"Really nice hotel with a low price, definitely will choose again to stay if I travel to Japan again. Nice comfy bed, especially the bathroom and bathtub, everything is clean and new. Convenient location, has local restaurants nearby."

"It was really good to stay at Resol, the staff were friendly, the rooms were clean, the location was excellent- right in the middle of the high street- but the hotel itself served as a sanctuary and can I add, the scent when you walked in was heavenly- I even bought their signature essential oil. The hotel offers experiences for their guests, I watched a Maiko dance and practiced calligraphy with a calligraphy master. The rooms were just right - they provide pyjamas, slippers, and all the things you need, like a phone charger- that was super helpful and convenient for travelers who might need converters. Breakfast was just OK, what was on offer and the selection could be significantly improved to match the standard of the hotel. Also, they provide a laundromat for anyone who wishes to wash their clothes, which Is great, the only downside is that there was a lot of dust everywhere from the dryer- so this made it hard to use it. Nevertheless a great experience."

"Very convenient location, close to Kyoto Station. The staff were super friendly and helpful, always ready to answer questions. The environment was lovely, and they even provided pajamas in the room. Breakfast was delicious and varied. Plus, they offer free luggage storage after check-out, which is a big plus!"

"Nice small hotel, they give you umbrella and asked you to keep in your room throughout your stay and only give them back before check out. We came in September so its either scorching hot or raining. It wasn't raining when we were there but hotttt. So the umbrellas are our savior. They have luggage storage, so we left our luggage on our arrival (check in at 3 or 4pm) so we roamed around and came back later at night. At 12MN they will close the door and you need to use the password (they'll let you know beforehand obviously). We came back around 10 or 11pm and all our lugagges were already in our designated room, so convenient. The room is not so small neither very spacious. Just nice for us both, we took turn to open our lugagge. And we didn't shop much in Kyoto. Our iron unfortunately broke when we arrived in Japan. So day 1 in Kyoto we didn't managed to get the iron since another guest already using it (we checked in at night) but the next day the staff kindly went to the other guest room and take iron after they finished using it and sent to our room. We were so grateful. We went to the Kyoto Kawaramachi Station by cab. Since we didn't download the GOtaxi App nor Didi before arriving in Japan, we cannot register the app since they required phone number to send confirmation (we used esim) so we just waived the cab by the road and took about 5-10min to get one. We planned to transport our luggage to Osaka on the same day from Kyoto but we missed the time. You need to send the luggages to the designated (not all Yamato centers offer same day delivery service) Yamato Transport Service Center before 10am for the same day delivery service. We arrived around 10:40am so we got into another cab to the station and bring all of our lugagges with us on the Shinkasen."

"The room is compact but has enough space to open luggage comfortably. The location is convenient, within walking distance to the JR station and Kyoto Railway Museum. The bathroom is well-designed with a separate wet and dry area. The shower area feels like an onsen-style setup, with a space for washing before soaking in the tub — my son and I enjoyed a bath there both nights. Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of choices. The hotel also provides complimentary items like bath salts and lotions, which was a nice touch. The Kyoto-style atmosphere is beautiful and relaxing. There’s also a popular ramen shop downstairs, perfect for a late-night meal."

"This hotel offers incredible value for money! I saw some reviews mentioning no windows, but I found that if you pull back the curtain behind the bed, there's a window that allows for ventilation! The location is excellent, with a bus stop right downstairs and the subway not far. It's very close to Sanjusangen-do Temple and convenient for visiting Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine! The hotel is also connected to a 7-Eleven, making it super easy to grab anything you need. In the common areas, there's hot water and a microwave available, and a simple breakfast is provided in the mornings. There were a lot of foreign guests, and the front desk staff spoke good English, giving it a vibe similar to the youth hostels I've stayed at in Europe. I went on a weekday and paid less than 200 for a single room. I didn't have high expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised – the decor and details are adorable! Highly recommend! I'd definitely come back if I have the chance!"

"The room isn't huge, but it's big enough to comfortably fit a 28-inch suitcase. The location is super convenient; you can walk to the shopping district and Kiyomizu-dera Temple. Plus, there's staff at the front desk who speak Chinese. On weekdays, the price is a bit higher compared to hotels in Osaka and Kobe."

"Great stay! Clean, easy to find and walk to convenient stores/supermarkets. Reliable staffs that will go the extra mile to sort your luggage forwarding even if they don’t speak your language. Hassle free. Elevator stopping at lobby each use might annoy you if you’re rushing 😂 My favourite thing is their calm music selections on the TV while you wind down, now I weirdly miss it! Would come back again."

"Convenient location once you're there - walking distance to Nishiki market and many attraction. However it is about 500m from the train station, so you need to factor this in if bringing big luggages or traveling with anyone who can't walk far. Room is good sized for Japanese hotel. And the room is very clean, well designed and has everything you need. Free amenities at reception. Breakfast spread is small but sufficient, the variety remained unchanged in the 4 days we are there. Free coffee tea at reception. Super value for money."

"The hotel lobby has plenty of seating and features a large collection of comic books, which is fantastic for comic lovers. The rooms are a bit small and lack a desk, which might be inconvenient for business travelers who need to work, but they can always use the lobby. The lobby also offers various hot and cold beverages, which is a nice touch. The only downside was that the showerhead couldn't be fixed in place, making showering a bit tricky."
