"I visited the Chengde Mountain Resort during the May Day holiday. After looking at many hotels online, I finally booked the Ji Hotel. The hotel is located in a residential area with its own parking lot, which is very convenient. The rooms are spacious, and the hotel environment is excellent. There's a laundry room and a gym on the B1 level. On a rainy day, my outer clothes got wet, but they were all clean and dry by the time I got back to the hotel – very convenient! Before checking in, because I wasn't familiar with the area or how to explore the Chengde Mountain Resort, I contacted the hotel staff in advance. Xiao Ai handled everything for me; she was incredibly helpful, providing advice on transportation, tickets, and routes. We even happened to arrive when she was on duty, which felt like meeting an online friend in person – it was very friendly!"

"Out of all the places we stayed during our self-drive trip through Inner Mongolia, this was by far the best! Both the owner and the staff were incredibly genuine and welcoming. I absolutely have to rave about the owner's freshly roasted lamb leg – crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and absolutely delicious. It was genuinely amazing. "This hotel deserves a five-star rating for its front desk service, which was far superior to the treatment I received at the Yage Huanju Hotel in Beidaihe. The front desk staff were enthusiastic, thoughtful, and anticipated all our needs. Although the parking lot is small, the attendants proactively helped us park the car. The restaurant staff were patient and provided timely service. All the hotel staff made us feel well taken care of and right at home. The only drawbacks were that the room was a bit small, and the ceiling height was low, which felt a little cramped. The outer pane of the double-glazed window was quite dirty, likely due to the difficulty of cleaning it."

I don't usually review places, but I couldn't help but recommend them. It was so relaxing and comfortable here, and everyone of all ages could find something fun. The tent room's facilities exceeded my expectations, with a smart toilet, private bathroom, and comfortable bedding. Bottled water and a kettle were also provided. It was a bit chilly in the mountains at night on May 1st, but the air conditioning provided heat and an electric blanket, so I slept soundly. I experienced the wildness, the facilities were convenient, and the service was just the right amount of friendly. It was a very comfortable stay. I felt the owner's attentiveness and dedication in every aspect, from the supplies to the quality of the food and the design. It was absolutely amazing. It's a great place to escape from the world. There are deer, black pigs, and poultry nearby. You can climb a small hill to the observation deck to enjoy the breeze, bask in the sun on a lounge chair, watch ducks swimming in the water, and see bubbles bursting in the sun. There's also a big, spoiled dog. The cafe is perfect for playing chess and reading. It's a perfect place to lie down and daydream. Falling asleep under the starry sky with the sound of gurgling water is quiet and comfortable. A light rain in the morning brings another scene. The breakfast is simple but delicious, especially the pickled vegetables I pickled myself. I like it here and will come again.

The hotel is directly opposite the Bifengmen parking lot, and it's about a 20-minute walk to Lizheng Gate of the Mountain Resort. The quad room with bunk beds was very family-friendly for our family with two children. While the hotel's facilities are fairly basic, I must particularly praise their excellent 9.9 Mountain Resort day tour and the front desk staff. First, regarding the Mountain Resort day tour: it lasted a full 5 hours, and our guide, Xiao Qi, didn't waste a single minute. He provided thorough explanations, meticulously planned our route, and there were absolutely no sales pitches or additional charges. For such an honest and dedicated guide, the hotel deserves a huge commendation! And then there's the front desk staff – every single person was beaming with smiles. They offered detailed information, provided attentive service, and went above and beyond to assist with any request. They even helped us cut a watermelon we bought, booked tickets for a show, and thoughtfully provided cushions for us as we were heading out. Truly heartwarming service! Hidden gem: Just down the stairs next to the hotel is the Temple of Confucius. Plus, there's a highly popular lamb soup spot nearby, serving delicious *shaobing* (sesame flatbreads)!

Overall, it was pretty good. It's newly opened and very clean, and the location is easy to find. On the first floor, the tap water was yellow, probably due to a blockage. The room was very dry in winter, making it uncomfortable and so dry I couldn't sleep. The hotel breakfast was very average; there wasn't much to eat.

Yanming Lake Hotel gave me the most profound impression during my trip this year. I am very satisfied with the environment and tent room. When we checked in that day, a total of four families stayed in tents. It was very quiet and the scenery was super beautiful. I regretted why I didn’t choose this place on the first day. It was only half an hour away from Ulan Butong. Shortly after checking in that day, it started to rain. There was thunder and lightning, and I even photographed beautiful lightning. You can feel the wind and rain outside in the tent. Then the power went out for ten minutes. Rainwater also began to flow into the house from the cracks in the tent. I was a little panicked at first and asked customer service. The customer service said not to worry, as the rain would be lighter and I could change to another tent. Later I discovered that as long as it wasn’t windy, it wouldn’t matter if it rained (it rained heavily that night, so I slept very soundly). I also encountered a wild deer running wild by the lake. I asked customer service and they said it was not raised by them and it should be wild. You can really reserve a day for Yanming Lake and just stay there. Looking at the endless grassland at the entrance of the tent, you feel so relaxed. The only regret was that it was raining and I couldn't see the stars in the sky. The hotel boasts a beautiful environment and fresh air, and both the facilities and cleanliness are impeccable. The breakfast and dinner at the restaurant were delicious. Overall, the service was satisfactory. However, I have to complain about a front desk staff member who answered the phone between 7 and 10 PM on the 31st. The first time I reported the washing machine wasn't working, she actually told me it was leaking and advised me not to use it. I ended up fixing and using it myself. The second time I called about the shower water not getting hot, her response was even more ridiculous: she told me to just keep running the water until it got hot. I wasted nearly half an hour, and the water never got warm. In the end, a housekeeping staff member came and simply inserted the gas card, which solved the problem. What's worse is her terrible attitude; she was argumentative and refused to admit her incompetence in handling issues, acting as if she knew everything. She definitely deserves a bad review! On another note, the hotel is very close to Jinshanling Great Wall, which is absolutely worth a visit!
