"We had a lovely stay at Mango Tree. Service was straightforward and pleasant, a lift to take your luggage upstairs, rooms nice and spacious, with pleasant additions like motion sensor lights under the bedside table should you get up in the night without wanting to switch main lights on. Water filter machines available in the rooms, washing machines and driers, and the beds extremely comfy. Location excellent too, exactly where you want to be for the food (although quite loud with some form of construction work on the building in the morning). All in all, 10/10."

"Amazing inn in a beautiful part of Leshan. It’s behind the Giant Buddha ticket office which means there is no traffic and is very peaceful, but you’re still just a few minutes in a cab from the main city. Our host was very kind and atrentive - we had caught a cold and she took care to prepare delicious, nourishing meals for breakfast and dinner. The food was definitely a highlight. The room was very comfortable and warm, very clean, and with a great bath. Can’t fault anything with our stay - would love to spend more time here!"

The front desk staff were incompetent; my reservation was for 2 PM checkout, but they called more than an hour early to urge me to cancel – speechless."

"The room was great! For a hotel I booked at around 130 yuan, I was really happy with the bed, hot water, cleanliness, and soundproofing. My husband said that apart from the first day when we forgot to close a window and were woken up by the market across the street, everything else was perfect. We couldn't hear any noise from other guests checking in. Once the windows were closed, the market hawkers' calls were barely audible. I found the location quite convenient. I prefer not to stay right in the tourist area. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to Zhongshun Street, where there's a newly renovated riverside area with shops and snacks. Zhanggong Bridge is right downstairs, so if you don't want to go far at night, you can find food within a 2-minute walk."

"This is the most humane and warm B&B I have ever stayed in. Out of curiosity, I talked about the story of the B&B with the B&B owner, Brother Huanxi. He originally rented this place as a studio related to Japanese trade. Because the food he cooked was delicious, he started to cook private dishes directly. He only cooked one table of dishes every night and took care of all the work by himself. He was also quite famous. During the epidemic, he felt that everyone actually wanted to live in a house with a yard, but many people did not have this condition. It happened that he had the conditions, so he simply built it according to his own preferences. Anyway, it's an epidemic, and the worst case scenario is known, so he will slowly toss the yard. When the epidemic is over, it shouldn't be worse. In fact, it was the nearby residents who found him and wanted to rent a house to him for a B&B. Although the conditions in all aspects were very difficult, the building itself and local policies were all problems, and he didn't have a designer, so he relied on himself to build and think, and pieced together such a warm B&B. There are many antique furniture in the B&B. He liked it when he was young and collected a lot of them. He put them in the warehouse. He didn't do it deliberately, but when he was running the B&B, they played a role in the atmosphere of the space. "This stay was absolutely fantastic! The hotel environment was serene and elegant, and the room was incredibly clean, every corner spotless and refreshing, making me feel very comfortable. The huge floor-to-ceiling windows offered stunning river views; watching the sunrise in the morning and the sunset in the evening, every snapshot was a masterpiece. The best part was the abundance of restaurants nearby; you could find local specialties just a few minutes' walk away, so finding food was never a problem. The owner was also incredibly welcoming and attentive, proactively sharing travel tips and always ready to help—like a friend. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time!"

This stay was absolutely fantastic! The location is super convenient, just a few minutes' walk from the mountain gate. The room was even cleaner than in the pictures, and the bedding was so soft and comfortable; I slept like a baby. The front desk lady was very efficient with check-in, and the owner was incredibly welcoming, even proactively recommending a sightseeing route for me. The breakfast spread was extensive, and the value for money is just unbeatable! I'll definitely choose this place again next time I visit Mount Emei.

