"The location is incredibly convenient for getting around. It's surrounded by wholesale streets full of affordable clothing, as well as many small restaurants, coffee shops, and convenience stores. Usually, it's very quiet, but this time there was a large construction site next door that was quite noisy, even late at night and on weekends. The environment is decent and relatively clean; there's no waiting for the toilet or shower. Unfortunately, the shower room had a rather strong odor. The service was very professional."

"It was my second time staying in this hostel in about 8 years and it is still the most comfortable sleep I've had in a dormitory bunk (I even overslept a couple of times) in Tokyo. The toilets and shower areas are the most spacious as well. The location is great as it is near multiple metro stations as well as JR Bakurocho station which allowed me to utilise my Tokyo metro pass and JR pass without issues. The service staff are excellent as well. The storage lockers were a little small but sufficient for usage."

"✨ A Hidden Gem in Ikebukero This place is a rare find in a great location. Depending on which metro line you take, it’s about a 10–15 min walk from the station (C1 exit). The street is quite narrow, so large vehicles can’t enter. If you’re taking a taxi or shuttle, you’ll need to get dropped off nearby. The reception staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We arrived early, and they allowed us to store our luggage safely—plenty of space provided. The accommodation runs on an AirBnB-style concept, with shared kitchen, bathrooms, and common areas. A washing machine is available for free use, and the dryer costs only 100 yen for 30 minutes. We booked a triple-sharing ensuite room with 3 futons, strong air-conditioning, and enough space to open our luggage comfortably. It’s cosy but perfect for three guests. Since it’s a shared-style accommodation, guests are encouraged to keep quiet and respect others. Overall, it’s simple, clean, and comfortable—great value if you’re looking for a home-like stay in the heart of Ikebukero."

"I checked in the night before CM107 Day 2. For just over 100 per night, and with its super convenient location for taking the Seagull to Odaiba (or the Monorail to the airport), the price is definitely unbeatable. The subway Daimon Station is right downstairs, along with convenience stores. Staff service made check-in easy. The bed was quite firm, which I actually found comfortable after not sleeping well on soft beds the previous two nights. There's a light inside the capsule, but only one two-pin socket, which was a bit insufficient."

"I stayed on the female floor and it was very noisy (I realise the hotel has no control over this) as there were 20 women in the room and guests were packing/unpacking sometimes at 2am or 4am.. There were 3 sinks, one soap and no paper towels so the space was cramped and not always clean. There are two toilets which have a sink and paper towels. There are tiny lockers for your shoes but they are not secure so you can't keep valuables there. There is very little storage in the room - my bag fitted under the bunk but because of the ladder, another wouldn't fit there so there were cases in the aisle. The bunks were narrow with a light, socket and coat hanger. The mattress wasn't particularly comfy, and it was dusty in the gap between the bed and the wall. The showers were on the top floor, they were hot but the water turns off every so often so you have to keep turning it on. They were clean when I went and have space for keeping things dry The kitchen area was a microwave and kettle, a table, counter and a few chairs. It was small for a hostel of this size. There are washers and dryers for a fee. The staff on reception were always friendly"

"Overall is clean and good for short stay. Got personal space with curtain cover, mirror side rack and lamp. So lucky we got quiet roommates. Amenities: washing machine 300yen and dryer 100 yen per time, but dryer not so effective. We took 2 times to dry but still not that dry."

"The hotel is near Ebisu station that was very convenient to go to Shibuya area. This is a very simple hotel for one night, the place is quiet and the staff is polite. It’s not expensive, so you shouldn't expect much. It wasn't very neat, which is a bit strange for Japanese service. Overall, to sum it up, the only attractive thing about the hotel is its location, it was very close to the place I had the meeting."

"My 3rd time staying here for the Tokyo marathon week. Overall what you expect and cleanliness is quite good. Morning curry is always awesome and happy hour from 5pm to 3am. Communal showers is something to experience in Japan and onsen. Only roll if the dice is your neighbouring folks if they are relatively quiet or big snorers. There are always earplugs. Highly recommend in the heart if shinjuku."

"This place is essentially like a bathhouse or hot spring spa back home, the kind where you pay 39-79 RMB for unlimited soaking. The difference is, their bunks aren't first-come, first-served; you need to register for one. Anyone who's spent a night at a bathhouse knows that how well you sleep entirely depends on the people around you. I had bad luck this time – two people nearby were snoring, so I barely slept all night. Otherwise, just imagine it's a hot spring spa. If you've never been, a 39-RMB experience will give you the idea. Overall, it's actually pretty good. I booked a bunk on the second floor, which requires a password to enter. The showers and toilets are shared but in multiple private rooms. There are several rows of tables in the common area, so you can bring your laptop and continue working if you need to. If you enjoy soaking, the baths on the fourth floor are also nice. The location is indeed unbeatable. It's very close to Ueno-Okachimachi Station and Ueno isn't far either, making it a lively and bustling area. Plus, the outside noise doesn't bother you inside. I'd recommend it to anyone who needs early morning transport or plans to stay out late in Ueno. Just bring earplugs. For photos, look at others' – I only have one quick snap from a QQ group chat where I was complaining."
