"The room was as small as described, just enough space to open a medium-sized suitcase. The shower and toilet were tiny, only fitting one adult at a time. It wouldn't be enough space to bathe a child, so it's only suitable for single travelers or couples. The foreign worker who didn't understand Cantonese had mediocre service. They insisted on scanning all of our passports and IDs for check-in... even though the Grand Hyatt Macau (or 'Resort Hotel' depending on context, assuming '鷺環海天渡假酒店' refers to a specific luxury resort) we stayed at the day before didn't require this, and the registration took a very long time. The price is getting really expensive; it's no longer a budget-friendly option."

"To make it easy to visit the World Stamp Exhibition before it closed, I chose to stay at the Karl. I was assigned the same room as last year, and it was just as comfortable, clean, and quiet as before. The shower gel and shampoo had been changed to a different brand, and the scent and results were quite good. Also, the minibar now offers Macanese specialty snacks from a certain brand (almond cookies and regular cookies). If you like them or find them tasty, I believe you can ask the staff at the hotel reception to purchase them (perhaps as souvenirs). My minor suggestions are that the beam above the bed might need some minor repairs, and only two hangers were provided, which wasn't quite enough!"

The view from the room overlooking the city is definitely a nice bonus. The staff speak English and are very helpful, which made the stay much smoother. There’s also a free luggage storage option, so you can easily leave your bags after check-out without any hassle. That said, the hotel itself feels a bit outdated and doesn’t fully match the photos in terms of quality. However, we chose one of the cheapest options in Macau for a weekend stay, so we weren’t expecting anything luxurious. Overall, it’s a practical choice if location matters more than comfort."

"The hotel is well-located, very close to the historic center of Macao. It's on the second floor (first floor in Italian terms) with no elevator, and the staircase is quite narrow, so carrying luggage up was a struggle. The room was tiny (no bigger than 2 meters by 2 meters), leaving no space for luggage. The private bathroom was also very small, but the shower had excellent water pressure. The lady at the reception was very kind."

"The environment was better than expected, with no unpleasant odors. I asked the front desk for a quieter room, and they assigned me one not facing the street. Initially, I couldn't hear anything, but at night, I kept hearing the sound of running water while trying to sleep. It wasn't loud, but it was noticeable enough for me. This was my first time seeing a hotel use disposable bed linens and duvet covers. The bed was a bit firm. The location is excellent, with many food and drink options nearby, and plenty of buses, making it very convenient to get around. The service was also great. It was super convenient that they had plugs suitable for mainland China; I didn't have to worry about forgetting my adapter. The Wi-Fi speed was decent too. Overall, I'm very satisfied."

"I'm quite satisfied with this guesthouse; it offers excellent value for money! First off, the location is great—less than a ten-minute walk to the Ruins of St. Paul's, and the bus stop isn't far either. Plus, the room was exceptionally clean and newly renovated. Since I was traveling with my parents, the front desk proactively upgraded us to a larger room when they saw we had more people, which was incredibly thoughtful. The lobby is also spacious and has free travel guides you can take as souvenirs. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience! In a place like Hong Kong and Macau, where space is at a premium, this kind of value is definitely a win."

"The hotel's bedding and toiletries were all disposable, which felt very hygienic, and the disposable bath towels were surprisingly thick – you can tell they put thought into their procurement. The room floors were sparkling clean. The front desk staff were also very warm and patient in their communication. For this price, the hotel offers incredible value for money. I highly recommend everyone stay here; it's close to the Ruins of St. Paul's and other attractions. Oh, and to the right when you exit the hotel, there's a breakfast spot run by an old lady. You have to walk a bit, but her dim sum is really authentic. I saw many elderly gentlemen eating there. The portions are generous, and the prices are very affordable. This morning, two of us ate 4 dishes for only 68 RMB."

"The hotel room was clean and tidy, the bed was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was good, so it was very quiet for a good night's rest. The front desk service was warm and polite, and check-in was very quick. The location is convenient for getting around and dining out. It offers great value for money, and overall, my stay was excellent. I'll definitely choose this hotel again if I have the chance. Highly recommended!"

