"I originally booked a queen room, but the owner upgraded us to a twin room so we could see the street view, which was really nice of them! As someone with social anxiety, it was a huge relief. The owner felt like a friendly and genuine local. There's no elevator, but the owner helped us with our luggage, they were truly amazing. Even though it's a guesthouse, it felt more like a hotel in terms of standards; it was very clean and much better than I expected. Most importantly, the room was toasty warm, it had that sunny scent, and felt very safe. There's a restaurant downstairs, and breakfast is free. I especially recommend their yak meat hotpot, it's incredibly fresh and the soup is genuinely delicious. My friend and I couldn't even finish it all, the portions are very generous. Eating that in winter was so warming, it was a truly great experience. I was really touched by how kind the owner was 😭"

"I stayed in the dorms at Xidu Hostel in Siguniang. The location is decent, fairly central, slightly uphill but very close to the stairs leading down to the main street, with shops and restaurants nearby. About a 10–15 minute walk to the taxi junction, and the entrance to Changping Valley. The dorms were basic but had a good atmosphere, and the staff were friendly. The common area is inviting and great for meeting people. The shower could be cleaner (some hair left behind) and there are no towels provided, only small disposable face-towel size ones, which is a bit inconvenient. Overall, a friendly and enjoyable place to stay"

"This guesthouse is nestled halfway up the mountain, very close to both Shuangqiao Valley and Changping Valley. It has its own secure parking garage. Both the male and female owners are incredibly warm and welcoming, and they also serve meals on-site. Last night, the four of us enjoyed a delicious yak hotpot, freshly made barley bread, and roasted potatoes – it was absolutely amazing! (˶╹ꇴ╹˶)~ We even wanted to order more, but the owners kept telling us to eat what we had first, and then order if we were still hungry. True to their word, after finishing the hotpot and barley bread, we were pretty much full. My husband was feeling a bit of altitude sickness during the day, so before bed, I purchased three hours of oxygen service. The owners helped set it up and advised us to remove the tube after an hour, letting the oxygen diffuse into the room, and stressed not to shower or wash our hair. He slept exceptionally well that night, and his altitude sickness was gone by the next morning. Breakfast starts at 8:30 AM and included pumpkin porridge, barley bread, four side dishes, and four eggs. We ate until we were full, feeling warm and comfortable. The bedding at the guesthouse is very comfortable, and the bed is soft. This morning, as the sun rose around 7 AM, I turned on the electric blanket and lay in bed watching the scenery outside – it was absolutely stunning! 😊"

"I was exhausted by the time I reached the scenic area in the evening. Many cars were circling for parking, so I contacted the owner just before I arrived. He was incredibly welcoming, came out to greet me, and even helped guide me to a parking spot. Their place has a lovely, peaceful little courtyard. It was early autumn for this trip, and the scenery along the way was beautiful. When I got to the hotel, I found the room cozy, clean, and charming. The owner is such a kind person; my partner suffered from altitude sickness, and he actively offered advice and helped us deal with it. Even though we ended up leaving early, he still helped us sort out the follow-up arrangements, which was incredibly thoughtful. Thank you so much! Our trip was short but very enjoyable. "A guesthouse near Siguniang Mountain. They offer oxygen service (for an additional fee) and a humidifier (a big plus!). There's heating and electric blankets, and the hot water for showers was excellent – the best hot water I had throughout my entire trip in Western Sichuan. Facilities: Complete Hygiene: Clean and sanitary Environment: Quiet surroundings, close to the scenic area Service: Staff were friendly and had a great service attitude."
