach is wavy and not safe for recreational swimming."

"Had a wonderful 3D2N stay here as a couple. Overall, everything was great and we really enjoyed our time at the resort. There were plenty of complimentary activities available, which made the stay even more enjoyable and gave us lots to do without any additional cost. The resort was peaceful and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The staff were also friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The only downside is the location, as it is quite far from Kuantan town. However, if you’re looking for a quiet escape away from the city, this is actually a great choice. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would definitely consider coming back!"

"We had a lovely family stay at Holiday Villa Cherating. The resort has a relaxing atmosphere and is located right by the beach, which makes it perfect for a short family getaway. We especially enjoyed the swimming pool and the kids’ facilities — definitely a plus when travelling with children. The surroundings are peaceful and spacious, and it was nice to just relax and spend quality time with the family. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. "Staff are very friendly and do their best to help you. Beach is nice, golden sand, but came in October and the sandflies were very bad. Hotel says that they do sandfly control but still got bitten many times. Will try another area next time, not worth the red welts due to sandfly bites. Food in the beach restaurant was subpar. Stayed in Selangor Villa, it was quaint to experience a traditional Malay villa, but there are clear signs of aging - don’t expect fancy new kind of place. This is super aged villa."

"This was my first time vacationing here, and overall I’m extremely satisfied with the experience. The staff were very polite, warm, and sincere, providing attentive and thoughtful service throughout our stay. The unique beachfront scenery is even more stunning than in the photos. The food was above average, and we ended up having all our meals—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—at the hotel during our stay. We also tried the massage therapy, and I have to say the environment was absolutely amazing—listening to the sound of the waves while enjoying professional massage techniques was a five-star experience. We also went on a Jungle Trial. There are a few spots where clearer directional signage could be added. As a small suggestion for the hotel, you might consider setting up a small shop selling souvenirs,postcards and snacks. Guests can truly relax and spend a leisurely time within the hotel without needing to go anywhere. I would definitely come back again."

"Birthday Stay at Kasturi Cherating 🌴 We went to Kasturi Cherating to celebrate my birthday. Upon arrival, the buggy picked us up from the parking area and brought us to the lobby. We received a welcome drink, although it was a little too sweet for my liking. Interestingly, the buggy driver was also the one who assisted us with the check-in process. This gave me the impression that the resort might be slightly understaffed, as the same staff seemed to be handling multiple roles. We had to wait for almost an hour as it wasn’t quite time for check-in yet. While waiting, we were served complimentary tea, which was actually really good. Then we headed to our villa. The room was spacious and had a beautiful beach view, which I really loved. However, I was quite disappointed with the overall maintenance and cleanliness of the villa. There were visible stains on the floor, especially in the bathroom, and we also experienced leaking from the ceiling. It was a shame because the room itself had so much potential. For breakfast, the selection was quite limited and the food was not particularly impressive. I was expecting more variety and better quality, especially for a 5-star resort. Overall, we still had a pleasant stay and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings. However, considering the price we paid, the overall experience did not really feel like a 5-star resort. I was expecting a more luxurious experience, better-maintained facilities, higher cleanliness standards and service that matches the 5-star positioning. I hope the management can look into the staffing, maintenance, cleanliness and food quality. The resort has a beautiful setting and great potential, and I would definitely love to visit again if these areas are improved. Cleanliness: 6/10 Food: 5/10 Room: 9/10 Overall: 7/10"