GGuest UserThis trip to Macau with my parents was a pleasant surprise! To summarize, there are three main points: 1. We had two single beds and one double bed for three people, along with two bathrooms and two TVs – a delightful surprise! 2. Although the space wasn't huge, it was incredibly well-utilized and stylishly designed. We had a lot of luggage and various items, but everything fit perfectly without feeling cramped. We could slide our open suitcases directly under the large bed, eliminating the need to constantly open and close them. The bay window in the twin room was also big enough to lay out a suitcase, making it very convenient to access our belongings. Next to the bay window in the double room, there was a lounging area, which was great for the family to relax and watch TV together. 3. Lewis and Tina at the front desk were very thoughtful and provided complimentary breakfast vouchers. We stayed for two days, and the breakfast was semi-buffet style – you could order individual dishes for free, and the self-serve items changed daily. The stir-fried rice noodles were delicious. We also had lunch at the restaurant; the Western food was just as good as the Portuguese cuisine outside, and the steak was perfectly cooked. My parents were very happy and satisfied! Here are a few minor suggestions: 1. The toilet paper holder design is a bit flawed; the paper tends to fall to the floor easily when pulled. 2. The shower stall's water barrier was a bit low, causing water to overflow after showering. We were still stepping in puddles when brushing our teeth the next morning. 3. There was construction happening outside the entrance during our stay (though we didn't hear any construction noise in our room, which was excellent), making it a bit inconvenient for calling taxis and parking. We hope the road can be repaired soon.

GGuest UserReally great! Super convenient for a morning or evening stroll. The surrounding area has excellent transport links and plenty of dining options. The room was very comfortable, and the bedding was so soft, making it feel just like home. The shop on the ground floor has many hand-painted products, which are very special and interesting. I'll definitely book here again next time I'm in Macau. It was a really nice trip!

EE. TadaGreat location, around 15 min flat walk from Barra station, possibly the best budget accommodation with easy access from public transportation. Room was basic but clean, provided all I needed for a 1 night layover in Macau. There is a universal power outlet so no need to use a converter. Also within walking distance to most areas of interest in Macau center. Highly recommend

GGuest UserThe room was nice, but there was no hot water – a cold shower! But the main issue was being rushed out at check-out. They practically kicked me out, saying if I stayed even 30-40 minutes late, I'd have to pay for a full day! I checked in late at night, didn't get enough rest, and woke up around noon, only to be immediately pressured to leave. This was despite the next check-in being at 2 PM, leaving plenty of time to clean if I just took a little longer to pack. In the end, they wouldn't even let me sit in the hallway or on the stairs; I needed Wi-Fi to set up my eSIM. Overall, the hotel is okay, but the staff isn't polite.

SSandao.The environment was good, for 200 patacas for a one-night stay in Macau, a big bed, and a private bathroom – it was more than enough. If you're out late in Macau, it's definitely more comfortable to stay overnight. The front desk staff was very gentle and patient. You can dry clothes on the rooftop. The only thing is this room was on the first floor, next to a masseuse, and an older masseuse was a bit... overly friendly.

GGuest UserThe staff were helpful and courteous. Location accessible to  many places in the Macau central area. What we highlighted to the staff was other guests did not observere the no smoking rule and lingering cigarette smell permeates into other rooms as well as the corridor.

The transportation is super convenient, and the best part is that the Hong Kung Night Market is just a few steps downstairs – perfect for finding food and late-night snacks. The room was clean and tidy, making for a comfortable and pleasant stay. What really stood out was the excellent attitude of the staff; they were friendly and polite. For anyone on a budget, this is definitely a fantastic choice!

The location was super convenient for getting around; we went to Senado Square almost every night and it was incredibly easy to get to the border gate. MMr’zengThis is definitely my top choice for accommodation when visiting the old district. The bus takes you directly there, and there are plenty of restaurants downstairs, as well as a supermarket for convenient shopping. It's close to the Ruins of St. Paul's and just a few hundred meters from the Municipal Affairs Bureau, making it super convenient for shopping. Highly recommended!