The overall stay was fantastic, I was extremely satisfied in every aspect, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Emei Mountain! 📍Superb Location The location is absolutely amazing, practically zero kilometers from the scenic area, right opposite the landmark! The ticket office and sightseeing bus stop are downstairs, making getting around incredibly convenient. No need for detours, it's super easy to keep up with your itinerary and visit attractions – the location is simply perfect. 🧹 impeccable Cleanliness The facilities were spotless and in excellent condition, and the room cleanliness deserves a 5-star rating! Every corner was meticulously cleaned, with no odors or unpleasant odors. The bedding was soft and dry, and the pillows were just the right firmness, making for a very comfortable and restful sleep. The only downside was the lack of an elevator; the owner upgraded us to a room with a balcony on the fourth floor, which required carrying our luggage up. ❤️Heartwarming service and delicious food! The owners of this restaurant are incredibly warm and kind, treating everyone with sincerity and care. We ate there two days in a row, and the food was fantastic. I highly recommend the Sichuan-style spicy tofu fish—it was so fresh, flavorful, and delicious that we ate there twice! The owners even provided complimentary local specialty tea, similar to bitter tea, with a refreshing sweetness that cut through the richness—a truly exceptional experience. 💰Excellent value for money! Environment: The B&B is located on the shores of Qingping Lake. You can see the lake from the end of the second-floor corridor. It's about a ten-minute walk to the entrance of Qingyin Pavilion, making it very convenient. Service: You can enjoy karaoke, barbecue, and calligraphy in the courtyard. The breakfast prepared by the maids was delicious, and they greeted you warmly upon your return. They also provided a plate of delicious grapes upon check-in. Cleanliness: The room seemed recently renovated. The tatami and bed were spotless. There was a VIP projector, the shower worked well, and disposable towels and bath towels were provided. The kitchen was also visibly clean and bright. Overall, although we only stayed for one night, our weekend trip to Mount Emei was deeply impressed. It was very comfortable and felt like home. We will stay here again next time.

I am writing this review from the bottom of my heart. A family-run hotel, managed by a father and his daughter, who speaks English! The room was large, bright, and SUPER CLEAN. It was equipped with all personal hygiene products and had fast Wi-Fi, available both in common areas and individually in each room. The room had air conditioning, a TV, and very soft bed sheets. The father is extraordinarily kind, and the daughter helped me in many ways. As a solo traveler, the owner's daughter allowed me to better understand the local culture, explaining Buddhist culture and the unique features of the Baoguo Temple to me. First, I advise everyone to book the tourist bus to the peak of Mount Emeishan in advance, because tickets can sell out (as happened to me). The girl at reception was kind enough to help me purchase the ticket, making herself available to accompany me to resolve the issue. The language barrier was NOT a problem, so I advise all foreign guests to rely on this hotel. The price paid was very low, which leads the hotel to get a full 5/5. I understand why they earned all those awards; it is definitely a hotel I would return to. The location is an additional advantage of this hotel, just a one-minute walk from the ticket office and the tourist bus station that will take you to the top of the mountain. Furthermore, they also offered me a free transfer service to the train station

I booked two nights, but only stayed there one night, because I was not able to come down the mountain on the second day and had to book another hotel in the mountain. The owner was very helpfull and put my stuff in the room together and out of the the room, so I don't have to hurry down the mountain the next day to check out. Perfect for that price! Location is great!

I stayed at this hotel for a night, just before my hike up to Emei Mountain from Baguo temple. The owners are so kind and the room had a nice wooden cabin feeling. There was no smoke smell, which was great for me! I also had dinner there and it was so delicious! Then Andy gave me a personal Emei mountain map and gave me some advice. The next day I left early and I could just leave my luggage there for storage. Only 1 tip: if you have the room on the top floor be prepared to carry up your luggage since there's no elevator in the building💪🏻

I stayed here for a business trip. The room was clean and tidy, and there were many restaurants nearby, especially around Zhanggong Bridge. I'll definitely stay here again next time. I also know the owner, and they're great.

I booked 1 night at this hotel just before I ascended Jinding. After a gruelling hike from Baguo temple it was such a nice surprise to stay at this hotel. We arrived at around 9PM and we were able to still order dinner and it was so tasty! The first hot meal of the day for us! After that I took a rest and then saw that my room was full of mosquitos (I left the lights on and the window open) so I went downstairs to call for help. The owners were so nice to help me get rid of the mosquitos and then I joined her downstairs for a minute. The room itself was very clean and the bed was nice too. Totally recommend this hotel!

The room looks as in the pictures. It is a pretty room, but quite old facilities. The advantages of this hotel is the location, as it is in Leidongping and easy to access the cable car to the Golden Summit. On the other hand, the toilet seat didn't look too clean, and the water in the sink took a while to heat. Luckily the one in the shower came warm very fast. The room was super cold, and didn't have any type of heating (which I just noticed in theory it had floor heating, but I'm not sure about it as I had to be wearing a sweater in the room all the time). Also, this room in theory had mountain views, but I was in a room two floors below the reception floor, and even though there was some construction going on outside, I doubt I would be able to see the mountain, as I was in the lowest of the floors. I think it's an ok hotel to stay at if your main idea is to just sleep in a bed close to the mountain top.
